MAJOR FLAWS
- the gauge metal they used on the swingarms is WAY to thin. mine contorted out of shape in the rear and cracked on the front.
- the design of the placement of the suspension is a poor design mechanically. it places most of the stress of riding on the joint weld above the shock. that is where mine cracked.
- also the shocks on mine stripped out the threads on the rod and lost a spring.
- the folding mechanism didn't hold up. some piece over plastic inside slowly over time wore out and worked its way out causing my scooter not to be able to fold anymore.
- the folding handlebars have a tiny amount of play in them no matter how much I adjust the screw.
- the rear fender is attached to the swingarm, so it moves with the wheel. and just like the swing arms, the gauge of the fender support is to thin so when your foot inevitably hits the fender you bend the supports...causing tire scrubbing.
ok with all that said, YES i did go hard with it... but why wouldn't you? you expect it to not fall apart. I recently purchased the laotie es18 after doing lots of research and comparing. we'll see how tht goes. it will be here in a month. the mechanical design is super important. unfortunately i did not record any of the last scooter before it died because i am a youtubie, not a youtuber, but am going to be making the transition soon. pshhh send me a scooter, ill give it the business and tell ya what i really think lol.
Thank you!
What did you think of your upgrade? I am thinking about looking for a solid frame off road electric, tired of feeling like everyone of them sacrifices long term sturdyness vs the ability to fold. My fluid free ride horizon has same handlebar style where you can fold them in, and I am constantly trying to tighten them again and again
@@ryanzarzaur there is a way to sort that handlebar tightening just cut out a small washer from plastic shampoo bottle and pierce a hole, to put the screw in. Mine worked like that. By the way there is a video online about it.
@@laxlax9960 thank you for the info brother, I am going to have to look into a fix! I’ve got 450 miles on my horizon and that is my biggest pet peeve. If I rid down the sidewalk the vibrations from the bumps slowly loosen my handle bars
Hey man, so how's that "Lao Ti" been checking them out also but I fear it will take like 6 months to make it to Boston?
I just got my 5600w scooter..I haven't even try 3rd gear yet..it feels like the scooter go without me when pulling the throttle. 😬
Yeah I get that
Hi CK, what 5600w scooter do you have ? is it the Outstorm Maxx ? How much and what website did you buy it ?
@@rainbowcity8747 Laotie ES18p from Banggood $1130 with bges18pcn coupon tax free and free shipping.
Which best best range?
5600w the most I've seen is 3000w
Yeah I agree, there's no way anyone could take off with your 100 lb scooter because you took the keys out.
I’ve had mine a few weeks and I’m anticipating something to break but so far what an exhilarating rush when you hit the throttle on dual motors.
True that!
@@ElectricRevolution Hello, boss! I can provide you with better supply of goods.
Do you still have it? Wondering if I should buy? Does it still work?
Those angled handlebars are exactly why the scooter handles well at speed, and it also means the stem is under a lot less pressure when you are leaning into it while braking. Your handlebar is definitely set too high, and you are riding more upright than you should while offroading. That is why you felt the ergonomics were not right and the deck was too short. It looks like you have the handlebar set for someone 8" taller than you.
Devin is right you wanna be lower off road for stability
Where should my handlebars be? I find just a bit above hip heights is almost perfect for me
@@enixine1266 I think right at the top of the hip bone is the best spot, but within 3" of that is still good. 5" away or more from top of hip bone and you should assess what you can do to get it closer.
How can you NOT be biased when you recieved a free scooter from them to make content and ride? You make money off the video so you are going to be bias
I spent an entire 300 hours researching specs and build quality and assure you this is one of the top 5 best buys you can get for this class of electric scooter. I own quite a few. He's being biased, but he's not wrong.
Because some people actually have integrity. Says a lot about you
Ive put over 1500 miles on my maxx pro and have only had to spend a little over 40 dollars on fixes.
*sigh* Another off-road toy to buy!!
I owned mine since 2019 and still running like a champ! I ride it in the rain, mud, snow, streets, and everything! Love my outstorm! Customer service are the best! Still servicing me even tho they only got one year warranty! 🔥 🔥🔥
Now that, that is what I needed to hear my friend..
I'm a buy 2 of them just to be exploring the range..
Yeah I actually purchased the pro model recently for my son’s birthday. He lives in Arizona so he’s definitely gonna enjoy it :)
Price?
Who do you contact for parts and service ?
