Thank-You Arthur!!!! LOVED Robert Young!!!! He seemed like such a DECENT man! Heard he was CRUSHED when NOT invited to Co-Star James Brolin's 'Wedding' to Barbara Striesand!!!! Brolin said it was an "OVERSIGHT"!!! DOUBTFUL!!!!
There was rumor that Rex Harrison, who was having an AFFAIR with Carole Landis at the time of her passing, either killed her himself, or had her killed. Apparently his wife found out about the affair. And Carole was wanting to make a more PERMANENT relationship with Harrison. Also, Thank-You for the tidbit on Bogey being buried with a Gold Whistle from Bacall. NEVER heard that!!!!
I love the videos and you have done a great narrating them. What fascinates me and I wasn't aware is how young so many of the actors/actresses were that passed.
Thank you for this Series. And particularly thank you for the attention to Carole Landis. According to her autobiography She was a talented actress that was crushed by the Hollywood Movie Machine.
Fun fact: The famous, Wyatt Earp was a technial consultant during a few of Tom Mix's movies. After Wyatt passed on in 1929, it was reported Mix openly wept during Wyatt's funeral.
From what I researched, he indeed was. Wyatt shares his grave plot with his 4th wife, Josephine and was a historical advisor during western films back in the day including Tom Mix's films.
Very nice presentation -- Jimmy Stewart is a favorite actor of mine -- I'm glad I can still see him in all his movies. Forest Lawn is truly beautiful and regal -- a very fitting resting place for all these famous people. I visited there many years ago.
Thank you for these videos! I'm planning to visit this cemetery and would have missed so many graves if it weren't for your series! These are so well done, bravo!
I am from Cameron County, the second smallest county in PA where Tom Mix was born and raised. Saw his ghost once walking across his family property while on a Boy Scout camping trip to fix up the families estate. Unfortunately now, to many have destroyed what we did and it is not managed by anyone anymore. Before Tom became an actor he delivered ice to residents of the county. One of the former secretaries from our school remembered him coming to her house to drop of ice.
You videos are so professionally done and so well researched and produced. You also come across as a very nice fellow. Your narration is absolutely beautiful.
Mr. Dark, I am truly hooked on your videos. I love the narration, respect and research you pack into each episode. The spirits must have been with you throughout your visit here, seeing as you were quite lucky to find several gates unlocked ;-).
I'm sure the likes of beautiful Carole Landis and other long lost stars would be most thankful that you have shone a light on them once again.I learned an awful lot about the dawn of Hollywood from these videos...thank you.
The grave ar the top of the highest point is where Terry Kath is buried, along side his parents. Terry Kath was the legendary singer & guitarist for the band Chicago. I have visited a couple of times & am always amazed at the beauty & grandeur of Forest Lawn.
Regarding Robert Young. A long time ago I read or saw on tv that he made sure that his co-stars on Father Knows Best were insured that they would receive residuals from reruns of that show. Classy guy.
After watching these videos, which I very much enjoy, I have to ask why are some of the areas open to the public and others closed off? It seems that the cemetery does a great job of upkeep and making the grounds secure so vandalism doesn't seem to be a big problem there. If the graves of other famous people are not destroyed or vandalized why do they think they need to sequester some of the graves but not others? You can walk up to Jimmy Stewart or Elizabeth Taylor but you can't walk up to Sammy Davis Jr. or Lon Chaney, it doesn't make sense to me.
I'm pretty sure that Sammy Davis Jr was able to be walked up to, he showed it in #2 video of this cemetery I believe. But yes, I know what you mean. It's weird. Probably wishes of the family.
Hi just wanted to say thanks and well done on these fabulous and very informative graveyard tour videos! I've watched them all and found them really addictive mainly due to your presenting skills. I'm British watching here in Lincolnshire but really want to visit Forest Lawn Westwood etc someday! Have you ever thought of making bids of famous European cemeteries? Highgate in London or Pere Lachaise in Paris for example?Regards from England! Kevin.
I have such respect for the actors of the golden age; the ladies were classy, the gentlemen were real men and all were patriotic! Contrast that with actors of today.
