Somebody give this man a medal. I have a gaming laptop and it's only a Tera old but it just wouldn't charge now. I don't know anything about PC's and even performed a hard reset by taking out the battery and all (was very scared to do it since I've never done it before and have no experience). Nothing worked, then I saw this video and voila! The BIOS method worked. Why is that BTW? Did HP give me a bad update?

This actually works, before updating bios its plugged and charging and after bios update it is 1hr 1 min or whatever to fully charge. Thank you sir

but update : i faced this problem several times after that and everytime you have to uupdate bios and now its actually not working, updating bios has no effect on that

Thank you so much! Second method worked! I even went all the way to the computer store I bought my laptop from and they couldn't help me. Suggested getting a new battery, but that was hard to source since it's an old laptop. This saved me!
Brother I always thought that these thanks comments are scripted or something but on my mothers name I updated the bios (but my system was acer and my charge was below 15 so I had to do some modification) and voila! My laptop opened and increased 9% charge instantly (before it was 8%) my laptop was so precious to me I cried when I thought of replacing the batterie bcz I dont have that much money 😢

@@Fyusion7 No it didn't work out, but fortunately the laptop still under warranty so i ended up taking it to the support service and after a weak they told me that the battery is damaged and you have to replace the battery but unfortunately they don't have a battery for this model so i ended up returning the laptop to the store and taking my money back, THEN i bought a new one and i made a video about it in my channel 🌚

Screen time 9:01 - I followed up until this point, my pc is not showing HPQ Flash Wizard screen.
It didn't work for me (HP Pavilion dv5). After BIOS upgrade stays at 0% charging forever (battery really at 0, the applied voltage remains 11.2V, i.e. 3.7V/cell). Not discharging, not charging, just flat at the minimum of a LiPo.
Then you need your charger or your battery replaced
@@freetv1395 Ok, I have the schematic, now it works (as a terminal) just because the battery is not calibrated and 100% is seen as 60. It does not overcharge, cause the ref is electronic but it keeps the secondary power line active. I'll look for Q29, thanks a lot!