I am looking to buy this but im working about it breaking down and no way to fix
the way they did the leds kinda sux tho, looks dum,but if they did it abit more sleek like underneath
Could that go up in flames if I was sleeping in same ere a is this truck freindly
I have the same sc00ter. I did m0d it al0t. Including harley-davids0ns seat, m0t0cr0ss handlebars, superm0t0 tyres. Fastest I have g0tten is aru0und 75km/h 0r 47mp/h
Not your kid's razor scooter! Looks like fun! I wish they would sacrifice top end speed for more low end torque on stuff like this. No one needs to ride a scooter at 56MPH but they could climb more stuff with more low end ;-D
True that about the low end brah
And some higher quality shocks, that's what was really missing.
(4.10) Had to lock arf the ting moment I heard tha😳
HUNTER QUAD IS THE BEST ELECTRIC SCOOTER

DO NOT buy this scooter if you can't find replacement parts!! Something will go wrong eventually
@ANGRY BATMAN it's a FLJ T113 loads of parts for it
Ay umm if can send me one, ur free to go in heaven
Yes
Thats not right.
Getting it now I don't need my girlfriend to carry me,she could only carry me on her back for 3 mins🤣🤣
Well only had a 1 min ride from a girl, wow so wimpy,so we need more machines to replace woman
A key keeps it safe from being thrown into the bed of a truck. Good luck
I had this same exact scooter, just some under a different name. It was a ton of fun and one of my favorite "toys" I've ever owned. Only downside was the folding mechanism had too much play in it and the front suspension sounded terrible if you were on a really rough ride. All and all, it was a great value for the money and it never gave me any issues. I topped it out at 53mph and I weigh 210lbs. Definitely had a lot of power! Great video, makes me want to buy another one!
What's the brand?? For how much you get it
@@princeofegypt4046 The scooter did not have a brand name on it. I purchased it from Alibaba from a company called Wuyi Boe sports equipment. It was $1,200usd plus shipping. I believe I paid about 350 for shipping. This was also two years ago so I'm sure price has changed since then.
@@danielandrews9767 does it still work
@@hyrulemasterchef9573 I sold it about a year and a half ago. I have no doubt that it would still work if I had it. Only thing I had to do was replace break pads.
I see alot of these no name scooters for really cheap and really powerful. but I'm afraid to buy them because there's basically no customer support and the quality of the parts is really low. I'm thinking of going with the wolf warrior x pro. it's $1800 and has a 60v 28ah LG/Samsung battery and goes 40mph+ and all the reviews say it's really good quality
Yes I definitely going offloading on an e scooter!
I got a gas scooter I'm almost done building. It is off road/ on road too. My last one 50cc could do 30% grades with no problem . Plus it was not very loud. 47 mile range. 1.4 liters
I want one but got no money:(
Can you review my scooter
SIck but just remember to accelerate through the jumb like-on a dirt bike. It feels weird and unnatural if you are treating it like a normal stunt scooter at the skatepark, dont bunny hop just let the scooter carry you over and accelerate the whole way through. I have a wolf warrior and have been taking it to a nearby pitbike dirt track for the last 2 years, the jumps are a bit smaller than motto x but i can still clear n 8/9 foot table top easy. You just ned to make sure you dont undershoot it as the suspension wont handle landing flat on top, im all most at the level of attempting some doubles but there is no middle so if i mess it up im going to be sore the next day. Just as long ass you land properly on the landing slope its like you never even left the ground though, trust its it very smooth smooth.
I bought one for 45$
I JUST ORDERED THE OUTSTORM MAXX PRO PLUS 5000 Watts Dual Motor 62 MPH Top Speed, 60 Mile Max Distance CAN'T WAIT TO GET IT!
Did you get it?? I am about to order one but I’ve heard some bad things that it doesn’t reach the true given specs - some people are saying 40 mph tops and only goes 16 miles and has too many problems
how do you like it
@@1KhaliDP LOVE IT!
@@elliott3531do you still have the scooter, thinking about getting one. Any problems with it??
@@enixine1266 I still have the scooter and it's awesome.
this scooter is nice and I found that it is similar to my NANROBOT LS7+
It needs a seat lol
Start saving your pennies he says. 😆
They need to make a 4 wheel drive electric all terrain buggy and 4x4 atv utility cart for me for driftwood hunting 😁
Hey I was like number 500 , great clip
Liar I was
@@Kyle_702 Bruh he Didnt say i was number 500 he Said like number 500
You spinning out on take off could be cause you had your bike on higher power setting? Maybe taking off from lower power would be better?
Please lord give me one of these to test 🥺
Honda just made their first electric bike way too expensive just like this one and most of them I'm glad I can go 25 miles per hour on my 500 watt ebike folding 4-in tire if you want to know where to get one hit me up $729
how much does it cost ????????????????????????????????
Links in the description, it's around $2,000
What’s the top speed it goes on flat?
