Fred MacMurray was one of my favorite all-time he actually his family is not too far from where I live in Wisconsin I think his parents grew up in Beaver dam Wisconsin
RIP John Franklin Candy (October 31, 1950 - March 4, 1994) you're one of my favorite actors of all time and you will be truly missed. I love watching you in Uncle Buck, Spaceballs, The Great Outdoors, and of course Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.
Thank you for including Mario Lanza, the greatest tenor of them all. One day I hope to visit his grave. I love him so much. His wife Betty is in the space to his right. We lost them both way too soon, at ages 38 and 37 respectively. Betty died five months after her beloved husband, whom she simply could not live without. She died of a broken heart.
I still watch all of John Candy's movies that I grew up with. Now my kids enjoy them with me. My all time favorite is Planes, Trains and Autombobiles !
I still miss this great actor. I grew up watching his movies so his name is a part of my childhood. I loved his performances in Spaceballs, The Great Outdoors and Who's Harry Crumb? My favorite line was from the last one, Harry is on a bike converted to an exercise machine. Jeffrey Jones is his boss and is sitting in his very fancy office, filled with expensive museum pieces. He's pedaling and pondering the case he's working on and says "One thing I don't know, is what this lever does." Jeffrey says "Maybe it's a brake." He casually slaps the lever and it releases the bike. He loses control and goes FLYING through the doors where it shoots out from under him. It crashes into the wall, knocking EVERYTHING down. "You're right, it was a brake!"
I liked John Candy he was a legend in the comedy and he was a great actor and a great person and there will never be another one like him and he's still missed 😥
I am 50. I am very proud to say my favorite movie of all times is Cool Runnings. Mr. Candy left us far too soon! Rest in peace sir; you are loved forever! 💖💐
Living in Australia, I can only imagine ever being able to visit places like this to pay my respects. Thankyou for giving us an insight into the final resting place of so many Hollywood Legends. I find it fascinating. I also am pleased that so many are off limits to the public, continuing the respect that they deserve.
Another gem, thank you! Am I the only one who finds it puzzling that some of the folk we had grown up watching are actually dead? I just imagine they are going to go on forever...and they do, in our hearts and minds.
The level of research on these people is fantastic. Also, there's a commitment to commemorating such a diversity of players, performers and artists who still merit being remembered today. Great work, guys!
My dad loved Mario Lanza. He thought he had the best voice ever. He was crushed when Lanza died so young. I think one of Fred MacMurray's best roles was in The Caine Mutiny. He played the bad guy who got a drink thrown in his face at the end. I love your videos.
I am so addicted to watching all of your graveyard tours! Knowing I prob will never get the chance to see any of these in person, this is a way for me to have that experience! Very informative! Keep it up!
When I was 8 years old my parents took me to the rosary/visitation of my grandfather’s cousin, which was in the same mortuary where Mario Lanza’s similar service was also taking place. Huge crowd and unbelievable amount of flowers.
Will always remember Actor John Candy on S.C.T.V. As well as part owners with Hockey Icon Wayne Gretzky with the Toronto Argonauts in the 90.s. He is sorrowly missed.
Late to the party, but glad this channel exists. Very respectful and love to hear and see all the names and work of people shown. I love walking in graveyards to look at people's names. John Candy is my favourite actor and my biggest role model.

Holy Cross Cemetery houses the remains of three L.A. sports luminaries: • Walter O'Malley -- Dodgers owner who brought the team from Brooklyn to Los Angeles • Chick Hearn -- long-time voice of the Lakers • Jim Murray -- Pulitzer Prize winning sportswriter for the LA Times
I visit Holy Cross frequently as my brother, Michael, is interred in a niche west of Virginia Davis. Through the years I have had the honor of not only placing flowers at Michael's niche, but also John Candy, Fred MacMurray, June Haver, and Ray Bolger. I will try to visit the other entertainers featured in this well made video on my next visit to the Holy Cross Mausoleum. I enjoyed seeing the video footage connected with the entertainers who performed before I was born. I miss you bro!

I've seen a coffin being lowered into the ground but to get John Candy's coffin high up in a wall must be something to behold for his family on the day of his funeral.
The cemetery has a lift that they place the coffin on and it lifts the casket up to the crypt and the workers push it in . They use marbles to get the casket in the spot
