Huge Garden Tour & My Videos Are Being Stolen

- Our gardens are on their way out, but there is still bounty to be found.
Here's the information about the page who has stolen my identity and videos.
Someone has created a fake Celebrating Appalachia page and is scraping all our videos and then uploading them to that page. They are violating Facebook's rules and guidelines as well as violating copyright laws.
I reported them to Facebook, but everything I've read says Facebook pays more attention if multiple reports are submitted about a fraudulent page. If you are on Facebook and have time to report the page we would greatly appreciate it.

Near the top of the page on the right you'll see 3 small dots. Click on them and a drop down menu appears.
Choose Report page, then choose Scam, fraud or impersonation (or it may say Scam, fraud or false information), then choose what you feel fits best. On my device it is Fraud or scam on Corie's impersonation is a choice so she chose it and then she chose fake profile. The last step is submitting your report.
One of the pitfalls of having an online business is the constant barrage of people trying to use your likeness to scam others.

I am so sorry some scoundrel is scamming you! I am not on FB but my husband is, I will ask him to report the pretenders. I rarely comment but you and your family are so refreshing and kind, and when you choked up a bit it made me a little emotional. Yesterday I did the three dots and reported the FB page to Facebook. Now I'll do the "this is a fraud page" posts. Thanks for letting all of us help your family. God provides and protects 😇
This is what I posted to every one of the videos on the fraudulant page: THIS PAGE IS A FRAUD. This page is stealing the content of the real Celebrating Appalachia owners on youtube. Whoever is running this page is stealing from the hard work of Tipper & Matt! I also wrote this on the "reviews" section on the page.

Love the flowers, the nasturtiums, moss rose, and zinia are my favorite. The hummingbirds love the zinias. I planted 2 hibiscus under my kitchen window. This year, they were full of hummingbirds. I had much joy watching them as i did all that kitchen work of putting up. My family is from the kings mountain area and Griffen Ga. I now live on a homesstead in central ks. I wanted snow in the winter. Watching your videos brings me home. Your Appalachian accent is soothing to me. Thank you.

I decided to lay down and take a little power nap, but before I went to sleep, I wanted to watch your latest episode… September 4, 2024.
Then I woke up to hearing you and Matt talking about sledding, deep snow and how it keeps snowing and snowing and snowing.
Oh my goodness. Have I napped my way through to winter??? What day is this? What month is this? What year is this?
I felt like I was in a nightmare version of “back to the future.” I looked at my phone and it had 17% battery left.
I looked at the episode and it was a year old. I realized I had watched all the episodes in between while I was sleeping.
But I did report the fraudulent Facebook page repeatedly.
Now I have to go back and watch the whole episode again. 😊

Those butter beans are the prettiest color. I wrote an Appalachian short story about a impoverished little girl stringing red beans together to make a necklace for Christmas for the student whose name she drew at school. Good morning from southern Indiana! This week so far we put up sweet pickles, salsa, and something new is a tomato jam. It only made a little but the plan is for bacon or egg breakfast sandwiches. It is sweet but not overly sweet and cooked down til no liquid is is present. Mighty tasty! Always fun to plan next year! We are going to try a rain barrel next year.

I’m a multi generational daughter of Appalachian people from southern WV/VA. Mama moved to central VA for work decades ago so we ended up here. I watch your channel to remind me of her, my grandparents, my aunts & uncles and the food and all the things… My culture and my people. It feels like home❤love y’all

I was reading something that I have yet to try. I read that when you first plant your tomatoes, you should throw a couple of egg shells and sprinkle some Epsom Salts down in the hole first. This will make strong plants a prevent blossom end rot. Also if you put your plants sidways in the hole when planting, that will put a lot of the stem under the soil making a larger root system and stronger plants. I am going to have to try that!
Precious Tipper! I discovered your Chanel a few years ago. I like and subscribe however this is my first time commenting. I was born and raised in a small town by the river in Southern Ohio (Appalachian foothills) and now live in a small town near the ocean in Southern California. I watch your videos whenever I’m feeling nostalgic. Your soothing voice, familiar accent and way of life takes me back in time. Two years ago when I was undergoing aggressive treatment for breast cancer and missing my mom and grandparents (all departed) your videos brought me extra comfort (I prescribed myself a daily dose 😊). I made it through and am now in full remission 🙏! So thank you and your family for inadvertently being a part of my healing. I am so sorry about the imposter FB page. I just submitted an alert to FB and also left a negative review and fraud alert comment on the imposter’s page. Hopefully FB will take action and shut them down soon. In the meantime, please keep inviting us into your kitchen and garden and sharing your sweet spirit and beautiful light (along with the down home recipes). Much love and gratitude ❤ 🙏

You can pick the green nasturtium seeds and pickle them to make "poor man's capers." I tried it several years ago after seeing a UA-cam video on it. Your garden is still beautiful. I left the bottoms of my celery in the ground to see if anything will still grow this fall or in the spring. Aunt Ruby's German Green Tomato did the best for me this year for tomatoes. Sad the season is ending already.

Thank you for the tour, Tipper! I learned so much the first year with a garden. I was a bit behind on getting paid by freelance clients, so didn't get my things transplanted out until late. I think the heat at that point just stunted everything-basically just 2 tomatoes per plant. The beds were pure cow compost, so I think the soil was good. We'll see! It was a learning experience and it's nice how us gardeners can enjoy it even if it was a little bit of a disappointing year in many areas.

I’m h Tipper, I’m just sick thinking how someone has violated you in such a mean way. Yes, I will complain/report them. Haven’t been on in a while and I need to catch up. But oh those roses are gorgeous! With some health issues, I think my beans are on there last leg bc I couldn’t get the picking of the last bunch done. Got some blossoms, but also with the weather issues the pests have been so bad this year. Happy to see yours!

Our hot and bell peppers have done real well. I have put lots in the freezer. I will dry them and ground them up and I put seasoning and herbs with them to be able to put in jar to be able to shake out on meat and other food.

Done! I went through and systematically reported the page as well as each of the 56 individual (current) posts. Then I went back up and reported the page again, for good measure. Yes, dahlias grown from seed produce tubers. These tubers can be separated and lifted at the end of the growing season, and then planted again in the spring.
