- Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is one of the best isekai anime to ever do it and it just recently had its second season finish, so now is a perfect time to talk about just how fantastic it is, especially Rudy, Eris, Roxy, and Sylphie for obvious reasons. The Eminence in Shadow is also still the king of trashy isekai. Both are peak fiction.

I really love mushoku tensei my favorite anime. But season 2 part 1 wasnt the greatest (I've only watched the anime). The school arc is way too long and boring and before season 2 started airing I was expecting Rudeus to go look for his mother instead of going to school. So when I realized he'd just go to school and it would basically be a slice of life I was disappointed. And I've never been a big fan of sylphie either, always found her too vanilla and boring (And I hate short hair, I've always thought that she looks more like a dude than a girl), so this entire season being based on sylphie as well didnt make it any better. Personally I was hoping she wouldnt return to the anime 🥲. But im still glad we're getting more mushoku tensei anime anyway tho still my favorite anime of all time 💙

@@trestons that's good to hear I was hoping for a lot of action this part, but if next one has a lot of action Im really excited 😆. yeah I think she'll look better with longer hair but cant see myself liking her character that much more even after growing her hair out, but it's a huge step in the right direction at least xd

Is this the one where, instead of confronting directly his disturbed view of sexuality through his own mistakes and growing from that (like a redemption story), he just suffers from random misunderstanding and changes for no logical reason?
Because that seems like Mushoku Tensei.
(I understand that the author is trying to do a redemption story, but I don't think he knows WHY redemption stories work).

As said in the video, it’s certainly about him growing out of the stunted hole he put himself in after 30 years of solitude from being bullied, learning to move past that and enjoy life again, but it’s not about ceasing to be a disgusting creep. That’s always gonna be a thing because that’s who he is.

I don't think Rudy was a true pedophile in his past life. I just think it stop being about what he was actually attracted to(both sexually and romantically) and his mind focused too much on the pleasure side of sex and wrapped his way of thinking into accepting being fine with anything despite age or gender when in reality he's just attracted to adult women. Not to justify looking at illegal child porn but i don't think he was actually ever attracted to children in that way. I'm saying this as a LN reader who's read every author interview
@@hunterkage2842 IIRC he’s wanking it to a real you-know-what in the WN and, in general, he sexually assaults Eris and many other young girls. Really all you need. He’s def a you-know-what, but he ends up getting Sylphie and probably the other two girls so he doesn’t really have a reason to continue going after younger ones. It’s meant to represent his descent into degeneracy, where once you go far enough, you can become like that. His second chance on life didn’t remove that, and he’s still attracted to them, but he got a woman so he’s now more focused on her. For now, anyway.

He sexually assaults Eris yes but that's probably just bad habits, like he should be physically incapable of even feeling horny as a child especially as a baby. The fact he acts preverted as a baby tells me he's just acting that way out of habit or because he thinks he should act like that.
Plus because he views his new world as a fantasy world, I doubt he acted that way in his previous life.
Later on he shows no attraction to underage girls even in his mind, he even questions why he isn't sexually attracted to Aisha because in the past he would had settled for a incestuous relationship but now that he understands his sexuality better isn't interested in his little sister.
@@lucasvanwijngaarden670 yes, he also questions why he isn't attracted to Aisha so he isn't even willing to go for his sister. His tastes are pretty normal (outside of bellybutton licking and Eris dominating him, he just had a confused view of sex and his sexuality in the past.