Thats why the golden Stars like Bogart or Stewart, Douglas and Lancaster still will be famous in 50 yrs and most most of the todays celebs are forgotten in 10.
I'm a new subscriber and I am very impressed with the quality of your videos.i love the old cemeteries anyway, but you've added style to them.great job😁❤️
I'll remember knight for being the narrator for 1970s super freund's. Never got to meet him, but I wish I could have said thanks for making my childhood great.
James Stewart was raised in Indiana, PA and the downtown area honors him to this day. On the street corners when you press the button to cross, Rich Little recorded Jimmy’s voice telling you it’s safe to cross. Jimmy’s childhood home is still around on Vinegar Hill. There’s a plaque stating the location of the Stewart Hardware Store, long owned and run by Jimmy’s father - it’s now S&T Bank. There’s a bronze statue of Jimmy in front of the courthouse and there’s a museum located next door. Fascinating walk through that includes the front door of Jimmy’s actual house in CA before it was demolished.
I love these grave tours. I snuck into the Great Mausoleum & saw Red Skelton’s crypt. Little did I know that I was close to the gorgeous Jean Harlow who I really wanted to see but it was roped off. They should really let people visit then. Most of their families are dead now and no one gets to visit so try don’t get any visitors . How Sad!
When I was 14 we..my family and I visited this great place. It was 1969...I thought it was beautiful!! Especially liked the crucifixion of Christ picture. Enjoyed your 3 tours.
I remember hearing somewhere that Claude Rains had an unflattering Nickname for Humphrey Bogart! I won't say it here, but, it was very funny! That Claude Rains! Such a Class Act!

You should plan a trip to Indiana, Pennsylvania. It’s where Jimmy grew up, his childhood home is there, a statue, and a great museum
Bree Shields omg I would love to see where he grew up. I love Jimmy Stewart!
Amen. He is my favorite.
Thank you for this Series. And particularly thank you for the attention to Carole Landis. According to her autobiography She was a talented actress that was crushed by the Hollywood Movie Machine.
No, she was crushed by Rex Harrison
Fun fact: The famous, Wyatt Earp was a technial consultant during a few of Tom Mix's movies. After Wyatt passed on in 1929, it was reported Mix openly wept during Wyatt's funeral.
TheDemonDeuce. wasn't he also a pallbearer too?.
From what I researched, he indeed was. Wyatt shares his grave plot with his 4th wife, Josephine and was a historical advisor during western films back in the day including Tom Mix's films.
TheDemonDeuce. Also wasn't John Wayne like an assistant at the time right when he met Wyatt?
scoggins07 I don't think so. He made his lead acting debut in 1930 from what I know.
The Big Trail was Wayne's first major role.
Very nice presentation -- Jimmy Stewart is a favorite actor of mine -- I'm glad I can still see him in all his movies. Forest Lawn is truly beautiful and regal -- a very fitting resting place for all these famous people. I visited there many years ago.
Love how you do their pictures works and clips Jimmy Stewart is my favorite love him in the movie Shenandoah
Thank you for these videos! I'm planning to visit this cemetery and would have missed so many graves if it weren't for your series! These are so well done, bravo!
Whether you be a prince or a street sweeper, we all have to dance with the Grim Reaper.
I am amazed at.the simplicity of the head stones. I thought the actors and actresses would have extravagance in the their final resting places
Check out Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor. Very ostentatious.
Mr. Dark, I am truly hooked on your videos. I love the narration, respect and research you pack into each episode. The spirits must have been with you throughout your visit here, seeing as you were quite lucky to find several gates unlocked ;-).
Thanks Ren!
Hope to visit one day
Regarding Robert Young. A long time ago I read or saw on tv that he made sure that his co-stars on Father Knows Best were insured that they would receive residuals from reruns of that show. Classy guy.
Ted Knight also had a bit part in Psycho at the end. He plays one of the officers/guards guarding Norman Bates.
How is this not a tv show yet? Absolutely brilliant. Instead we have to endure mindless garbage like Keeping up with the Kardashians!!🤮🤮
Here Here Missyb 75. Great comments. Isn't it too sad?
The People who run tv Will fuck him over. Just enjoy it On here.
That whole family is garbage.....
Another wonderful presentation !
