My Chinese girl friend... I met via language exchange, then she visited me. But at that time she already studied for a master degree in Germany.
Woooow 💗 I also LOVE living abroad.. I went to Spain for the first time.. it was absolutely amazing!! This year I've been in Germany.. and I.. fell in love.. I'm thinking of coming to Germany again this year, in Köln. I'm looking for a internship.. I HOPE I will find one asap. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Its crazy how one person can influence our desicions in life.. Anyways, Thanks for this video and wish you and your boyfriend all the best ♥️
YAY love! It's why I moved to Italy also 😉 Loved hearing your story- I agree with the importance of living abroad. I also am in love with your necklace 😍 Awesome video, Kia! 💕
Kia Lindroos Especially There are places like Taman Negara hanging bridge . There is a river there and one can make many activities there like kayaking. But in the large cities , one should hold his or her bags tightly and carefully as some people may snatch his or her bag. This may happen everywhere. I wish all the best to all people anyway.
Sounds so amazing! And yes. Pickpocketing or stealing can happen anywhere. I was in Kuala Lumpur once and I must say..there people were not so subtle..someone almost got my bag as they drove past me with a scooter but I held on tight ;)
Congrats on 1k Kia!!! :D I didn't do any study abroad programs but I really wish I did!! Perhaps I could get my masters abroad, it's something I've been thinking about :) Lots of love!!
Thats so true Wael! UK is expensive to study in. Germany, Austria, I believe Switzerland as well as the Scandinavian countries are, to my knowledge, generally cheap to study in. :)
Kia Lindroos I did research on the internet. Yes, generally it is free or very affordable to get education in many European countries especially for EU citizens. But I think private universities are more expensive in Europe than public universities.
haha ;) I think my "accent" changes depending where I am or the people I am surrounded with for a longer period of time. I have also noticed that my accent changed during the years over here ;) But thats cool :)
hmm...Tuo on vähän vaikeampi kysymys.
Regarding studying abroad, I have been thinking about doing this but I'm not familiar with german universities. Do you have advice for starting a search? I did my bachelor's degree in marketing and I would like to stay close to this field.
Hi Jeremy! Thats amazing! I am not sure where you are from and how the University system works where you come from but, I am going to go ahead and say that you probably can't go very wrong with choosing a university in Germany...I think you first have to decide if you would prefer a University of Applied Sciences which usually focuses more on practical experiences and includes mandatory internships etc or just a 'normal' university which I suppose is more academic. Then of course you need to choose whether or not you want to study in English or German and if in English.. that will narrow your research quite a bit anyway. If you can study in German..then I would probably even just start thinking in which city or area of Germany would you be interested in the most..So e.g. I knew I wanted to study marketing, in English and within 1 hour away from Nuremberg and thats how I found my Uni and I was very happy. I think German universities are generally ALL very good and I have never heard of a bad experience from anybody in any University over here..:) I hope that helps a bit? ;)
Kia Lindroos It does help narrow things down. By the way, I'm originally from New York but moved to Puerto Rico for my Bachelor's. I definitely see how a degree from an Applied Science University that includes internships can provide you with a more complete experience. As for language, I know some German but I'm not fluent so I'd feel more comfortable with English. Are there any differences worth considering between public and private universities in Germany?
Hi! I am going to study for my masters in Bamberg from this October. It's very close to Nürnberg and I am hoping you could give me some tips about the region. Also my german is really not fluent, how could i improve it a lot so that I could work in Germany?
Hi Mokshed! Wow! Thats amazing! Bamberg is truly one of the most beautiful cities in the Bavarian region! Small but so, SO beautiful! You are going to love it! First its good to note that German in the Bavarian region is very different to the Hoch Deutsch that you may have studied..but you will get used to it in no time ;) Bavarian region is really so great and there is so much to see: Nürnberg, Munich, Regensburg or one of the smaller towns in the frankonian area like Bayreuth and even go to Austria to Salzburg which is amazing. And all this is so cheap to travel to with the "Bayern Ticket" with train. -> google it to find more in info cause its a bit complicated to explain here ;) + you must absolutely visit the mountains either in the german region or Austrian region. They are gorgeous in the winter time. As for improving German..I know it sounds uncomfortable perhaps...but I really have no better advice than to surround yourself with German speaking people, preferably those who do not speak English so that you truly must force yourself to speak German. This works. I only ever studied A1 German but I passed a B2 exam 1 year later just because spoke it and wrote it until I "made it". Go to cafès, restaurants, bars and of of course "biergarten" and order everything in German and make yourself speak it everyday. That really is the only way I have ever learnt a language. :) + Bavaria has amazing companies (Siemens, Adidas, Puma, Bosch, BMW) where English is the main language so there are amazing opportunities to get jobs where you might not even need German..but obvisouly you have better chances if you know German. ;) Good luck Mokshed and if I can help in other way just lemme know!
Kia Lindroos Thanks so much for all the advice! I would surely try to contact you when i will need more help. Keep making good videos, you are doing a good job 😀😉
It is a tough exam..especially the essay part which I feel I got lucky with in some way..and in the case where I have to write good german. I try to keep the text pretty simple :D I am not good at writing German..especially when I want do it quickly like answering messages or e-mails ;)
Hi Raphael. I am not sure what you mean by this...could you please elaborate on what you mean: studying in general i.e the experience, exams, university culture etc..? :)
Great! Thank you Raphael! Hmm I would say for Finland 80% Subjective and 20% MCQ and Germany 50-50. But to be honest this varies. It depends a lot on who your professor is and what kind of exams they prefer to make. I found that when the classes were bigger they usually preferred MCQ and in the smaller classes they like more elaborative exams. :) Hope this helps :)

I have been to Malaysia for 10 days . IT has a wonderful nature and some rain forests.
Sounds amazing! I bet it has beautiful nature! :)

But in UK , studying in universities is not free with all my respect and love to all countries in the world.

is it crucial for you to speak german before living there?

how is the study in germany compared to finland is it subjective or mcq.......
Hi Raphael. I am not sure what you mean by this...could you please elaborate on what you mean: studying in general i.e the experience, exams, university culture etc..? :)
thank you for the reply kia....yes i mean in germany exams are subjective like do you write answers in brief or is it (MCQ) multiple choice questions
