LATEST STAR CITIZEN PATCH ALPHA 3.24 EVOCATI
BOREDGAMER GIVEAWAY RULES | / star_citizen_june_2024...
MY SYSTEM SPEC | / boredgamer_system_specs
Star Citizen is an Open Development Alpha Project by Cloud Imperium. It is 2 Games really though, the Persistent Universe that aims to build a First Person MMO Space Sim that encompasses gameplay in ship & on ground, economy and pretty much anything else you can think of. It's built in the StarEngine (a modified Lumberyard Engine). You'll see massive Space Ships that you can fly with friends, land on planets, explore or whatever your way to whatever goal you choose. It's available to try in it's current Alpha State now, you can give feedback & influence the direction of the game BUT it is VERY ALPHA.
Squadron 42 is the Single Player Campaign of Star Citizen & the Spiritual Successor of Wing Commander. The Idea is the game is immersive, cinematic, beautiful & seamless... NO LOADING SCREENS once in game.
Both Games are currently in the Alpha of their development.
I am suspecting to see something more mainstream for Star Citizen's PU by the end of 2024 with permanent progression, though it will be a while after that before the game is considered "feature complete" which would be closer to 2025 in my opinion.
The are no dates for Squadron 42's Release Yet BUT it is now Feature Complete.
I am an Independent Content Creator & Star Citizen Fan. I am not paid by Cloud Imperium HOWEVER I am an Evocati Member and as such I am under an NDA for Closed Early Patch Tests of Star Citizen', known as the Evocati Test Flight (ETF). They occasionally offer me ships for giveaways too, which I will take if they are truely NO STRINGS ATTACHED.
GameGlass, Shadow & NordVPN referrals give me a small kickback, however I am not paid by them for any specific videos or promotion. Unless Otherwise Stated.

LATEST STAR CITIZEN PATCH ALPHA 3.24 EVOCATI
This is why we NEED to have Pledge item recovery (which is already over a year late) working for 3.24.
When all the 1-off hangar decorations have been placed and then suddenly disappear, fall through the floor, don't recognize me as the owner, etc. We NEED a way to recover them so we can put them back in our personal hangars.
Since having your personal hangar means CIG can sell you more crap to put in it, you'd think this would be a bit more of a priority. 😆 Right now when I see the subscriber flair being crap you can lose instantly for no good reason, it makes me not want to give them $10 or $20.
@@Dracounguis And this isn't a new issue either. They promised us a new method for pledge item recovery BEFORE 3.18.0 went live. They re-promised it would come "soon" at the beginning of 2024.
They've been kicking the can ever since.
The lost items booth is supposed to be for this such thing.
@@Trampus10-4 the phrase "supposed to be" pretty much applies to everything in this game. 😆
item recovery has been been pushed to 4.0 because apparently they needed something that doesnt exist yet for it to work
I love how the thought process is use a vehicle to move a 1scu container, but a hand held tractor beam to move a 32scu one :D
The mule was a sad, sad money grab. Easy fast dev work, knowing that people would buy them as LTI token and upgrade to a much more expensive ship. Their greed is hurting the game exponentially now.
CIG’s lack of cohesion of ideas. Or, more likely, marketing dept. stranglehold over releases. Either way, supremely frustrating.
@@SpaceDad42 Not being able to fund the game would be worse I suppose.
@@MrMutterbugover 700 million dollars invested and the game doesn’t work still.
@@SpaceDad42 To be fair I liked the idea of the Mule, though I was hoping it would be more useful for the package delivery missions. But it just begs the question why isn't there a vehicle to help load your ship with larger containers? On the one hand loading your whole ship on foot with the tractor beams just seems the easiest and fastest way but on the other hand this seem rather silly.
I would like the personalized hanger to become a game loop in which you recover a wreck and restore it in the hanger over time with materials recovered from the verse. They could allow for special variants or even alien ships to be unlocked in this manner.
