I never used to be a morning person either until I got a job where I had to be to work at 6 am. I soon began to love the mornings, watching the sunrise, the peaceful quiet with not many people awake yet, the perfect temperature with not much wind. It's a beautiful time of day for me now! Love it!
Same here. I never dreamed I’d have a job where I had to be at work at 6am. Years ago I would have looked at them like they were crazy! lol)

I've begun to realize that southern heat is similar to Northern cold in that we prefer to be indoors to keep our body temperature healthy. It's so unfortunate that it occurs in summer in the south. ...love the pot feet.

Robbie, why don't you switch the Brunnera pot with the boxwood, bringing the brunnera pot forward in the middle , forming a bit of a triangle...both boxwoods would then be "framing" your seating area...nice

Okay Robbie, the big question did Brett like his red plants? I think both containers turned out great! And I hope you can get the pot feet you want ordered! This was so smart sun on one side, and same pot but shade at the other! I am currently, studying my front porch for times of sun and shade. I have fun Southern expose and afternoon Western sun. The gardens are looking so good!
Love the caladiums I have tried three times to grow from bulbs and they just don’t come up so I’m gonna buy them already grown and put them in my garden because they’re just so stunning. They look like an elephant ear with color and I love elephant ears thanks robbie!!

They need heat to get started. Mine weren’t coming up either but I saw a video from another UA-camr that said you need a seed starting heat mat. I got one and sure enough they all started popping up!
Good morning Robbie. The two containers are gorgeous. There is one thing I noticed and that is when you planted the large plant in the second container, it looked like you covered the crown of the plant. I have always been taught and told to not cover the crown as it can kill the plant/shrub. Just wondering. Enjoy a job well done.

Hello Robbie … good morning ☀️💐I may have missed something but why didn’t you go under and up inside the pot with the topiary… with the drip tubbing?
Those containers are perfection!😍 Also $13 for the FoxFarm soil?? I'm thinking it might be worth the hour and 45 min drive for me to pick some up. The only decent stuff I can get here in Davis is the EB Stone, which is ok, but I don't love it. I've been ordering either the Espoma or the FoxFarm, both of which are very pricey.
I found Fox Farm soil for $13 in a small irrigation shop in Modesto. At a garden center across town, it was $26! Needless to say, the irrigation shop has a new regular customer. They also carried some great fertilizers, including Fox Farm, and are so helpful with my questions about drip supplies. A Master Gardener shared that irrigation suppliers are the best source for drip as long as you go after the early morning rush of landscapers. Finding Fox Farm products there was a lovely surprise.
Which soil do you like better out of happy frog & ocean forest? I haven't tried happy frog but I have tried ocean forest and for me it retained to much water. Side note... I used it for my indoor plants, haven't tried it outside yet.
How is your Arbravities doing behind your couch. I wanted to grow those but Jim Putum said I could not in Texas. But if yours grow well maybe he is wrong. I am going to keep checking with you so take care of them please! 😊

Robbie, there is a perfect place near you for sale. I wish you could get it, 20 acres and an historic house. Many of my classmates back home in Indiana are farmers and some own land that farmers pay them to plant every year. Two friends have 50 acres each and one has over 200 that developers want and she will never ever sell. You could do that too. The planters are both gorgeous. Did we expect anything less?
