Why won't California have separate prisons for Mexicans, Asian and black? Doing time is already hard enough. Make Soledad for Black inmates, make Chino for Mexican prisoners and make Tracy for Asian prisoners. It makes sense for Mexicans to have at least their own prisons
that's not the solution because inclusion isn't the problem. If you can figure out why this is mainly an issue in S. Cal and not N. Cal or even outta state then you can fix the problem. Most places don't have this issue, for whatever reason So Cal loves to keep bs going
Look into the southern prisons. Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, etc. There’s only one group victimizing all of the others and the group that does all the victimizing enjoys basketball. There’s a reason California politics are set up the way they are, because the group that enjoys basketball has always wanted to victimize the other groups. Strength comes with solidarity, not individuality.
That CYA system sounds like it was like a rotc program for going to prison instead of the military. Kids should have every opportunity to change, and be shown there's more to life than gangs and prison. I know where I went to juvy at Kimbo in Fort Worth, Texas, that place is notorious for being basically Tarrant County Jail for minors. And they wouldn't just fight, they would run something up in you. It wasn't really that racial like regular jail/prisons but it was definitely a pretty bad place whenever I went there
The thing about always punching someone is that hands get easily injured with all those little bones [metacarpals; phalanges]. I wish I knew how to use my elbows as a kid. Closing the distance with elbows would have done wonders for a counter-attack. That punch should be a flurry of punches just in case the first one didn't elicit the desired result. If you hit hard enough, maybe both hands get injured. Let me guess . . . politics do not provide for injury time-off. That aside, that whole racist experiment sounds like the CDCR's method to increase recidivism. It worked! Prisons are filled to capacity and then some. Gyms are housing the overfill.