That’s *supposed* to be possible in the future
also more detailed components would be nice, like kitting out a medium weight ship should itself be a gameplay loop that someone could then get paid for
Remember, trollies are for the eventual implementation of tractor weapons requiring power cells. To cut down on costs, the slower trolly may see heavy use?
Also can move many boxes in one bunch instead of one at a time.
For everyone this is the cargo patch, for me it's the '' begining of actual salvage '' patch! I always seen salvage as much more than scraping wrecks. It was always more about fiding a ship, stripping it of it's components and guns, it's loot, and then either towing it back to refurbish or scrape it. Even if we are not quite there, this patch will allow us to actually take things like components and guns, store them at our Persistant hangar and even recall them to sell them to players at a later date. I cant wait for the power management systems to come fully in with O2 and fuel and such to siphon and resell XD
Scrap jawas rejoicing , utini!!
Love the idea of salvage+engineering to recover ships. Pay a hefty sum to get salvage rights, tow it to Lagrange point, use RMC to rebuild the broken exterior, remove and replace parts pulled from other ships or bought new and then put it all together and make it run again to use or sell. #shadetreeinspace
@@roshamjoe It ain't much, but it's honest work.
Wr should be able to tow/Fly a stolen/abandoned ship into our own hanger and scrape it in a safe space 😊
@@roshamjoe CIG has stated before that it would be something we could do. I belive they even talked of certain ship that you could only aquire through this method, even abandonned military capital size ships. I hope they stick to the idea XD
Really looking forward to be able to spawn ground vehicles in the hangar instead of flying to a planet every time.
CIG needs to look at cargo ships and try to tweak them so they can carry the now standardized containers. The Freelancer's little airlock cargo area between two human sized doors comes to mind, for example.
Reclaimer is a big one. It can hold a lot, but getting a lot in or out is an exercise in masochism.
@@KiithnarasAshaa oh yes those tiny doors and the elevator... Need some big cargo doors on the side. And the Carrack... It takes magic or a Star Trek transporter to get cargo into its bays!
That is a good example 👍🏽 I didn't think so
Because you are not looking at how the pods are supposed to open... there's been quite a bit of talk of those pods being essentially modular systems so that you could swap out a cargo module for say a refining module or something like that.
The problem with this is just like with them actually putting the rework for the vanduul ships in, there has been no talk of this or giving carrack it's Bridge armor or the Deployable sensor quills on its back that we saw like four and a half years ago in the demo
@Dracounguis
I’m excited for 3.24 too!
Looking forward to this hitting live!
The mining bags removal to refine will be a little annoying but it will make buying and installing mole bags much much easier
Will bags become consumables? Will we have to buy new bags each time we go out?
Love the idea of mining, dropping off and loading new bags, then heading out again with out having to run to the refinery.
@@boskii721 I imagine so. Which will add to the "operation" of mining. This will speed up mining operations.
It does mean that miners can stay out mining and have others ferry the ore to storage or refineries.
Do you never came back home with a full load of quantanium that is ticking to explode??? I really hope they think something about the quantanium instability and this new hangar system.
Exciting news for sure. A long time coming and much appreciated.
Thanks for the update. Looking forward to seeing it live.
You’d think with the cargo being physicalised that we’d finally get suit lockers working
This is a huge update. Can't wait for it to go live!
Thanks for the video man, amazing content and well explained!!!
I'm so thrilled for this new patch when it comes out Live.
Was about time to have ours hangars with personal modifications.
It's good to temper expectations now. It's probably going to be more awkward and tedious than what most people are used to.
it will be and that will put off even more people, it continues the path of the game being a curiosity to try then abandon as people have lives and can't imagine spending all night on a rare session loading and organizing virtual boxes to then take off the next night and spontaneously explode or be pirated in a few minutes losing all that work. The more I see them add in stuff that could be neat, the more I look forward to the inevitable collapse and as much as I hate saying it....EA or Activision buy them out for cheap and give it to a studio to make it an actual game thats not a niche within a niche...OR it is just shut off and with AI plus other engines out there and the meshing tech growing and be a norm, somebody comes in and remakes the game as playable in half the time and just as good with far better performance.
