Robbie if possible Can't you go and help that old lady neighbour of yours to clean the yard??? and this can be a lovely video too...
What a lovely idea. Could you find a bunch of your gardening friends (UA-camrs) to help and they could all be filming also. It would be a lovely, thoughtful video on showing how caring UA-camrs are.
Came here to say just this! My first time commenting. What a wonderful gift you would be giving her, and yourself. Great video possibility.
That's such a great idea.. so sweet!❤
Was also going to suggest helping her, it would make a great show. Your neighborhood looks lovely and you guys have a great home.
I think the same way, as far as helping older folks. But, poor Robbie! He can't even get his own yard finished! Maybe the other neighbors could also pitch in, or maybe that little lady likes her landscape this way. My mother in law loved her landscaping "Lush" and overgrown. She liked the way it looked and wanted the shade and privacy it provided. She used to get mad at Pops every time he decided to do some trimming!
You need to add to your merch a shirt that says "That's Not Our Rooster"! So sweet that you are planting Red for Brent! Hugs to you guys!
I came to the comment section to say this and you had already suggested it 😅
@@tammydeal6245 Great minds think alike! Have a great day!
Hi Robbie I love the selection of music you play in your videos
All the new plants are in contrast with the colors in that area, very eye catching, great job and sweet to give Brent some color in the garden ❤
The sedum and hydrangea combo!!! ✨chef’s kiss✨
Maybe for a video you and some of your neighbors could help her out with a yard clean up.
How thoughtful of you to plant Brent’s favorite odor.
Robbie maybe you could offer to help the lilac ladies yard. Helping your view also ❤
“If’s not my lilac” lol. Love the rooster crowing. Robbie’s real life.
So thoughtful of you planting for Brent; I’m sure he will notice it.🌸
I think Brent will love these plants as they give more color to the garden beds.
I’m a red flower lover too. And the hummingbirds are drawn to them as well.Any color bloom are a joy.
Hi Robbie! That is so sweet of you to add some plants that Brent will like. They will be really pretty! I tend to lean more toward the colors of the coleus and sedums, but the echinacea's will be so pretty, too. Congrats on the new baby finch! Freya is so cute, I love seeing her in your videos. I love the contorted trunk on the vitex, too. It looks so much better. It's sad that the older lady doesn't remove the invasive rose and privet. Maybe she isn't able to do it, or have it done? Quite a few commenters asked about you and others volunteering to help her out. I hope you answer this in the Q&A. Would love to hear your thoughts on it. Thank you so much for sharing!
Trimming the lower branches up was a good idea. I like to trim up my tree to see the trunk.
Oh wow...loved the split second morning glory. Thanks for the instruction in limbing up the Vitex. I have one that needs it.
Hi Robbie I love your selection of music you play in your videos .. I catch myself tapping my feet 😁freya is always such a delight to see …❤
The Vitex looks gorgeous.
Robbie, glad you are doing it for him, he is a good man, he deserves to have red flowers❤
That coleus will be a statement when it gets some size. The garden is gorgeous! Thank you for posting. 😘
Brent will love this gesture! have a great day Robbie
The sedum looks so good where you planted it! Complements the other plants wonderfully.
Everyone needs a Brent in their life!! 😊 🪴
Robbie! Heard you talking about your elderly neighbor’s lilac, and I immediately thought, “Wouldn’t it be great content if Robbie went and offered the older woman next-door to do a little bit of maintenance on her trees that are lining his fence?” Wouldn’t that be the biggest Win-Win for you both? ❤ Just a thought!
I'll definitely be on the hunt for that sedum. It transformed that bed & is beautiful. Freya was just helping you dispose of that plant can...lol. 💚🐶
Love the sedum in that area! Great job! ♥️♥️♥️
Oh I hope Mr Brent appreciates you and if he doesn’t I do❤
Perfect place for the sedums the dark color brings out the gorgeous dark stems of the hydrangea. Now you need to find something for against the house and this bed will be beautiful and complete. Needs mulch 😊😊😊😊
Those sedum look great in that location…I’m sure Brent will love them! The trunks of that Viatex( sp?) are really going to pop next to the dark fence!🇨🇦🌸🇨🇦
Robbie, how thoughtful . Hope you got all that vine weed too. They are buggers.
Awesome job Robbie. Looks amazing!
Yay Brent! I love red in a garden too! Red roses would be gorgeous too. Can you grow caladiums? There are so many varieties that are a stunning red.
Oh I love the morning glory! Deanna
Thanks Robbie. Brent will be happy I’m sure. 💐💚🙃
For bindweed, try pulling it out best you can, then pour boiling water in the hole. It may take a couple times, but it worked for me.
I just love your shovel, do you remember where you picked it up? 🎉
Getting my oil changed and watching you trim your Vitex since I can’t trim mine right now. I usually do this after 1st flush of blooms when deadheading. Love these trees!
Robbie, the sight of the other rooflines of your neighbors, especially the sheds, etc., add so much to the look of your garden. I just love the look. QUESTION: I wonder if your neighbor on the side where that Ladybanks rose is would let you take it out and the other trees that mask that lilac, or if you would even want to do that. But I thought it was an idea. If she is older, she may not be able to afford them removed and maybe she would like that too. I do love my red geraniums and have many, I also have pink and white. That is nice of you to think of Brent and what he likes too.
I have the Split Second Morning glory too, it's beautiful! Save the seeds for next year ❤
It was a good day and a great video. Thank you
That was so sweet to add plants that Brent loves and a good choice of compromise.I'm too selfish to add red. 😂 I'm 100% with you on the vitex. I have 7 of them 3 different varities. My favorite is the delta blues.
