I currently have two pairs of these pants and I love them and I just got them recently. I've been wearing them nonstop and the quality is very good for what I have experienced. It's 3 years later after this video was made and I think they have been consistently upgrading the pants if I can guess.
Love the cqr edc pants. I'm wearing mine right now. Love the clip pocket, and the cell/mag pocket, and the secondary button inside to make sure my fly stays secure.
5.11 pants were originally sold as Royal Robbins rock climbing pants. The “pull handle” is really a strap to clip carabiners and descenders and other rock climbing hardware. Royal Robbins was a famous rock climber. 5.11 refers to the Yosemite decimal system for rating the difficulty of rock climbing routes.
I've been wearing CQR pants for over a year now and like them a lot. They have 3 styles that I know of. The one you're wearing, 5.11 style, and ACU style. I have an OD green 5.11 style, and 2 ACU style.
(coyote and blue) They're also not expensive.
CQR is always changing its pants and offering multiple styles. While switching around to choose different colors, make sure you are just changing colors and not styles. The ones I have are replicas of 5.11 pants and Columbia pants, but with all of these brands being made in other countries, there isn't really any guilt felt in buying CQR for a price that the other pants could go for.
Mine just came in love them already will be wearing them on duty tomorrow!
They look great I prefer button fly because nothing gets caught on buttons and if you're zipper busts you're screwed but lose a button you can always grab one from someplace else and sew it on
promising.... I used to love a companies pants called Woolrich... they are gone.... damn it !
I have 2 pair of 5.11 and love them. about 2 years ago I came across LA Gear brand and @ $19 I decided to try a pair. Currently I own 6 pair and frankly for the $ they they can't be beat. In my opinion they are the same quality as the 5.11 at 1/3 the price. K32 would like to see you do a review

I wear Propper Military Style Pants 100 Percent cotton. Perfect for the Florida climate. I wear them on the weekends or if I take a day off.
I have not tried 511. I shop at the Army Surplus store.

Hey, thank you for this review I put a pair of black ones on my "save for later" list because I wanted to get feedback on them. Due to this review I will go ahead and order them. I was going to buy a pair of Fjallravens but man, hundred and fifty bucks is way too much for a pair of hiking pants.

Koda, This company needs to contact Gulch Gear and licenses the cammo , The rip-stop material and water proof is what, from what I seen, Gulch Gear is missing.
Looks like some good upgrades, hope they last a long time.

I mean that is a way to say it but how many ppl say 'YKK' or 'Y2K' ?
How do these pants feel? I have some Propper Lightweights and they are still pretty stiff after a few washings. I'm thinking it has to do with the waterproofing. They are also very hot. Also, probably because of the waterproof coating.

What is difference of the 104 model and the 105 model shown ?
The 105 has a cell phone pocket w/ velcro cover on left leg, above the cargo pocket; the 104 has a magazine slit pocket in the same place. Not sure but I also think the back pockets are a bit different, also. I rarely use the back pockets so it didn't matter much to me!

Wonderful enthusiasm. HOWEVER. Tremendous loss of info without closeup camera work when appropriate or just hold up that specific part and aim it at the camera, and hold still, please. Sometimes too fast abandoning best appropriate details, that is, too general when he thinks he is being specific, when he is not. The fix? = write out a script, practive 7 or 17 or 27 times to memorize or simply read it off off a piece of paper. Sorry, dude, but my experience reading and speaking through 6 years, two advanced degrees of college makes me want to think, "WELL, GUN NUTS DON'T KNOW HOW TO PREPARE & PRESENT important stuff. But actually, you came very close. RE-DO.
One at least one pair of 5 i have large tears are appearing in the back crotch area . The material is very thin.