55-60 mph, depends on rider weight
I stopped using Janobike T85 on the dirt for fun. It not sturdy enough. It's great for getting around daily and using for pulling trailers. It will break quickly, if using for off road fun.
you are being paid if they sent you the product what do you think the product is Payment so yes you’re being biased but I’m gonna watch the video Even though there is a incorrect statement
Suspension is not designed for off road that was the reason I didn't buy it
Wow Unbelievably fast shipping
Very sturdy, and easy to clean.Excellent product
> I wasn’t paid to do the review
> the company sent me a scooter
So you want a free scooter AND some money to do a review?
Big pass
Outstrom is a electric scooter from norway that you can buy for CHEAP on e-wheels
Im going to order one but im not going to be all in the dirt
Lol
Have you had any issues with this scooter in the long run, I'm asking because I'm tempted to buy it from Amazon but not if it's going to have issues.
Check the comments, I didn't keep it longer than a couple weeks
@@ElectricRevolution I checked the comments and found nothing. What happened
Please be advised, these Scooters are poorly manufactured. Purchased to sell in our stores and they have serious safety hazards such as the tires and rims are unstable after 15MPH, plus there charge controllers are not regulated nor grounded and I repeat will not kick the breakers causing them to literally melt away. The units are cheap metal, the frame is okay but the brakes are not suitable for anything after 10MPH, the battery last about 8 to 10 miles and you will need to plan for recharge soon. Takes about 3 hours to rapid charge and slow charge about 6 hours. They cost about 2200 after Shipping and handling. They show up damaged. I recommend buying locally or you will lose your money.
That wasn't my experience but thanks for the comment
You have to recharge your battery after 8 to 10 miles? Are they alkaline or something?
@@drockbmw I'm not sure. I never taken it apart. It's in the same way shipped. These are resold with different branding. I found 12 of the same ones with different companies. Which many have serious complaints and problems.
é um Foston S11 :-) insano!
This makes me want to get my dirt bike up and running
Appreciate it man...great video
I got my 3200w outstorm maxx pro, and did a 3rd gear, turbo and run it for maximum speed of 61 mph. This electric scooter is a monster, but I love it. Hehehe… oh I highly recommend to gear up if you want to reach the max speed.
Yeah for sure!
Is the one in Amazon the same
Nice good video
I weigh around 290 pounds. I wonder if I could do small hill jumps without breaking the scooter. And I wear size 13 shoes. I wonder how comfortable it would be to stand on the deck for my size.
You may have to stiffen the suspension but you should be able to do it and as far as footing, the deck is big and you should be ok however the stem is angled back a lot so it does take away from standing room and you may feel a little crowded
Can you upgrade the shocks ?
I'm still waiting on my max pro
I have this scooter
I love my outstorm
Also, where do you sell the 5000w Outstorm Maxx scooter ? Amazon doesnt have it, i checked with them. And batteries.
Not sure. The guy that sent me this will have a website up soon so check there
They have it on Amazon.ca (Canada) for 2,600 and 398 shipping.
You can get one with different battery capacities- up to 35 AH, a 67 miles claimed range.
Even street tires if you ask for it within 30 minutes of ordering.
I don't know if Amazon.ca will sell this to the US but you'd pay 25% less in US funds...
5.14.23
So on Amazon I see this scooter but it’s not 6k watt it say 3200 watt so I wanna make sure I’m getting the right one! I want the outstorm max that’s 60 miles range and 56 mph
I'd pick it up from Outstorms official page to make sure you get the right one. I've got the link in the description. The 60 mile, 56 mph speed is the one I reviewed.
I've seen some rebrands of this same scooter going for 1.1K or less.
Names or links?
any names???????????????
I'd rather have a Rokon 2wd motorcycle
Dual motor is more efficient then single motor because it uses less power to push you. Its not like gasoline engine with set amount of fuel injection.
For electric motor, it takes draws more power the more load you put on it. With dual motor you putting less load on each motor resulting in less power consumption.
Good to know! Thanks for the comment
Amazing filming! Love the drone shots and the second shooter position...very pro....11" lots of power...the brakes were good and the price seems very fair...what's it look like for repairs? Flat tire replacement and did you find the stem was strong enough? Cheers from Canada
Thanks man! Repairs are like any other scooter. Check the bolts every month maybe more if you hit super bumpy terrain. I already lost one bolt. I got replacement at Ace. Stem is solid, haven’t had to tighten it yet
@@ElectricRevolution awesome to hear :) stay safe :0 thanks for the reply :)
@@ElectricRevolution now it comes with 2 shocks in front instead of springs is that new I'm unsure if I want to buy it because it has 0 reviews and shipping takes awhile is it a good buy or no, please respond thanks for taking your time out of your day.
Awe man. That looks like a ton of fun!
It was mucho fun!
That would be so fun
great review with hitting all the important points - thanks
Glad it was helpful!