@@philipquaglinoOh stuff it chappie...the whole "people have lives" argument is so dumb, if you want instant gratification then go play Fortnite. SC is being developed as a life sim MMO in a scifi galaxy, NOT "Rust in Space"
@@philipquaglinomost people who been around long enough knew this day would come and I'm sure the game will evolve past a point of just being randomly pirated. If you don't enjoy it I see how , but I have been waiting for this iteration of moving boxes to a fro for a long time so I'm am extremely happy for this change
@@philipquaglinoyou’re being pretty dramatic dude, EA or Activision buying them out? Collapse? These things might be worth considering if SQ42 is trash and flops, but until then it’s unfounded.
I’m absolutely 100% fine with the tedium of this loop as long as I don’t randomly blow up when I try to land in my hangar
The Area 18 International Brotherhood of Stevedores Local 357 is one step closer to reality.
I'll put in my application asap for the New Babbage branch
The personal hanger thing is going to be interesting, especially once they get servers working properly
The servers have literally never worked properly. Not once. I've been playing for years, backer from 2012...servers have never worked properly.
@@slandshark yes and?
Thx BG! Appreciate your testing and information. Looking forward to seeing this one get to the PU.
Thanks for your feedback. Just more tools or vehicles to manage cargo. And update update on caterpillar could help.
There is going to be one issue with persistent hangers, how many people will actually really be using them more then a time or 2? How many people won't just load up all their gear onto one ship and head off to their space station of choice, be it a refinery, LEO, or Grim Hex, and set up shop there? CIG should enable us to set our starting locations at at least the 7 stations with Cargo Decks, as well as GH, so we can actually make use of these persistent hangers so we can more actively test them, with the location dependent size limitation of available hangers (you can't get the super large hanger at a LEO station so you will be given the smallest necessary to still fit the next largest ship in your web hanger)
Since they are all on planets and my home is a space station with docking arms... Hardly ever
If bed logging will be permitted, I'll be using mine all the time.
Being able to fill a C2 with cargo instantly and go sell instantly caused a huge imbalance compared to other gameplay loops so I'm really looking forward to this patch.
I do however hope they balance it better. I'm hoping the autoloader will be based on time x people. So you can have one person load it cheaply and it'll take 5hrs, or 5 people at higher cost doing it in only an hour.
I'm super excited for when this goes live. My own hanger set up the way I want. Thanks for the videos
Cant wait for hailing missions and getting my own hangar.
I hope they find the balance between immersive and cumbersome.
Yeah as someone who does logistics this does not look fun lol
With all the cargo we all lost so far i wonder why i should risk transporting my items like this. Now we have the option not just to loose our freight due to a disconnect or crash but even more important stuff... Before there is a system in place that works to prevent us from loosing everything due to a technical issue - no way i will use this transport feature. The personal hangars are great - now we just need a working rule set for players in a Party / Org. and the ability to expand those rules to ships so friends can take full control of others ships for selling/buying goods, refine mined ores etc. ... would be great - likely will never come since this would plummet ship sales.
Agreed, using this system goes hand in hand with server stability. Until thats nailed down, all cargo moving will be a crap shoot. And yeah, there needs to be a lot more in-game support for party/org/friends for just about every aspect.
You haven't lost your cargo due to crashes or disconnections for a few patches now. You haven't played in a while, have you?
@@nickeling2776 I lost a Connie full of drugs to a server crash last week.
@@nickeling2776 A couple of days befor the Xeno- event, i lost half a Carrack worth of refined material above Loreville due to a gamecrash. These things still can happen sadly - even with the current build !
