That was until the former animators of Gurren Lagann (Studio Trigger) remade it into an anime called SSSS. Gridman. Both the original and SSSS. Gridman are fantastic and both are worth a watch.
There is always going to be at least one or three series in each SRW that is going to have the largest animation budget. Trigger wants to make sure Gridman is in good hands.
There's also the Hypsistos, but then again, they only reused the animation from Z3 (where it probably took a ton of the budget, which is justifiable because the final boss can't be a slouch)
Some of these sequences made me tear up a bit. Not even lying. I haven't even seen Mazinger or Gaogaigar vs Betterman and I actually choked up watching them.

So Earth's basically safe from any celestial body/megastructure drop.
3 meteors slammed earth in OG storyline lol. Still humans prevailed. Tho the 3rd one wasn't a natural space rock but it still brought chaos over earth. Stubborn indeed

Easy to hit, and among the cast, it's the squishiest among the super robots. That's why you need to plan on when to cast the right skill among the five pilots if you ever deploy Combattler. You can make Combattler somewhat tanky by giving it Armor boosting parts and have it equip the Orgone Cloud part that you'll get from the AOS.

It’s a standalone story. But it is also a crossover mashup of the plots of a lot of other mecha anime, so you WILL get spoilers, and considering this game contains mecha anime from the 70s all the way to 2018, there is definitely spoilers from shows you’ve not yet watched. That said, if you don’t mind spoilers, finding out about mecha anime that you’ve never even heard of before is part of the fun.
