I did everything right, except I couldn't find the presets and plugins folder, I keep trying and trying until I gave up, I deleted ob's, I deleted all the extracted files, absolute waste of my bloody time.

I had the same issue. I extracted the ZIP, then copied the folders directly to my obs-studio folder, restarted OBS and that worked.