Carole Landis -- 😍WOW
After watching these videos, which I very much enjoy, I have to ask why are some of the areas open to the public and others closed off? It seems that the cemetery does a great job of upkeep and making the grounds secure so vandalism doesn't seem to be a big problem there. If the graves of other famous people are not destroyed or vandalized why do they think they need to sequester some of the graves but not others? You can walk up to Jimmy Stewart or Elizabeth Taylor but you can't walk up to Sammy Davis Jr. or Lon Chaney, it doesn't make sense to me.
I have often wondered that too
I'm pretty sure that Sammy Davis Jr was able to be walked up to, he showed it in #2 video of this cemetery I believe. But yes, I know what you mean. It's weird. Probably wishes of the family.
@@antwon1228 when you pay upwards of 100k just for a crypt, I wouldn't want people there either.. why take that risk?
"How do you know?"
"Because I'm Italian." LOL!
Kevin.
Would love to episodes in Europe someday...here's hoping!
reinhard0069 Does anyone know where Christopher Lee ended up. Was he buried or cremated?
I have such respect for the actors of the golden age; the ladies were classy, the gentlemen were real men and all were patriotic! Contrast that with actors of today.
Thats why the golden Stars like Bogart or Stewart, Douglas and Lancaster still will be famous in 50 yrs and most most of the todays celebs are forgotten in 10.
It's before Hollywood went Soviet Red and became sexually liberated. Now it's all subversion of all Americans held dear.
Each generation has their favorite celebrities….let us not be intolerant to a choice that is not the same as yours…..
I love all your tours! can't wait for the next one! awesome job!
Thanks Cori!
Absolutely love your work!! Its nice to get to see and hear some history and lifetime events of these famous people!! GREAT WORK!!!
I'm a new subscriber and I am very impressed with the quality of your videos.i love the old cemeteries anyway, but you've added style to them.great job😁❤️
You do such a good job on these videos. Keep them coming they are awesome!!!!
All I can say is how awesome these are, fantastic video production and done so well!!! Keep them coming!
I enjoy these quite a bit. Keeping their memories alive.
rest in peace mary pickford the best legendary actress of the world and of the year i love youu and always love youu iam your big fans
How Sad!
Dude I think you got me hook on this hollywood graveyards of the most famous people
The grounds of this, the original Forrest Lawn, are immaculate. The chapel area is very 'lilliputin'.
I liked Lauren Bacall she was amazing actress and there will never be another like her
When I was 14 we..my family and I visited this great place. It was 1969...I thought it was beautiful!! Especially liked the crucifixion of Christ picture. Enjoyed your 3 tours.
My dad's favorite two actors were Errol Flynn and Humphrey Bogart. In fact we had a dachshund named Humphrey when i was a kid😂
I remember hearing somewhere that Claude Rains had an unflattering Nickname for Humphrey Bogart! I won't say it here, but, it was very funny! That Claude Rains! Such a Class Act!
Thanks for sharing. Wonderful
carole landis was beautiful
yes she was the one of most beautiful lady in human history...
Amana 6l
Knf k
Lee
I'd never heard of her until i watched this....I agree 100% stunning looks
A tragic end like Lupe Velez
+Bill L : Yeah, that was a mess. 🤦♀️
I don’t know how many people even know the story of Miss Valez, but they should do a little research. Tragic.
Robert Young was excellent in "The Enchanted Cottage" in which he played a disfigured WWII veteran who magically finds love. A great movie!
I've been going to Forest Lawn my whole life. I have a lot of family buried there. I was told that there was alot of famous people buried there. I had no idea. Thank you.....🙏
thank you so much for all the effort in bringing this to us. I have walked the park on several occasions but have not seen as much as I have in these episodes. thanks again.
May You Forever Rest in Eternal Peace Jimmy Stewart. You are sadly missed, but You are absolutely never Forgotten. You should see the Museum Your Hometown has in memory of You.
SOME OF THESE CEMETERIES ARE ABSOLUTELY STUNNING , MAY THEY ALL RIP , HEAVEN MAY BE SMILING WITH ALL THESE WONDERFUL PPL
These vids are a part of my work day. I play these as I work on machines.
