Really great. So glad I came across these!
Absolutely fantastic, but the female is literally the only decent voice actor of the bunch. I wish I had better news after watching this, but I don't. The dude who does the voice acting for MAYEHM needs a pop filter, BAD. I want to see more though. I just hope you will take this into consideration when directing the next round of FOIP dialogue for your next Machinima project.
Sincerely, someone who has also made Star Citizen Machinima 😉
Sarge sounds like a blaxsplotation actor dated and corny. I still like the video, just that part has a bit of cringe to it
Thanks for the feedback, we appreciate your input. Couple of things we would like to note: we originally wrote what is now Eps 1-3 as a 10min thing that was part comedy part action, and it snowballed. The writer wrote Sarge pretty closely to someone he knew: a peacetime-era Sergeant Major who spoke in third-person and was very gruff if not shouty. The voice actor, James McLeroy Jr (who is somewhere in the comments on this video), was given a LOT of leeway to do his lines. He tried several approaches and this was the one he took. James, a Navy veteran, also took a few Navy chiefs that he knew, and wrapped them into his performance.
Did not like the stereotypical voice for Sarge.
What didn't you like about it? (before we tell you about the actor who does his voice)
Yeah what’s so Stereotypical about Sarge’s Voice?
