Just the info I've been looking for. Tried a jigsaw but that didn't work very well. Need to drill some big holes in the bottom for drainage. Going to use it to make compost. Will try hole saws that fit my drill.
Im getting someone to do mine like this, sent your video :) iim using it for water storage ( prep item) and covering with lid. It will be easier to get water out of.
Ya using a skill saw makes it very easy. But it actually took me a long time since the battery I have for the saw is pretty bad. So the saw kept dying while I was cutting it.
@@vonponics awesomen. Guess what I just did same project but, using handsaw. 👌🧔 will upload the video later today.. pls find the video and comments ya.. Its your fault and make me do the same on the blue gallon.. LoL.. cheers 👍🧔🏻😅💪
Best to buy a 55 gallon drum with a removable lid if that is what you want. Doing it this way will make a lid but it just sits on top. You would need the water to leave the tank before it overflows over the top.
It's way better to cut it from the top like open a cane rather than cut from the side. The barrel will become squashy in the long term without its core ring structure removed. I use a jigsaw to cut from the top. Then putting cringe on it. Much better.
yes that is true. It definitely makes the tank stronger doing it the way you mentioned. I did it this way because I wanted to use the top as a lid. But if I use tanks like this again I might just do what you recommended.
You just saved my ass dude!! Thank you I would love to get you a “saw” so you do t have to stop.
No problem glad I could help
Thanks bro. Those must be your favorites shorts
Ha lol 😆

Thanks, this was a big help!
Tks atas tutorialnya, sangat bermanfaat.
Excellent job bro! You've done my thoughts. Now I'm sure it'll work. Congrats! TKS
Nice video. I'm glad you preserved the lid. Many do not.
Ya I like to use as much of it as possible. That way nothing really goes to waste. And for the filter it is nice to have the lid on top.
thanks
Sawzall works good too. Either way be careful.
Good idea 👍🏼
Thanks for the info
Keep the content coming bro!!!
You make it look so easy. I used a handsaw
That must have taken a little longer.
Power tools make things easier.
I just had to wait for the batteries to charge.
Thank you
Gonna give it a try...thanks
I done this with a Ryobi 18v. Did fine. Maybe your saw is not sharp. Maybe a weak battery.
Most likely it was the battery.
Thank you for sharing!
No problem
Good job

@@Janggut40 nice I will check that out
@@vonponics thanks to you
Very good!
I don't have that tool, do you think a wood cutter machine could serve the same?
sorry not to sure of the machine you are referring to. Is there another name for it or do you have a link for it?
👍🏻
what angle should I have my circular saw at, when cutting this exact barrel?
I didn't have it at any angle. I just keep the blade in its normal straight position.
Thanks

I want to know how to get in touch with you, I will like to buy 3 piece of 55gallon drum or barrell. I want it open and cover it.
Sorry I just made this video to help others see an easy way in how to cut the top off. I don't really sell them. thanks though

Yeah well how the hell do you remove the lid so it says intact and you can put it back on.... I don't want to cut the damn thing off....
You not cutting straight😅
