  • Beans? Of course we have it in Ecuador, and they are really especial to us. We eat it specially on the weekends, with a nice bbq for example, its almost like a cheat meal
    Today i show you how to make MENESTRA, which is the name that we give to the stew made with beans, but look carefully because we take it very seriously in the preparation. And of course, i show you how to give an Ecuadorian flavor to your menestra

    NGREDIENTS
    -1 pound of canario beans (or you can use any type of bean, specially the pinto beans)
    -1 chopped red onion (you can use white, but as you know we love red ones)
    -6-8 stems of cilantro
    -
    1 teaspoon of garlic paste or 6 chopped garlic cloves
    -½ teaspoon of ground cumin
    -2-3 teaspoon of chopped cilantro
    -
    salt and pepper
