Would be great to get a "1st hour of the game" showing an example of what you could be doing. Also a video showing some possible results of going down certain paths - this is what it might look like if you specialised in being a farmer vs a warrior vs a wizard.
The locate the Crafter button is a very welcome addition. Just gotta grind a bit to afford the basic items. But there are also helpful mods that give you starting equipment like a waterskin, flint, and knife, which is nice too.
One thing that'd be convenient is to have a trade post building and traders, who essentially have no inventory of their own and enable you to trade with all the families at once. Once you tasted bone wraith one family only goodness, it's hard to go back to a human cities with their 20+ families... Of course, traders would buy/sell at a markup, like 10%, and wouldn't be affected by intelligence ( their job is appraisal/countering your bartering... ). They'd still be affected by supply and demand, so you'd still be able to make a profit trading only at traders.
This was the biggest hurdle when I started out. You need tools to work on your skills and skills to make the tools, but you cannot just buy the tools and not every settlement is able to make the tools you need. It might be advicleable to expand the the vendor inventory and have them include basic tools like pickaxes, axes, knives, bows, etc. I was close to quitting the game before I found out how to do it. Glad I didn't though :)
O no that it would make it toooo simple, had someone say he found a shop that could make a skinning knife but it was on another land mass with water in between..ive been looking for a skinning knife and literally went thrub8 world's looking for a location that has one. It insane stuff like going to get it is a death trip if ya do or on another landmass
I know it maybe a bit of secret mechanics but does a pricing for buying and selling from same npc changes with time passes ? Do all npc in an area follow the general price for a item or same general pricing effecting globally?
This game is straight up trash, turned getting a basic but necessary tool such as something to carve up rabbits with into something that can be almost a impossibility. This is absurd

A next level thing would be that when you craft legendary stuff it gets some kind of history note. The idear is dwarf fortress inspiered

I can't be the only one that always stands there and stares creepily at the crafter until the item is done.

Buy meat for 1,35. Cook it. Sell it for 2,70 to the same trader.
