That would drive me nuts. I wouldn't trust the scope, I'd replace it with whatever is on your best shooting rifle, I'd check the mounts, group it again. If it still threw fliers I'd crown the muzzle then bed the action. If that didn't work I'd have a benchrest barrel put on that puppy. Fun to watch, thanks for the video!
I have been shooting competitively for almost 20 years. I put Eley Benchrest through my anschutz and had similar results. I have a good luck with eley target, team, match and tenex. I have also had a lot of great lots of eley and a lot of bad lots too. Another factor you will have to find is what kind of ammunition shoots consistently through the barrel. Any lapua brand ammo through my barrel with have quite a few flyers into the 9 right on a NRA A-23-5 smallbore target when I’m shooting consistent 10’s and X’s.
Great video. Yeah, some guns are really picky on ammo. My winchester 52 would not shoot Remington at all. Horrible, might have well thrown rocks. I wish I had some of my older gun I had in the past. My winchester shot great. My Anshutz was a one hole shooter. Well, I have bought a Kimber government 82 and a match nordic 16 inch upper 22lr. I just got both of these and will see how they shoot. Hi Big Guy. Your results with Eley Sport are better than mine. In fact I don't have one rifle that will do much more than regurgitate this junk. I bought a brick of this stuff about 6-7 yrs. ago and still have 4 boxes left. I guess I'll take them to the grave!! I really like your Lithgow LA101. She's a beauty. God bless sir.

That Lithgow bolt sounds smooth as butter. ... As far as shooting with the readers, for me my readers messes up the parallax. If I can dial the reticle to sharp focus with the diopter, and forget the readers, I do much better. But if you cant see the reticle clearly any other way, a man's gotta see the reticle !
Freelands sports has a pretty good selection of Eley. My Begara shoots Eley Team, Tenx and a couple others really well but the lights out killer in it is Midas+ and Wolf extra match. Thanks for the video and did you see what that one eyed guy in Texas got?!!
Might be all gone from the distribution channels and they are not making it anymore. Good luck on finding something else that shoots good in that Classic Remington.

Man, that wind in the bushes behind you looks like it would be torture to get small groups. Is that the wind shaking the targets around?? If so, how do you aim ??
Has anyone tested the Eley pistol x, I haven't seen a video on UA-cam yet testing it. I will provide a couple boxes if you'd like to test it sometime. Great videos I really enjoy watching clean fun content.
If I have enough ammo left I will see if I can pull this off. Had to do it with the Lithgow as the person that supplied some of the ammo requested the Lithgow.
The only Eley I've tried was Target and Club, in my CZ 457 Varmint MTR. It didn't like the brand. I have several types of SK ammo that I'm getting ready to try. I hope it does better.
@@Dayattherange I quit using all flavors of SK. I would have 1-3 flyers in every box of 50. Check out the bullet weights on a precision digital scale. I would have two weight groups that were fairly close in weight, followed by 2-4 bullets that were a good bit heavier.
@@Dayattherange I use Eley Benchrest Precision in my Bergara, Savage Mk2 TR and 10/22 with a Feddersen barrel. I bought several thousand rounds of a certain Lot # EBP from Killough. I have a couple of additional bricks that also shoot well. I have another brick on the way from a different vendor. BTW my 10/22 loves Eley Force. I am sure you know that a military sniper cannot have cold bore flyers.
@@joed3264 Joe it is one of the reasons I do not shoot cold bores off target. Honestly I have done it in a few videos but it did not seem right to me. Go figure old habits hard to break. Even in regular qualification you got no cold shots.
My Lithgow seems to shoot Ely ammo better than your rifle. And, my cold bore shot is usually pretty good. But, that is the the way they shoot. thanks for the video

@@jimdavis9546 So it was being imported by Legacy Sports. Well Legacy came out with their own 22LR Howa 1100 and stop importing the Lithgow 🤬🤬.I got an email from them saying they have an importer for Canada now but not one for the US but was still working on it.

I found the Eley Sport shot really well in my REM. 541s. Can’t seem to find it anywhere now.

Henry they all have different lubes? To the feel the only one that felt different was Eley Sport and Semi Auto Benchrest

Have you thought about having the rifle Cyro treated to see if it will cure the cold shot problem.
I think it just does not like the ammo. Looking back at some of my previous video's SK Pistol Match, Fiocchi 320 and a few others no cold bore flyer.
The group at 8:30 in the video was interesting. Two of the five rounds had a hiccup when feeding, and they both were the two fliers.

No that is the target 6 to 11mph winds as I pointed out.
