That area just feels like it needs (and deserves) some love, the atmosphere and ideas are so perfect, but no bosses and it's very linear... a shame that kickstarter goal was never met. I don't care if it's 10 years down the road, I don't care if its paid (team cherry please stop spoiling us), I just want at some point, a bit more of hollow knight. The void and ancient civilization are both aspects of the lore that feel like they have room to be fleshed out. And I'm not confident Silksong will do that (although its possible). At the end of the day I just want more places to explore in hollow knight.
They were planning to do more with the Abyss, even giving it an entire bossfight but they didn't get enough funds on their Kickstarter, so they had to scrap it.
@@onaschaturvedi1585 there was a backer goal to have bosses in the void sea, and there's an unused asset of an abyss bench- it was definitely meant to have more. I do like having vast empty spaces in it like the giant well down though, that definitely does add atmosphere

Hollow knight is a masterpiece of a game. I once one it from a give away, but sadly quickly put it down. Because I didn’t know where to go. After talking to a friend who completed it though I got the motivation to continue the game. And I’m glad I did. I loved it. And still do. The art is amazing, the music in the game is phenomenal and the game play is so satisfying. (Even when I die for the 10267th time) I haven’t gotten around to fully completing the pantheons (I got pretty far though, and I’ve completed a fair amount of bosses on radiant mode. Including for example nightmare king Grimm.) but I still love it a lot. Even when I know I probably will not be able to complete the pantheons anytime soon. But none the less. The game is gorgeous and generally wonderfull. And even if I won it from a give away, the price is so criminally low for how high quality the game is, even with the dlc included. It seems like something that you’d need to pay a good 30 bucks for. But no. It’s way cheaper. It’s so worth getting. And I’d highly suggest it too anyone. If you have the time, and the little amount of money needed. Get the damn game. It’s very very good. And I’m sure you will love it. If not for the great sound track and art then definitely for the gameplay itself. So basically what I’m saying, get the game already you Idio-

It freaks the shit out of me, legit when i saw the reviving dead guys i wanted to close the game. Also the white worm dudes that turn in two scare the living fuck out of me
I remember it took me 49 attempts to beat p5 and when i kill absolute radiance i got off my gaming chair and started screaming , and my neigbors asked me "what the hell is goin on"

this gives me nostalgia of when I first played the game. thank you for bringing back those memories of when I first picked it up from target. completing the game or even just bosses was reliving and satisfying after enduring their attack and spells. Grimm and Hornet 1 and 2 I had the struggle with the most. I couldn't keep up with their fast paced attacks. But after some time, I beat them. Defeating the Hollow Knight was the clearest memory I had at of the game. I had finally gotten the ending, but there was still more. Even though if you completed The ending there is way more up ahead. Such as Defeating optional bosses, unlocking more charms, and challenging the Pantheon. The replayability of this game is astounding to my little cave man brain. And even if you have completed everything I talked about earlier, there still is one more final boss. The Radiance. I had struggled the most of this particular boss and I even tried to get advice from some youtubers like CrankyTemplar when he was livestreaming. The feeling of when I beat the Radiance Was ecstatic. I no longer play Hollow Knight because I have done everything I can (except doing Pantheon 5 and 4). But because of this particular game I have more interest in the metroidvania genre. I do think this is an underrated game and I really do recommend it to people who haven't played. Once again, thank you for bringing back these memories. AND WHEN'S SILKSONG
‘Elegy for hallownest’ is basically just a sumamrisation for the story up until that point. That someone created a kingdom, and something bad happened. Makes a lot more sense the second time you replay the game, so i think itd have been cool if you could read it in monomons archives.

Ever since I played hollow knight, it has become my favorite game I've ever played. So much so that I got a Kingsbrand tat on the Hames 3rd birthday. The atmosphere, the combat, the music, the story, everything about is just impeccable.The only game that came close to topping it for me was Outer Wilds but I still think of the crappy place my life was in when I found hollow knight and its held a special place in my heart ever since. This game is so incredible and it was made by FOUR people.When playing the game it feels like a gift from the gods and maybe a few demons. 100/10 game would recommend the game definitely picks up after second boss already have over 300 hours and 5 whole replays start from finish.

I absolutely ADORE the path of pain. I only got a bit annoyed a couple times when doing it, because it was always my fault I failed. It was never a sawblade moving too quickly, or spikes in the wrong place, it was my stupidity. When I did complete it, I felt awesome

Man i have been experiencing some depression from this game. Its that feeling when you want to re experience something for the first time. I have been dealing with this feeling for a year now and i dont know how to cope man it really fkn pains me knowing that i will never experience the thrill of playing hk for the first time ever again.

Take it from a guy who used to hide in comments while watching horror videos, the game isnt scary. Its... actually just art. Its basically perfect. You will not feel scared while playing, you will only feel miserable depressed and sad

all gamers know that the game actually starts at the end of the game because of the sheer amount of mods that people add to make this game cursed blessed blursed and everything inbetween for example the randomizer mod when you first go into it you think mmmmmmmmmmmmmm this shouldn't be too difficult and then it kicks your ass and tells you *have you studied every single drop in this game if not come back when you've played for five minutes* theirs also mods that make the game go from platformer heaven on steroids to platformer heaven on steroids AND crack oh did i also mention that there's mods that make it so that your little knight friend can look even more dripped out (ok this is the last mod ill touch on but there's so many more that can enhance the game to be way more fun) the full on remakes that retouches charms for them to do different things give the knight different items reskinning bosses and enemies and even more that being said this was a very well made video i definetly enjoyed it seeing that i played this game for 800+ hours *entirely worth it btw*

Man i have been experiencing some depression from this game. Its that feeling when you want to re experience something for the first time. I have been dealing with this feeling for a year now and i dont know how to cope man it really fkn pains me knowing that i will never experience the thrill of playing hk for the first time ever again.
U can tell someone to play that game & watch them play it, their reactions on things can cheer u up
@@theceoofeggmansempire5214 Thanks for the advice, got over hk post game depression but now im mentally stuck on Signalis, a indie survival horror game which is 10 times sadder and more soul crushing than hollow knight. I'd recommend you the game but if you're already depressed, avoid it.

@@theceoofeggmansempire5214 Well horror is an overstatement, there are no real jumpscares, what makes it "Horror" is the absolute brilliant atmosphere. Take it from a guy who used to hide in comments while watching horror videos, the game isnt scary. Its... actually just art. Its basically perfect. You will not feel scared while playing, you will only feel miserable depressed and sad

Hollow Knight was such a fun game to play. It’s an experience unlike any other. Topping impossible foes, collecting charms, getting scammed.
all gamers know that the game actually starts at the end of the game because of the sheer amount of mods that people add to make this game cursed blessed blursed and everything inbetween for example the randomizer mod when you first go into it you think mmmmmmmmmmmmmm this shouldn't be too difficult and then it kicks your ass and tells you *have you studied every single drop in this game if not come back when you've played for five minutes* theirs also mods that make the game go from platformer heaven on steroids to platformer heaven on steroids AND crack oh did i also mention that there's mods that make it so that your little knight friend can look even more dripped out (ok this is the last mod ill touch on but there's so many more that can enhance the game to be way more fun) the full on remakes that retouches charms for them to do different things give the knight different items reskinning bosses and enemies and even more that being said this was a very well made video i definetly enjoyed it seeing that i played this game for 800+ hours *entirely worth it btw*