This is what I thought as well.. Way too many ways to loose assets and die for the income able to realize quickly.. Btw, thx Bored for the 3.24 overview!
Thanks for the update! Looking forward to the next one.
Thank you so much for this, looking forward to the cargo aspect (even if I apparently have almost nothing that can move cargo) 😅
Getting those 2 separate freight elevators is a must for me... I wonder which ships are getting assigned which hangar sizes. The biggest thing I own is a Corsair.
I know I’m about to get a fat ass hangar, my largest ship is a reclaimer lol
@@Mr.Universecarrack gang here, hope my hangar is immense
Polaris Gang 🥲 but Doesnt exist yet
@@JOMASTER133 me too lol, the carrack is my loaner
@@User-gx3sr Yeah they gave me two one for Polaris and one for Perseus 🙃
Look at 9:50! It's all the IRL money armors _no one wears_ because they'll lose them and have no way to currently get back! 😝
Looking forward to seeing all these features in the live build!
I really like the elevator bringing your ship to you.
it'll be cool the first couple times, but looks like it moves really slow so it'll just take even longer to get into a ship and go.
@@Jmandude5 yea I guess, I kind of like having more to do myself.
Great to see these features finally taking shape
The only bit im not looking for is the loss of the local/ship inventory.
Thanks Bored'. Being able to talk about Evocati now is great!
Should be some interesting times ahead. I love the new seats and the fact you can add them to ships!
Too bad an awesome patch on the test server (where there's four users) usually means it's a giant dumpster fire when it hits Live. 🙄
Cargo loading time should be measured in MINUTES not HOURS.
Obviously. It's an evo patch, nothing you hear about is meant for live. It was probably a data entry error.
Cargo loading should be based by size of the ship first. The time should be based on loading a ship with the largest sized containers that ship can hold as the shortest amount of time for that ship. Then from there, increase the time to load for depending on the size of container, with 1 scu containers taking the longest to load.
Large cargo should take hours if you trying to load a large ship with a bunch of cargo solo, but not if you have a crew to make things go quicker. Pretty sure they say that on their live shows
@@jumitsfuTTVwrong it’s a game , go touch grass kid
Really interested to see more details as the features come out
The best use for hover trollies that I can see will be for loading/offloading a handful of odds and ends from ships with less accessible cargo grids. For instance, getting 12 various guns or components from a C2, as a single player, it will be much faster to take the trolley into the C2, snap the components to the trolley, and bring the trolley back to the freight elevator.
Yeah can't wait to spend 1 hour for 20k of profit
😂😅
All of the feedback I'm seeing on reddit about the substantially increased tedium are exactly the sort of thing that worried me about this patch.
Awesome video, looking forward to this patch a lot!
So glad to hear the Evocati news! Looking forward to decorating my hangar finally!
Honestly the only thing CIG cares about right now is getting ready for the Expo ship sales. 😝
Thanks for the update. Looking forward to this patch.
I'm so excited. Thank you for your testing and sharing your experiences!
Looking forward to play the patch. Thank you for the video.
This is all sounding great. I'm already looking forward to testing it in the PTU.
Looking forward to this patch so much. I honestly just can't wait. Keep up the great work with all the most up to date news.
Thanks for all the updates. Always look forward to your vids going live… Bring on 3.24! 🥳
As a slow player, I am really looking forward to this patch!🎉
Let's goooo! Thank you for covering this amazing journey that is following the entire development of Star Citizen!
Great video, can't wait to see these features in live!
Have they said anything about trade profits, or does it risk reducing your profit by 50% with adding 20mins of loading/unloading cargo onto your normally 20min cargo run?
It is about time.they are bringing these updates. Thank you for covering these.😊
I am curious how all these limited number of consoles to do important things will work as server caps open up more.
I just worry about all the needless time sinks that seem to be popping in. Physicalized everything is cool and all. But the longer it takes to get to the really fun bits the less people will want to partake.
