Great video thank you. I don't know why the E36 gets all the hate, and the E46 gets all the love, the E36 M3 (both engines) was a brilliant car. I sadly could not afford the running costs so made do with an E36 328is.
its normaly the otherway around, e36 way more popular and e46 gets hate for no reason xD
in my opinion
So u did a couple simple mods and have the same HP as the m3,idk man u made the SMART choice in terms differences between the M3's and non-M3. Swap an intake and a tune and ur pretty close. Every other chassis the M3 is MUCH different,but not the E36. Rn I have M3 power with a 328 insurance payment
@@BMWiE-lz3nu Mine had the M50 manifold, a carbon simota intake kit, and was running about 230bhp.
It was a great car, I miss it a lot.
Sold it to a young lad who said he was going to keep it mint, and 6 months later I saw it advertised on ebay, battered, advertised as a drift toy ffs, I was actually gutted.
@@DjNikGnashers I'm sorry man,kids these days have NO IDEA how lucky they are to have 200+hp cars as STARTER CARS. Like a 328 with minor mods has the same hp of a mustang GT of the same era(1997). They have NO CLUE what it is to take an 89 escort and make it into a racecar with NO aftermarket support,therfore have NO respect for even 200hp. These are the same ones who pull original parts off a 25yr old car with 200k and call them "garbage" and think they know better.

Hoping to get into a 94 E36 M3.0 myself next year. Some questions and observations if I may
1. Mein deutsch äußerst schlecht ist. Ach, so, so can I please have an English translation on the mods please.
In particular , a performance chip and a Porsche 993 turbo fitted to your E36?
2. Is the gearbox a straight cut racing box? Sounds like it?
3. Is then close equal parts driver skill and car set up?
4. What is that shift set up?
5. I love the way the G forces are shown, in the stuff flopping around in the console and the water in the bottle
6. Ignore the arm chair experts . Nice racing lines where you could. Having said that, I've heard the M3 set up is good for heel and toe. Is that right?

Mir ist das ein Rätsel.
Hab den S50 B32 verbaut und denke darüber gar nicht erst nach, obwohl ich all eure Videos kenne! im Karusell sieht man Deine Korrektur ja dann auch!
Interessiert mich einfach!

Do the euro m3’s also sit the driver seat slightly to the left of the steering wheel? I’ve had a couple of US spec one and not being centered with the steering wheel was always a little annoying.

Fantastic driving but you really gotta revmatch when downshifting. Its really hard on the drivetrain and rear tires and also upsets the balance of the chassis, its super sketchy to do that in fast corners.
Exactly what I thought. The rear wheels chirping is very dangerous if the weight of the car is unbalanced.
@Andy Dhillon Balance on an E36 is EXCELLENT. Quite Inportant for the car to be set up, "Tight" & As predictable as possible. I still have an amazing E36 Set up to be a Killer of most "Supercars" in U.S. Yes, it can get Dangerous quick. & time for a bit of a re build. &, Wow, I've noticed the sun Killing the paint on my, & many other cars, WAY quicker than "Normal" UVC. Although NASA & All government agencies say... " No, UV-C " Is hitting earth. Something is going on, ( Not Normal ) It's now normal to see less than 2 year old cars that look like they had Battery Acid poured on them. I've Never seen this phenomenon before. Every day !!! Look for it.

ThMotorsport9093 great driving...a couple of drivers with e36 m3 3.0 have done 7.3x....you think they are more experienced drivers or their car is faster?
Adama Osieka's car for example is way lighter and more uncompromisingly built. That's why he's faster, plus less traffic in his videos. I think ThMotorsport9093's car can do a high 7:4x min BTG, if everything everything comes together.

Please down shift properly and rev match. Not only for better times but your car's transmission and differential will last longer and also your rear tires are locking up. This is dangerous!
Easier said then done
Richard Susessmeier It should be second nature before you even get on the track, as you can practice while daily driving. Not the same as driving fast but to get a feel for the difference in revs between the gears.
Better to overrev a bit then the opposite as you often see in the video. Results in less rear wheel lockups.

i hear a lot of tire lock in braking ? do you have abs or its modified ? i really want e36 like yours but with s54 motor swap :)
The tire squeal is due to him not downshifting correctly (heel-toeing).
When shifting down he just lets the clutch come and the wheels in the back lock or slow the car down essentially reducing the speed of the car with the clutch.
This is not only bad for the clutch, but also dangerous!
Because the way he is downshifting (if you can call it that) you will loose traction while downshifting midst corners especially when wet.
I dont recommend his technique since it will slow ur laptimes, make driving less smooth, put unnecessary strain on drivetrain, put you in danger of spinning...... seriously it hurts watching plus i love the sound of a nice downshift hahahahahahahahahahahahhaha
if the is a logical reason to his techique please tell me I would like to know

lol, Due to the pedal placement and my feet i can't properly heel toe in an E36 either... However always revmatch on the downshift! This driving is good but you are right, somewhere at minute 5 i think the wheels lock up a second because he goes from 5th to 3rd and doesnt rev match... but good stuff tho!
Absolutely agree with you. Every time he downshifts, it disturbs the balance of the car.
yea thats super sketchy especially when racing,the good thing though he is giving the car enough space before the turn to regain balance

The engine is in bad condition (low compression) or you are reving it in bad way. But the driving is really clean :)
