Mega Man 8-bit Deathmatch is also a Doom mod that’s based off of a different game. The original story is that you played as Mega Man going through every Mega Man level from 1 through 6, but later changed where you play as a new robot and go through 7, 8, 9, 10, Wily Wars, and 5 GB (Game Boy) and at some point Mega Man 11. It’s really fun to play around and using fan made characters sprits makes it more fun
There's Ultimate Jazz Jackrabbit Doom, ZBlood (Blood remake on the Doom engine), Return of the Triad (remake of Rise of the Triad in Doom with new episodes), Sonic Robo Blast 2, Project Osiris (Alien Breed 3D in Doom) and I'm sure plenty of others I'm forgetting

if you haven't arleady, you should check out Sonic Robo Blast2, its a full Sonic total conversion. Probably a better 3d Sonic than most actual 3d Sonics and unlike Sonic World that you covered here, isn't just a level pack, you play as sonic, you attack by spin jumping and super spinning, all the enemies are from Sonic.
I enjoyed your Doom mod showcase video. 🙂 I played Hocus Pocus Doom, Castlevania: Simon's Destiny, Doom 2: The Golden Souls and Bloom. I enjoyed those mods. 😀 About the two plant enemies, the little one is used from Shadowcaster game, the other bigger is from Blood, but it's recolored. The sword and bow textures have been used up from Witchaven 1 and 2 games. Those are obscure fantasy FPS games, I played through those after I got them on Good Old Games.

Edit: I love the Halo series though, I personally like the flow of combat in those games a lot, very different style of FPS from Doom though. I got into the series when I was rather young so the series has a special place in my heart (except for Halo 5).
For anyone who hasn't played the castlevania one, it is honestly one of the best doom conversions and ever made. Like seriously check it out if you haven't played it
Neat to see more DOOM Mods that are based on other games. The only ones I've played are SRB2 and SRB2Kart. Those are total conversion mods however. That Zelda one looks sweet though!

One mod that I highly recommend you checking out is Metroid Doom. Although it's a little confusing due to how the map in Doom works, it's a great mod that transforms the game into the first Metroid with a little of the prime series. It also have new gameplay elements and enemies, nad also it was what made me interest on the Metroid series
Great that this is happening. The worlds and games from Gauntlet and Ghouls 'n Ghosts could be nice total conversion mods this way, or something wacky like Toejam & Earl.
Is it just me or should that Castlevania mode been the first Castlevania game moving to 3D from 2D? Instead of that game on the N64 😅 I know it's not real 3D but nevertheless. Castlevania, splatterhouse, Zelda and that Mario mode looked so awesome 😍 Thanks for the video, really fun to watch 😁👍
GZDoom actually is "real" 3D. It supports 3D models and room over room for example. Technically classic doom is also 3D, for a whole slew of reasons. However certain Z or height checks are omitted in the code for certain interactions pertaining to the blockmap.
Amazing Mods, specially i love the converson to F.P.S. of Zombie Ate My Neighbours, Splatterhouse & Castlevania.. It's a pitty didn't exist a full mod from Contra to play this great Nes n' Snes shooter in first person propietly... Will be interesting to be modded Smash T.V., Gouls n' Ghost,Turrican, Bionic Comando, Ninja Gaiden, Last Ninja, Haunting, Solstice, Bomberman, Lolo aventures in F.P.S....

For the sonic mod, it would be really cool if some of it was based on SatAm. The other Sonic cartoons might not have been well received, but they could still provide inspiration for environments and enemies.
I see other people mentioning more mod's that weren't shown on the list, so I guess I can throw some of mines as well. Doosk (based on Dusk), CSDoom Martian Offensive (cs global offensive), Titan (doom 2016) There are more, but those are the only ones that have playable levels. The other stuff i've did is mostly weapons rips.

The golden souls 2 is based on more than just Mario, it's got Zelda esq puzzle solving, golden spiders you have to collect, and even a bit of Castlevania sprinkled in.

(Best total conversion) 2/ blade of agony (Second best TC) 3/ QCDE (Best pvp multiplayer) 4/ total chaos (Best 3D visual TC) 5/ project brutality (Best brutaldoom addon. To be played with Eday map set) 6/D4T (Best doom 2016 recreation) 7/ alien eradication. (Faithfull alien TC) 8/ brutaldoom (I like what the mod author did with the classic doom 2 maps. Probably the most known doom mod.) 9/ lost civilization. (Not a mod but a custom map set. Gave me the best doom coop experience. Especially good with QCDE with hexen monster addon.) 10/ HXRTC (My go to vanilla ++ experience with that rpg element twist) Honorable mention : Dbp50: emerald city. (A great map set that scratch that realistic feel while still feeling somehow like a classic doom map set.
Curious thing about GBloom is that Doomguys weapons are weaker than they are in vanilla Doom, aside from Chaingun that wins out by insane firerate. Caleb's arsenal is significantly stronger and one direct hit from TNT is equal to about 2-3 direct hits from Doomguys rockets, his ssg does more damage AND reloads faster and so on.
One game i hope you cover MM8BDM (Megaman 8bit deathmatch) It adapts all to megaman, all weapons are megaman weps in 3d, it comes with a full pack of mrgaman maps, and it has multiple versions, with v6b updating a lot of things plus, there is a full campaing mode with 13 chapters
I wish for the super mario doom, that they changed the hud more to reflect these aren't technically bullet firing weapons. Like to make the HUD reflect this is Mario, not DoomGuy

Agree that Halo is overrated. People constantly say it's the zenith of enemy AI, but FEAR exists. I feel like people that love Halo just did no PC gaming in the 2000s.
Always thought Halo's singleplayer was so dull, linear, and monotonous compared to other more creative shooters at the time, with unique objective design like in Perfect Dark, TimeSplitters 2 and TS:FP. Plus TS had so much more varied side content.

there is now also Chakan for Hexen, where I remade Chakan from the sega genesis/megadrive the same way I remade Splatterhouse. Give it a look!

The "Pirahna Plants" from Doom 2 The Golden Souls are from Shadowcaster.
Doom 2 the golden ghouls piranha plants are based from a game called Shadow Caster, such a great and underrated classical game

Look up the Mr Friendly (unrelated to Half-Life) mod. Dialogue for hellspawn, fishing, and overall a relaxed time.
