I read the Bible 3 times this year with Protestant eyes, I’m 36 and just started my journey in Christ Jesus this time last year. I don’t go to church, I tried but it was too dull for me and felt dead in a way. That’s probably my fault, they were a great group of people and doing the best they knew how. I’m now looking into orthodoxy and it’s very intriguing. I grew up hearing about Jesus, but just thought he was some guy that died for us for some reason, well after reading and studying many hours a day for the past year, I have learned way more than that. The biggest leap for me is not the icons, or any of that, it’s the calling someone father(I do not mean to offend and would love to see of my reasoning is out of ignorance),and there are no orthodoxy churches within I think 100 miles of me. Now as for the positives, I see that the orthodox community seems on the surface to be more Christ like as far as I can tell, the worship looks amazing and fulfilling, I don’t see pride or boasting, I don’t see the prosperity gospel, I don’t see the judgemental attitudes, i dont see the hate that I do between Protestant denominations, and a huge positive is the communion, I’ve never taken communion and I would love to(because I love the Lord and He told us to do so, and it seemed to me like a command). Well besides all this I don’t know much else to say, except this: Besides having these UA-cam videos I have no teachers around here, I have my Bible and the Holy Spirit of course, but just like the Eunuch I can’t understand without a teacher. Thanks for any advice, and for reading this jumbled mess of illiterate grammar. ❤

@@TheTransfiguredLife I am kind of in the same boat, I feel so disenfranchised with Protestantism, but I am also turned off by the kissing of icons of Mary at my local orthodox church, I am like 90% there, but I can't get beyond this.
@@HubSheepgo hang out with seniors and watch them kiss pictures. You have to remember they are not just pictures. They are pictures of good people that teach us and dedicated their lives to teaching us about salvation. They deserve our respect and to be remembered. Just look at what happened to the west when icons were removed. God was evicted shortly after and here we are.

Waww this seems to be a great work and book!! I would definitely order it at some point. St Porphyrios use to talk about how angels take care of the universe and creation and how they fight with the fallen angels that want to create distraction on the higher levels of the universe. He himself was been taken to the end of universe and was able to give answers even to the NASA scientists about the universe. He had the charisma to talk to the angels in their language and so so many other charismas. I am sure he would love this book. 🥰

Give the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY THE PRAISE FOR ALL, EVEN THE SEASONS. HE IS THE ONE WHO CREATED IT , IM A FAN OF THE ONE WHO SENT THOSE ANGELS TO GO OVER EACH SEASON! Even revalation 22:8 , when that told angel told him to stand up and not do that, im sure he would tell u to thank the creator aswell ! This ismt anything we need to habe to habe understanding on til we get too heaven and the LORD OF LORDS has us do what we are there to do in JESUS CHRIST mighty name!! Love to all of you tho! If its not in the word of GOD and in the new or old testament there is a reason why the LORD did not want it in there but thats my opinion and my opinion doesnt matter tho so GOD bless u! This topic is more about the angels than the one who is in charge of all but thats what the title is about i guess lol... but i feel like there is more of an intriguing curiosity about them thru this video and thats great and all they are spirits that are holy and wonderfully made but still by the MOST AMAZING , WONDERFUL, MIGHTY, COUNSELOR in the universe the LORD OF LORDS and the KING OF KINGS!!
