Not being able to buy upgrade parts and the less than enjoyable cleaning of the ultra 2024 sucked and put me off it. I’ve been waiting for the Infinity for a year now, I knew it was coming and you had been talking about it offhand for ages. To see it finally arrive and bring so many features I’ve been looking forward to. It’s pricey, but it’s what I’ve wanted and saved for. I got the Squidmar variant and 2 needles. I cannot wait. My only regret is they haven’t done a collab with you!
@@Aztechnology. you can upgrade the ultra with other parts not a problem 👌 as for the new one it's incredible on what you can achieve with it There is loads more coming up with the infinity so say tuned thanks for your feedback and support with the channel much appreciated
@@dredfxcustompaint yea it took a long time to happen. But it finally did and more than I would have imagined as well. I had reached out to them a few times about the needles and caps for the ultra as the base 2024 ultra doesn’t have a hot swappable end cap like the other 2024 models. I watched the unveiling of all the new parts and upgrades. It’s incredible and a testament to them, that they kept it all forwards compatible and have really made a fully customizable ecosystem. I will likely upgrade the ultra eventually since it’s a great base. But I think it makes sense to get the Infinity for what I’m working on. After all is said and done I’d be spending nearly that much to upgrade all the parts on the ultra anyway and having an extra brush is nice.
@@Aztechnology. Just a FYI, you swap the whole front end with an ultra. Everything is compatible as long as you size match. Lets say you are using a .45 on your ultra just buy the .45 evo aircap and crown and swap it in. Or if you wanted to run a .28 with removable crown just buy the .28mm needle, nozzle and fineline cap set and swap the parts in to your Ultra. Done.
@@rankcolour8780 yup I do know this. But the parts to do this are just now becoming available. When the Ultra 2024 came out, they didn’t have the new nozzle sets and upgrade parts from the new lines available. I understand they are now, and that’s great. Some of the parts as of yet aren’t available, like some of the infinity parts I may want to match. I can definitely turn it into a really cool evolution at this point, which would be incredible. But again would when said and done be nearly as expensive as just having another brush. What they’ve done is awesome in terms of customization and now availability. The 2024 parts were just a long time in coming. The added features of the infinity for the moment. Just seem worth it to me to grab the entire brush.
How do you find color changing? I always liked the Iwatas because the cup is wide and easy to clean out. It makes switching colors easy. How well does this brush perform flushing out the used color?
@@PocoCalleCustoms its talking her into it bro and convincing her I need it especially when she knows I've the 771 creos and that paints cracking detail , 😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉
What I would be really interested in: what are your thoughts on the 0.4 setup of the 2in1? It is a slightly bigger size, but has all the technology of the detail setup. What could I expect? I think about a smaller spraying cone, better pick up from the needle at low pressure possibly, maybe a slightly finer atomisation with thicker paints. What did you experience with it?
@@alternate3787 hi using the 0.25mm the brush with thin paints is incredible when it comes to detail the atomization is perfect I sat with it at 20psi up close With no dramas as for the 0.44 I will do some tests with all I can say is if you have tryed a micron you will love this
@@dredfxcustompaint Oh I would pick this over a Micron at any time. It is super thrilling to know that there is a new innovative competitor in the market at next to half the price of the Micron, while Iwata will still be milking that old patent dry when the Infinity 3024 launches
I've never tried H&S. I love the floating nozzle design, but the lack of a consistent trigger response has always put me off. Are these new ones on par with Iwata control? What's the difference main between the Evolution and Infinity?