Great additions to your garden. The little bit of color makes all the green pop even more. Will be watching for that coleus to fill in that area.
Beautiful gardens!
Love that you were planting those for Brent. He is so sweet. Like I love how he set up the umbrella for you near the Vitex. I just bought one of those and I can’t wait until until it blooms. I see little buds starting.
Question, do you have a rough up the roots when you are potting plants into the ground? I hear mixed recommendations and I am curious what you think.?
Thank you for another awesome video.
P.S, your eyes are amazing ❤❤
Some very dark green or dark purple low growing plants below the Vitex would really show it off! But hey the garden looks great and it was nice to put in some flowering plants for Brent..Have a good weekend❣
I am also one who doesn't care for red. Everything looks great
That sedum is so pretty next to the hydrangea!
I love to see you planting things for Brent. I also try to plant things for my husband's enjoyment (since it is technically his garden too 🙄). "His" guacamole hosta is doing great!
Hi Robbie, I like the T-shirt you were wearing, why do I only see a black one on your website? Love watching the birds! 🧚🏿♀️🦜🦚
Freya enjoying the garden so sweet!!!!!
Love the sedums combined with the hydrangea. Picks up the black stems in it.
Bindweed can grow back from the smallest part of root left in the soil however if you are vigilant and watch for the smallest amount of regrowth in the area and keep weeding it out, it weakens and eventually dies out
I like red in garden also, red bee balm, Maltese cross, red poppies, and rose champion, which is more of a fusha color. It's on a silvery tall stem with silver soft leaves and will reseed.
Do you think your neighbor would be willing to let you help with maintenance of her lilac? That would be a great way to build community.
The vitex looks much better trimmed up a bit. 💚💚
Aww, it will warm Brent's heart when he notices the plants. 💞
Robbie I’m a pink, purple and white flower lover too, and my husband loves red. So every now and then I will do red I guess it’s only fair lol
I’m in Texas and have a purple vitex It’s a great plant
Wow that sedum looks so good. Did I miss what that silver plant is next to the sedum?
Good morning!🌻🐝
Love your choices
The old lady may not want help but if she does that would be nice..
The sedum looks beautiful with the black stems of the hydrangea.
It really does!!!
Nice.
Love the vitex trimmed up. Nice job!
Hey Robbie, ya know what else is red? Kniphofia, lol! (You’re welcome, @digplantwaterrepeat)! I’m pretty sure Monrovia has several of them too… 😜
But in all seriousness, have you considered a camellia? I find the red ones actually very pretty as they’re a bit more on the cool side of red. Regardless, I love how your garden is coming along- it’s gorgeous!!!
I rarely plant 5 plants together. The sedum looks georgeous. I usually plant a max of 3 since I have a smaller garden.
I have ready good luck with ivy geraniums. Same bloom but no smell. You should give it a try.
Head out for more coleus for that spot…one is lonely ;)
Have you seen P Allen Smith’s vitex at Moss Mountain Farm? He has 4 planted around a courtyard and it is stunning!
This might be controversial, but you could put a stake near it, let it vine up and then discreetly treat it with chemicals. I have also had good luck with boiling hot water poured at base of plant .
Morning Robbie. Love the new plants. Congratulations on baby bird!
So nice of you Robbie! great plants addition.
Freya stealing the show again! ❤
Good morning, Robbie. I have a similar coleus, and I bought the same sedum for my nieces front yard. Looking forward to see it bloom in her garden and yours!
Love that bush! The base is so interesting
The Monrovia Sedum are gorgeous!
Is Vitex the same as a Chaste tree? I have two Chaste trees that I’ve been pollarding for the last few years. I really like the look, but it’s a lot of work to keep them pruned! They’re basically big weeds here in Alabama! 💚💐
😎😃
I too, love my Vitex! Mine are blue, but I love your pink blooms!
Good morning Robbie! Beautiful plants!
Morning Robbie!!! Happy planting…❤
Hi Guys, I love the contrast of the sedum with the hydrangea!! I also zoomed in cuz I thought you had a trellis in the hydrangea….nope, just those black stems😮❤!!
Good morning Robbie and Brent! Very sweet of you to think of Brent 😍 Thank you for sharing this info on the Vitex. I love it limbed up 😊 I have been looking for a tree for my small front yard, and I think it would look great with my 2 Black Diamond Crepe Myrtles Purely Purple that grow like 12 H ×12-15 W. Does the Vitex grow pretty fast? Everything looks so pretty.
I LOVE a deep rich red, probably more of the blue red and not the orange red, but I don’t have any red in my garden. I may have to change that I still have quite a big section to figure out. 💐💚🙃
Team red scored for you today Brent 😊🥰
You guys think if your older neighbor lady would like a little bit of a garden makeover?
A garden make-over is a great way to present the idea to his neighbor!!! I love before and afters!
Love the vitex!
No red roses???
Hi Robbie, just curious what kind of tree that is behind you with the feathery leaf texture at 3:35. Thank you! By the way love the new sedums!
How do you find the time to do all of this work since you still work at your job?😊
Can you link the spike mats.
Where do you get the spike mats? My grand dog-teenager white lab…gets into everything-these would be perfect
Where do you get the spike mats? I have a problem with our Golden Retriever who walks through all the gardens and tramples everything.
New tshirts “Visit our Garden, and that’s NOT my Rooster” 😂
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Be careful not to overwater the sedum. I over love them and they struggle all the time. lol
Think he would love a red forest pansy tree
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
💙🪴👍🏻🪴💙
Ahhhh true love😂. Planting some colour for you... Burgundy but let's call it red for you Brent😂❤
So Robbie why don't trim her trees. You can film it plus it would be a really kind thing to do😊
