Have you tried the Revell (of Germany) chrome spray paint? It is expensive, but works well. Also, a company called Molotow makes chrome marking pens in 1, 2 and 4 mm widths that I have had success with painting window frames and body trim. Use Tamiya masking tape to get a clean edge, and a metal or silicone tool, of the kind often used for clay modeling, to burnish the edges of the masking tape to prevent the chrome from seeping underneath. oh yeah, I tried Molotow, but the problem with it is that this layer never dries completely. I saw the method of covering Molotow with Ceramic compound and that's what I might try next :)
