Trust me on Marion's home made Bao Buns. Have made the dough 3 times now and yet to fail (I would go as far to say it's fool proof). Much better than the frozen kind. I'd suggest having a glass of red with the kneading as, yeah it's a bit of work, but well worth the result. We had a heap left over with one lot after cooking them. Froze them and then 5 minutes in the steamer, still as good. Indeed every recipe we have tried from Marion has been insanely good. That Chilli Oil recipe is now a standard across my family. Thanks legend!
I made these yesterday and they really were epic, the spice level from the gochujang was perfect though for people who can’t handle spicy foods I’m sure you could cut down the gochujang and up the ketchup equally. Buns turned out amazing , this recipe is a keeper 🌟
I made your bao bun tonight for the first time and it was a success. It’s so delicious, my husband loved it. The bun is so soft, I will definitely make it again. Thank you for sharing your recipe.
Just completed the recipe and I have only one thing to say: Perfection! The results are from another level! I'm very happy that I managed to find the "gochujang" paste here in Greece! Highly recommended!! Thank you!
Marion, your fusion recipes have completely changed the way I see cooking. They are so consistently novel, delicious and gorgeous...I just ignore my other recipe sub channels (except French patisserie of course 😂). Your channel is on a whole other level.🙏😊🌺
Made these tonight. I have never cooked from a UA-cam recipe before. I admit I was a little unsure but Marion clearly knows what's she is doing Quote from my other half - 'best thing you ever made'. I was so impressed how they turned out. I need to work on improving the shape of the buns but that did not take away from how very tasty they were. Two hours have passed and I am still thinking about them. The cucumber works surprisingly well with sauce. A huge thanks for the recipe. Loving your work Marion.
Marion I love love your recipes. This bao bun recipe is just perfect, my family loves it every time I make them. Thanks to you. You are an adorable chef. Thank you so much for sharing your recipes with us. Love you God bless you ❤
I made your bao buns recipe with the filings of pork adobo with slices of cucumber and it was to die for, everyone loved it.thank you Marion! ❤️☺️😋👩🏻🍳
Hi Marion, I'm going to make your bao recipe. Unfortunately, I can't eat spices now but no worries coz I will let my friends have it. I'm sure they'll enjoy it. I'm thinking for another fillings too like pork asado/adobo filling as I can just add whole peppercorns & take them off before eating. Thank you for sharing. I love your recipes.
Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for this!! Thank you for taking something that I thought was so mysterious in making it rather simple. Going to try this ASAP!
Marion, you are my favourite Chef. I’ve cooked so many of your recipes and they are always a hit. I’m so addicted to your recipes and the way you talk. You my lady, are a gift that keeps on giving!
In Malaysia, we have something similar to this called "Burger Malaysia", except the filling is anchovy sambal served with cucumber slices. And the bao is let rise and fried.
it is really important that you make the dough 1cm high, if not it will be soggy plus, flatten them gently before you cook them i have made 4 times this dough already, all of them perfect, the fifth, was too thin and i forgot to flatten make sure you do these steps thanks Marion you are an expert
Tried your Bao recipe before. Turned out so fluffy, sooo good 😋 This recipe already got me mouthwatering. Must be super perfect with some crunchiness inside. Thank you for sharing 💕
Made it yesterday and they were delicious. I was skeptical about the dough not having salt in it but the buns were good, light and fluffy. Next time I will add a little bit of salt (just my preference). I substitued gochujang for sriracha as I didn’t have on hand. I bet with gochujang the sauce will be more delicious.Thank your for the recipe and the explanations.
It's after midnight in NZ atm & I'm not only in bed drooling, but seriously contemplating getting up & making this rn. Like super super tempted to just get up & go for it 🤤🤤🤤
Just made this buns for lunch, it was delicious. Switched the cucumber to lettuce, didn't have them. lettuce with fried chicken surprisingly went well in my opinion. This went into my recipe collection, means I'm definitely going to make again. Thanks for sharing
Never thought I would binge watch UA-cam cooking videos.... better than old Seinfeld and that's saying something. Haha thanks for the great recipes. Cheers
This is just too good, those little bao buns are everything!I'm from Shannxi province of China, this is actually pretty popular here, thank you for your video Marion!
Never been this happy to own a steam basket till now! Those look incredible ( and actually do-able!). I also really appreciate that you taste the food in the end, so many people make nice videos and the food looks delish but they never taste it so you can't see the joy of that, so sad haha.
I just tried that recipe and it is perfect. I need some practice shaping the baos but i am optimistic :) Thank you so much for introducing me to gochujang!!! The noodle soup with gochujang is a staple in our house :)
We were at a Tai restaurant last night and ordered the steamed pork rolls. I knew I'd find the recipe for those rolls. Yours look exactly like them!!! Thanks!!! Now to wow my wife and friends!
Im making these this week! and throwing some tofu ones in for fun... maybe adding a little but of chopped spring onion on top as well? so excited, thanks for another wonderful recipe!
Omg I'm gonna try this! Looks absolutely heavenly and I love Asian foods & love learning new items to make myself! I have never made bao buns myself but have done Korean fried chicken w homemade Korean bbq many times so I know I will love these flavors.
oh ! i just love your energy throughout the videos , love your recipes and just adore the excitement you show before opening the steamer to check the buns , love it
When it comes to boa’s for me at least I made my own sort of tweaks to make my own recipe. I used a blend of milk flour, all purpose flour and cornstarch which I count really made it more fluffy and also it kept it shape while steaming
@@josemorin4667 I don’t have my exact recipe cause I haven’t touched it in a while but I just played around with mine so to start I’d recommend a quarter of the amount of flour you put in. Ex. If you put 4 cups of flour use 1 cup of corn starch/milk flour or powder
I’ve made these bao buns and they’ve turned out PERFECTLY every time!! This channel is so satisfying!!! Thank you Marion’s Kitchen!!
What is the measurement please? I didn't see how much flour she used.
@@leylac5534 She always links the writtem recipe in the description box of the video, there all the measurements are listed too.
