    Great idea on the rubber bands. You are missing one of the big features of the club. You're supposed to turn your steering wheel and mind look kind of jam the club against the wheel so you can't turn it. That basically makes it lock your ignition.

      yeah, its important too so if they tow the car from the back. I cut the wheel over to the side now. Thanks

    Best to install up to your left A pillar where it has a spot to rest and hook into. Open space does nothing to really help

    I saw a video that suggested putting the lock on the other side to make it harder to drill out etc. that’s what I’ve been doing

      It's just more of a visual deterrent. By the time they get seated I am already fully aware my door has been opened.

    Took your advise and bought one a few months ago, when you first talked about it. Still haven't really used though, since my car is not a daily. Maybe I will use it for the next car show...LOL

    Somehow I'm not doing this right because I can pull it right off my Sonata wheel without unlocking it......its like it doesn't lock in tight enough. Maybe it's because my steering column is still missing....my car was stolen but I still haven't got it fixed yet.

    A regular club with the keyhole facing towards the dash would be better than this. Besides cutting the steering wheel, the other thing thieves do is drill the keyway. Impossible to do when it's facing towards the dash.

    I am planning on daily driving mine and we all know it is right now 😢

    • @Sky1
      @Sky1  Рік тому

      You mean, would I ONLY have the Club? NO! Course not! But that along with several other items will definitely help. If they see the Club they will assume you have other devices as well and may re-think their strategy and grab someone else's car instead. The club can easily be defeated if they know AHEAD OF TIME that they need to remove it, but what else you got is the question.
      My point is to not make it easy, park in a safe place, get all security updates and anti-theft devices installed etc.
      Multiple layers of security is what it will take. A Super Stock is a nice car, enjoy it and insure it well, but be smart about where you take it and leave it.

    Anybody have any ideas as to how to flip this twin hooks version -so that the lock is facing toward the dash? Maybe just use two of the hooks?

    • @Sky1
      @Sky1  Рік тому +1

      You should already be notified the second they either opened your car door or broke the window.
      The wheel lock just give you more time to grab what you need to stop the theft.

      At worse, you can drill the keyhole and it’ll unlock it. Takes like 30-seconds; but don’t worry cause most thieves won’t bother with that. Sure, that trashes it; but I wouldn’t know what else to do if the key stops working and don’t know if their warranty would cover that. The Club LX is suppose to have a better quality lock according to my local locksmith, maybe go for that one instead.

      @@jefferyhaws7565 Nothing is 100% anyone who tells you that is not honest. Security is a like an onion, you need to have multiple layers and the objective is to make things more difficult and time consuming for the perpetrator.

    • @arbitrator6744
      @arbitrator6744 Рік тому +7

      Funny how someone is always eager to inject a counterpoint for deterrent measures. One, you need experience “drilling out” the lock. Two, carrying a drill and bit is an additional set of tools that you have to tote. Thieves want quick snatches, not additional challenges that can be unpredictable while executing, and drawing unnecessary attention. Who knows, there are probably more deterrent systems that the owner has besides the Club … not worth it.

    • @Sky1
      @Sky1  Рік тому +5

      After they drill it they will find out they cant push it or start it hopefully the cops show up, give em a slap on the wrist so they can steal someone elses car the next day or so 😐

    • @chuyocaca4153
      @chuyocaca4153 Місяць тому

      yes, but it takes longer breaking the window opening the door and drilling is not a Minute!