I know there are a lot of whales involved but I feel like their server needs are going to need a healthy casual user base.
the whales will swim away when they see no one else playing the game because it takes 30 fuckin minutes to get from your hotel room to your hanger and into space. lmao
Sooo excited for this to go live! I want to arrange my hangar so badly haha
Love how everything is coming together. Can't wait for it to hit Live.
Can not wait till I get to try this patch. Thanks for the great updates.
youre the second CC ive watched whose stoked on patch. that makes me excited! thank you!
Thanks for the update. Looking forward to hangars
You and me both!
Looking good! So glad to hear this wasn't as unstable as when they implemented the PES system back in 3.18!
Absolutely can't wait for the cargo patch to go live. Super excited to load up my own ships
The thing I haven't heard talked about yet is what the plans are for the original hanger types and how that will play into the personal hangers in the future. I'm pretty sure that it is just the generic hanger right now, but before when people pledged they would get access to the Self-Land, Aeroview, Revel & York, or VFG Industrial.
Looking forward to be able to test this on PTU.
The personal hangers are a very exciting addition to the Verse. I can imagine planning missions out with all pilots meeting up, like GTA.
Getting all this news on the Evocati has me so hyped for this patch. I wasn't expect them to get vehicles and gear attaching to cargo panels this fast.
Thanks providing insight on how things are going with 3.24
I am sooo looking forward to this going live !
How can they add another inventory system where you cant search for items.
Very excited for the coming updates. It will be nice to feel like we have our own little slice of the verse with our own hangars.
Amazing content like allways. Your no BS approach is a great addition to our community.
I was glad to hear that the patch was more stable than expected, especially after the mountain of issues that delayed the update. It sounded to me like it was late Evo stability instead of early Evo stability, which is a good sign.
Really looking forward to trying out those new cargo missions :) and 4 is edging ever closer
Great video, cant wait for this patch to go to live tbh!
Can't wait to play around with a hangar and making it my own! Interesting that you can choose the size of the SCU boxes when buying cargo, I wonder if ordering 696SCU of cargo in 1SCU boxes will deter pirates or at least delay their piracy
Super excited and hoping the update hits while I'm on vacation
Can’t wait for this patch to go Live, between this and 4.0 it will finally give me more reasons to play the game more.
Can't wait to try it out!
When loading cargo into the your person hangar are you able to store lots of 1scu boxes, then recall a larger box for loading a hauler easier?
I've been waiting for this cargo overhaul for ages. can't wait to get back into the game when these get in.
Being able to spawn my cargo in another players hanger is a great way to trade or share items. Look forward to trying this.
I can't wait for this update! This is one of the updates I've been looking forward to for so long!
I am so excited about the update. Been waiting for this one.
PTU for this cant arrive fast enough. just being able to store my salvage and build it (and other cargo) up at my home is going to be great.
Really looking forward to this patch. Hoping to find things all over the verse to fill my hanger with!
I am excited and curious how the personal hangers are going to work!
definitely looking forward to first wave of ptu testing on this.
Can't wait to see how this evolves.
Did they mention if you will be able to change the hanger location at a later time? I am also curious if say for refinery jobs where before you had to refine/sell everything on the ship if you can unload it and stock up before deciding to sell/refine. Or choose to sell some but refine others.
Glad to hear that patch was not a complete mess in EVO. I look forward to playing this in Live
Excited to chill in my own personalized hangar again
Love the videos, commentary, and thoughts. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the update!
It seems like this update will be pretty stable which is a relief! Fingers crossed it all goes well
Having our own space/place is going to be so good cannot wait.
Really looking forward to these features - hoping progress to live moves smoothly
looks great! Can't wait to play this! Although I hope they''re rethinkink/optimizing market prices so it still feels "worth it".
I am excited now that there is an auto option available for these larger ships. I want armor and weapon lockers to show off equipment I’ve looted through the verse
