I loved some of his songs as a kid in the 80s but I never knew he had such a struggle! Its so inspiring to me to hear his story with keeping myself sober! What a brave lad!
As an amateur musician battling substance abuse and being straight and being a guy who only saw the headlines and Boy Georges flamboyant outside, this interview brought me to so many tears. What a wonderful guy! Im no celebrity and with all the auditions I did with different bands Im now happy to be a nobody./Love and Blessings from a Swedish Jewish Rocker
@@drjerry5389 You are not a "Nobody" you are eternal awareness (Yes Im going spiritual) and a beautiful soul. Keep up the good fight in getting sober and pursue your happiness! You CAN DO IT! (I DID!)
Boy George is a beautiful & amazing person. How he loves his mom who was also a beautiful soul. She is now his guardian angel from heaven watching over him & all her family. Wishing all the best & thank you George for the gift you are to all your fans. Keep rocking!
I’m so glad Boy George is living a clean and healthy life. It shows on his face. Healthy complexion and narrow slim face. He’s fun and humourous. I’m glad he’s happy. He brought so much joy to the music world. An icon.
I had to put my bearded dragon to sleep a few months ago and met with a pet psychic. One of the first things she said was, he is saying Karma Chameleon, do you know why? After his shower I used to hold him and dance around my flat with him singing this to him. She said he might have looked annoyed but he wants you to know he secretly loved it.❤
You’ve got to just love George…. he is fab…, Just reading his book at the moment…..interesting to say the least…. Well done George so happy you came through everything ❤️
As a 59 year old great grandfather i have always had a soft spot for boy george. Wonderful voice, didnt understand his lifestyle or fashion but that was ok, hearing his songs on the radio was what i wanted from a singer and a band. For me, above all was his voice.
Boy George is one really special human being, so honest, grounded and generous. And his love for his mum and his family is so heartworming. His amazing talent continuously shines bright in so many art forms, as a songwriter, singer, musician, painter, photographer, designer. He is a true icon and inspiration to so many people. Thank you for everything, dear George! ❤❤❤🤗
When I was a teen I had a poster of Culter Club on my wall, next to Madonna and Cindy Lauper. We are talking the 80s. I thought Boy George was so much fun. Many years later, I used to play Culture Club CD in the car, and my daughter loved Karma Chameleon. She is in her late 20s now and still knows that song by heart. I am so glad Boy George is well and settled within himself.
We married in 1984 and spent our wedding night in a double-storey suite at The Sebel, in Sydney, which was a very popular hotel for stars to stay back then. Concierge told us that Boy George was in same suite (called the Hardy Amies Suite) immediately prior. Was a bit thrilled!! ❤
George said, "I'm sorry for the pain I put them through. It was very selfish of me." He didn't say, I didn't mean to put them through any pain, but I was an addict. THAT IS GOOD RECOVERY! I wish him continued sobriety, and with that comes happiness!
I just absolutely love Boy George, love his spirit, his attitude, what he believes in, my favourite series of I'm a celebrity was one with Boy George ❤️💛💚✨️
Aww, ❤, I was 14 in 1984 and a big fan of boy George and my dad hated him ,, he called him gay ,,, I didn't even know what gay was. Then he had an interview on tv and I made my dad watch it with me and my dad was blown away by his intelligence and Quick wit and well spokenus, that after that I'd come home from school and my dad would buy posters of him for me🤣,, he liked him after seeing who he really was 😂❤❤
Boy George is a wonderful man. I do hope he finds true love. I loved him in the 80's. We lived in a small Australian town & had Blue Light Disco's. His music & band oh how we danced the night away. We were teens & didn't know at that time he was gay, we loved him for him. Even as we grew up & knew, it still didn't matter. He did have a hard life but he overcame that to be who he is today.
I'm glad to hear he's clean and has been for nine years , always heard culture club on the radio back in the 80's , as far as I feel his group was as part of the 80's as Don Henley or anyone else from that era . Good luck George !
Wow what an amazing man Boy George is for speaking so honestly. His family can be proud of him and especially for being clean so many years. I loved him (i am an 80's teenager!)
I LOVE Boy George. I went through a lot of the same things he and I’m sure many others have gone through. Counseling changed my life. I’m glad he got help and is doing so well❤️ I finally got to see him in concert a few years ago and he was and is still amazing 🥰
Despite everything that's happened in his life and bad stuff he's done, I still like the guy. He's never hidden who he was and said this is me whether you like it or not. Was at an after show party with him once but never spoke to him
I have adored George since first saw him before Culture Club, he was a ‘ligger’ in London. Always beautiful, always charming, always hilarious. And so tall! My goodness he’s a statuesque man.
Never liked his look or his sexuality, but there is no doubt that his a truly amazing human and I have nothing but respect for him. I also love his music, I just did not admit it at the time to friends!
Boy George gets nothing but respect and praise from me. Fan since the beginning and still has my attention
I absolutely admire this man's intelligence, talent, self-aware personality. He's REAL.
What I love most about Boy George is his wicked sense of humour and he is a brilliant vocalist 😊
I loved some of his songs as a kid in the 80s but I never knew he had such a struggle! Its so inspiring to me to hear his story with keeping myself sober! What a brave lad!
His voice was amazing in the 80’s but now it’s a lot different
I am always so happy that Boy George pulled through all that he was dealing with. So many have not. I have always liked him.
He's an amazing human.

Grounded? You're having a giraffe ......
I’m sure the poor man he kidnapped and abused may have a different opinion?
