He played on the left side of the defense, which means the QB always saw him coming. He still put up career stats comparable to LT. And no I don't think he was better, but you know what I mean
@@charlesjonesjr.864 he was the NFL’s greatest OLB in the 1980s NOT named Lawrence Taylor. Jackson’s numbers speak for themselves, the sacks, the forced fumbles, and the tackles . . . he was a straight beast.

@@thomaschandler6663. . . No sir. Based on career performance, Rickey Jackson is tied with Ted Hendricks as the 2nd best OLB in NFL history while Andre Tippett is further down the list tied with Joey Porter and Mo Lewis and it’s not even close. Tippett had two incredible years where he totaled 35 total sacks . . . but as far highlights, that’s it. Tippett gets credit for being the most talented player on the Patriots Super Bowl team that got pounded by the ‘85 Bears but please don’t start by comparing him to Rickey Jackson who had a more superior career. Let’s be reasonable.
he is legendary
Criminally underrated.
Better than Andre Tippett.
Better than Carl Banks.