So for a rider that’s 5’9 would the handlebars be leaned in too far ?
I don't think it would be as much as an issue if you're shorter than me, I'm 5'11.
If you were to buy a new Electric Scooter today, which one is your top pick? Thank you
Kaabo Wolf Warrior - here's a review I did on it - ua-cam.com/video/UsrBZ463528/v-deo.html
hey i need help. i dont know if outstorm went out of business but i may need a part or my settings are messed up. i have no tension on the throttle. it is loose. i can manually move it and it works can someone gelp me?
Here's their website, I'd reach out directly www.rideoutstorm.com/
I could pick your scooter up with one arm and throw it in the back of my Durango in 5 seconds. A key won't stop that from happening. I would never leave it parked and unattended. These scooters are not cheap.
Now the scooter does look fun, but I think it could do better with a wider platform, and that wider platform could incorporate a larger battery which would raise it's range. A scooter intended to go very fast should be designed to avoid any foot overhang.
Won't run without the keys, so you'd have a heavy paper weight :)
@@ElectricRevolution my motorcycle would have been a heavier paperweight if I hadn't hotwired it when I lost my key.
@@deimosadrastos6172 lol
I believe I'm going to have to get one of these I think this would be perfect for me I'm handicapped and can't really walk very far and I still need to get back and forth from my truck to the equipment everyday and I believe this will save my job because it's getting harder to walk this would be a beautiful addition to my life thank you for the review
Little small tires you can only go on flat or you would be wiping out no need to go that fast on a scooter anyway to ask me I think it's stupid
😆
That would be Pine Valley Mountain. Southern Utah.
It is
That’s a powerful machine!
It really is. You gonna try it??? Lol
Awesome
Anyone can take off with your scooter . They just need a van or pick up for fast getaway.
I can’t get anyone to respond. What’s the status of the scooter today? I’m debating buying the max plus pro. (5,000 watt) is it worth it? I have terrible luck with controller failure
I don't have it anymore but I'd go with the pro, especially if you like more power.
this scooter has so many names . how to search the spares for it in the US ?
It does, Outstorm does have an official website, should be able to find some there - www.rideoutstorm.com/collections/electric-scooters

I have the nanrobot d4+2.0 and I want to buy this scooter but I'm not crazy about waiting over a month to get it. I can get everything else on my Amazon prime in 2 days but not this scooter. Does anyone know where I can buy this scooter with faster shipping? Awesome video by the way!

Hey man, what eScooter would you recommend to someone new to eScooters that lives out more in the country where it can get pretty hilly? Lightweight would also be a plus to be able to fold up and carry upstairs. Let me know your recommendations please. Thanks in advance.
Really depends on the price, I think my website would help ya out, it's got all my reviews sorted by price and capability electricrevolutionreviews.com/
Your obviously not going to give a bad review if they gave you a 2000 scooter for free. It’s obviously a paid review if you get something for free!!!!
Me and every other reviewer, that being said, the review is my honest opinion and it wasn't all glory and hallelujah, I mentioned things I didn't like about it.
I have the same exact model scooter got it for 500 bucks from someone who had it sitting for a while .. kickstand is broken off .. it’ll charge up and turn on and run fine if I put a block or jack on it but when I try to actually ride it dies .. any advice ?? Time for new battery or ?
Maybe so, that's what I'd do
I would not even consider this scooter looking at how cramped it is. The handlebar is practically hitting your chest.
Truth
What is the voltage of the battery that it must display when the battery is fully charged? Mine displays 70.1 and the i was told that i must charge it if it drops below 60 .
That sounds about right
Just bought this...It is amazing....But the buttons are A little confusing.....How do I get dual drive and max speed????.....If I push eco tubo button...Is it in eco or turbo....Cause when I hit the single dual button it puts it in dual drive mode....The way the buttons read it would seem that if I hit both it would be dual drive turbo...Is that correct or do I just hit the dual to get twin drive turbo....By hitting the eco button does that put it in eco or turbo cause the other button seems to do the opposite...Please help
It is a blast no joke! As far as I understand eco turbo lessens the acceleration whether on single or dual motor but yeah the buttons are confusing
scooters are no good for off roading- the wheels are too small, the whole platform is too unstable and they are way too heavy. suspension is quite inadequate for anything but tarmac
You'd be surprised however the suspension on this scooter isn't the best. There's some scooters that do amazing off road.
You could get a wacker of an ebike built for less than this, ten times more capable and much more economical/ergonomical to ride, and you look cool doing it
Cool scooter though
You could but the experience wouldn't be even close to the same :)
I wouldn’t buy one of these one-off models unless you are a master mechanic as there are a ton of different things that can go wrong that ordering from China will not help.
eh they're not that bad to fix, hasn't been my experience anyways