@@azraelraven1258 your going to love it I cannot put it down at the minute 😆 get your paint mix right and you will see what this brush can achieve it's incredible
@@tereskovo I think if it's your first airbrush I would go with the evolution 2 in 1 first it has nice feedback in the trigger and comes with the 028mm for fine stuff and the 0.45 mm for thicker paints 👍 then move up to the infinity later on
He will be? Cool! I saw him in the reveal video, that will be good then. I had wondered if Angel had the titanium nozzle set up in his 'brush, but there's internal changes as well though isn't there?
Probably the best angle you took was to compare it with iwata, because IF the new infinity is so superb it definitely beats iwata micron for the price... and you get the pluses of modern design and machinery, at least those would seal the deal for me.
I am curious with the Infinity CRPLUS 2024 because it uses different size nozzle needle combo(Titanium system) if it works with the other parts or is it purely 0.24mm and 0.44mm Titanium system nozzles setup. It really feels like they are trying to get away from having everything work together and have a premium line they can charge more on sort of Custom Micron.
I'm going to guess the reverse is true. The Infinity head etc. will of course cost more because of materials and manfacturing, and it's designed for the high end - _but_ it's likely you can put the Infinity head/nozzle/cap into the Evolution or, if you really wanted to, the Ultra. There's a video where Warrick shows how you can take parts from the Evolution to "level up" an Ultra, and so I'm assuming the same is true here if you didn't want to go all-in on the Infinity itself.
@darkowl9 I don't think that's the case now like the old infinity and evo where H&S list backwards compatibility. Why would they make the infinity 0.24 and 0.44 but the ultra and evolution 0.28 and 0.45 It's so odd they do slightly different nozzle and needle sizes.
@@scottyboy6269 Ah, I see where you're confused because the miliilmetres did change, but it's not as big a deal as you think. So the thing is, in H&S the threading and fitting of the head is compatible between all three. So long as you match the sized parts together, they will all fit in any of H&S' three main airbrushes (I'm assuming the same is true for the Infinity 2024 here). The 0.4 -> 0.45 and 0.2 -> 0.28 is actually just a tweak to the nozzle size. You can fit an older 0.4 nozzle assembly into the Evo 2024, or the newer 0.45, or presumably the Infinity's 0.44, or the older 0.2, or the newer 0.28 _so long as you match the parts_ that fit together. That is, you can't put a 0.28 nozzle with a 0.2 cap, or vice versa. Think of it as being same as you can't put a 0.4 needle with a 0.2 nozzle. I _think_ the 0.2 and 0.4 needles don't have the same variation as the nozzles. If I understand right, a 0.2 needle will work in a 0.2 or 0.24 or 0.28 nozzle. Same with 0.4 fitting 0.4, 0.44 and 0.45. If the nozzle and cap remain paired, they should fit into any of the airbrushes. If I bought an Infinity 2024, it's likely I could take the 0.4 assembly from my Silverline and swap it into the Infinity. I don't know why you'd ever want to do that, but it should be possible.
@@darkowl9 yeah I had multiple pre 2024 h&s and liked swapping between them. However as Dred said the infinity specific 0.25 and 0.44 won't work properly in the 2024 Evo and Ultra which take the 0.28 and 0.45 setup. If they were universal it would imagine they wouldn't do a 0.25 for the infinity.
@@scottyboy6269 From what I've heard darkowl is right, as long as you swap out both the aircap and nozzle it should be compatible with all of their other brushes
When it comes to Detail, can it compete with a MiconII or even surpass it? Also what I would like to know is, if you can spray realy fine Detail from further distances?
@@dredfxcustompaint i was really just wanting to go with a .45 vs the .4. in that case cost dependant would it be worth just going with the evolution .45 fineline instead? again I probably wont get much performance change. my plan is to get the new infinity with the .25 and then put a new .45 in my older infinity. thank you for the answer btw.

Iwata haven't changed their lineup in years(apart from the takumi) Doubtful there will be anything new any time soon. They have a great selection to choose from right now. And besides Iwata own H&S so this benifits them just as much.
I have to be honest if it’s sub £300 for the 2 in 1 it’s sat at the top of my list, probably kidding myself that I won’t get it because it’s exactly what I need in an airbrush. Easy to clean, features meant for miniature painting. I’m going through every box going tick, tick, tick. I love my iwatas is the only thing that is stopping me pulling the trigger (pun intended)
@@dredfxcustompaint thanks Rob, as you’re the only person I know of who has both, does it live up to the Takumi? I need something that will do detail but the infinity has the advantage of the .44 on the two in one which means I don’t need to go looking for a general use brush to go with it. Just clean it and drop in the detail nozzle and go again.

@@Hankercheif the bonus you get with this brush is the different cup sizes so colour changing is a breeze 👌

@@alternate3787 hi using the 0.25mm the brush with thin paints is incredible when it comes to detail the atomization is perfect I sat with it at 20psi up close
With no dramas as for the 0.44 I will do some tests with all I can say is if you have tryed a micron you will love this
@@dredfxcustompaint Oh I would pick this over a Micron at any time. It is super thrilling to know that there is a new innovative competitor in the market at next to half the price of the Micron, while Iwata will still be milking that old patent dry when the Infinity 3024 launches
@@alternate3787 I sat it along side the micron in the tests that I did and it matched it with ease

@@JaySolomonK it sits on the top shelf when it comes to what it can do I think for the price h&s have smashed it for what you get 👌
I am curious with the Infinity CRPLUS 2024 because it uses different size nozzle needle combo(Titanium system) if it works with the other parts or is it purely 0.24mm and 0.44mm Titanium system nozzles setup.
Why would they make the infinity 0.24 and 0.44 but the ultra and evolution 0.28 and 0.45
It's so odd they do slightly different nozzle and needle sizes.
@@Gornodd when it comes to detail you can hit it around 10mm off the paper
So what about the initial trigger response? Do I still have to order some PTFE seals? ;) Or is it now ass predictable as expected?
@@rabbitsinmyairlock trigger response is unbelievable

@@rmfberry261 yes but you won't see alot of benefits from that as the new infinity is completely different

@@steventhomas1504 I Don't think you will get an iwata to match it for the infinity price tag of £230
I have to be honest if it’s sub £300 for the 2 in 1 it’s sat at the top of my list, probably kidding myself that I won’t get it because it’s exactly what I need in an airbrush.
