Seems like you didn’t install The Sky May Be properly, it breaks if you try to play it in anything that isn’t DOSBOX. In the intended version Zombiemen and Shotgunners are supposed to turn into Pinkies when killed, Imps are supposed to shoot BFG balls, and Plasma Rifles are supposed to shoot an excruciatingly short range, useless tiny projectile that can get you stuck in corners and kill you. Along with a few other tweaks that I can’t remember right now… You also misspelled Slige!
I had issues getting TSMB to work initially. It didn't come as a WAD but as an application; I had to go hunting to find a fix. In the end I used a fixed version of the WAD, it was the only way I could get it to work!

This. DEH file is what makes this game so infamous. Totally different game, and I hate when people review it just using the .WAD file. They totally miss the point.

From what I can remember, imps shoot BFG blasts, some enemies will spawn other enemies instead of weapons when they die, it makes one of the imps an unkillable "god" that can walk through walls, one of the guns (I think BFG) is turned into a "blessing gun" that increases enemy health, rockets cause splash damage on every frame so you get continuously repelled and damaged by them. There's a lot more but I'd have to look it up.
The gameplay of Gothic99 is inferior to Gothic 1.. not to mention the better half of Dwango or EXEC or any other DM wad.. they look pretty cool but the gameplay suuuux.

Mordeth seems to be missing resources, its supposed to have custom trees and swamp textures. Really sad there never was a second episode, because it seemed to be well on its way to surpassing Plutonia in quality as a partial conversion/expansion!

This isn't about being accepting of bad quality, it's about opposing any type of censorship. If something truly sucks - it will die in obscurity anyway, but when you introduce protocols to actually ban the stuff you find "bad", it just opens up the road to eventual political bans, like the "Thatcher's Techbase" ban that happened recently for "Doom 1 + 2" remaster.
Ive actually been curious about the so called 'columbine map' and it looks exactly like i imagined it would. In 2003, it would have been a macabre artifact but after so many school attacks, the map comes off as the same tier as a fedora wearing, cheap sword wielding edgy kid. Pretty sad how all it took was a couple of decades for that country to descend into that kind of depravity and the utter indifference it's met with. I hate that I was able to type this and the main feeling I had was a strong sense of misanthropy
You can't kill every enemy in Nuts conventionally. There's not enough ammo. ZeroMaster, however, proved you can beat it with monster infighting...as long as you spend the longest 6 hours ever doing it (with lag from all the revenant fireballs required, it actually takes 25 days)
the idea of calling the NUTS WADs 1 and 3 infamous is rather silly NUTS 2 on the other hand sure id count that 1 and 3 are rather iconic and a proof of concept imho
@ShinoSarna ok that eas said kinda flippantly, but all three of those did more than tnt. Charging money for glorified map packs that I've seen very few people have much positive things to say over got off easy and they should have got more shit. Lekker, Hedon, and the shrine series replaced all assets and used their own art style....much more of the vein of heretic and hexen which sadly get forgotten about.

It is interesting how a few of the wads are like tamer versions of later, much more infamous mods, like Imp encounter->HDoom, and UACLabs-> Columbine Doom 2.

It's a bit funny, in a strange way, the remarks on UAC labs, the death animations being a bit more gory, specially comparing how lame it is to what Brutal DOOM brought to the table. I mean, it's as violent and gory as it can be, and the creator isn't involved in anything out of the ordinary, as far as I can tell.

This was pointed out by a few people. Unfortunately the wad as was downloaded wouldn't work, I had to sue a dehacked version of the wad so I could capture footage. Ideally in future I can fix that.
I did some testing with source ports back when I was messing with this, and I was surprised to find that _Chocolate Doom_ couldn't run it as intended. I think _Crispy Doom_ could, though. I wish I could remember. Ah, well.

A little history. somewhere right around when Doom 2 released, a game called Doom 3 , mr smiley head safari came out, a mod for DOOM 1, that... pretty much stole a lot... Stole music, by picking midis from websites , it has star wars themes, The exorcist, a beverly hills cop. Stole levels, many of wich would later appear in the maximum doom collection , filled them with extra enemies with no rhyme or reason and called it a day. Stole Levels from DOOm,. yeah, 2 or 3 levels from OG doom are in here , filled with more enemies for no reason STOLE DOOM WAD. this was a commercial release, that came with a modified Doom wa instead of a custom wad or pk3 to work with the OG WAD. To the point this game release was forbidden for some time until another version With a proper custom wad to work with the original was made I played it as a kid. I just hjad Doom 1, 2 and 3 ... in 96. And interesting change in art direction for this third part where your BFG is a chicken that shoots Eggs. Due to the ridiculous ammount of enemies, This mod was extremely hard, and considering this was DOOM 1, most of the stages were mowing down hordes with the regular shotgun, because most levels had not a lot of missiles and not a lot of plasma. Its random nonsense all over the place, has Mortal Kombat, beavis and butthead and when you die you get " game over man" from Aliens. Barney the dinosaur is the pinkies. A blue Ranger throwing beer bottles, And all the weapons are remade in paint, some are now different weapons.
If this list were remade today, UAC Military Nightmare and Terry wads in general deserve a category

It seems that fixed wad is actually not "fixed" then, haha. The experience is very unique and worthwhile when played properly in DosBox!

As said at the start of the video, this list was from 2003/4ish so it doesn't include a lot of the newer Doom wads

I think Slige is more so meant to show off amateur mistakes as somewhat educational tool than it being straight up awful.
