In this tutorial I will show you how to create a portable Windows USB flash drive or external HDD. You'll be able to plug this drive into any computer an use your own Windows installation off of your USB drive. This will work for Windows 11,10, 8.1, 8 and 7.

I used AOMEI wintousb and it took my w7 pro iso and installed w7 home basic. Does not have features I want and will not let me install updates. Do I need a different wintousb tool? And how to get it to be uefi?

You have to copy every program you need out there it is like Windows PE (Preinstalled Environment)

Version 8 doesn't allow to install windows 7 Pro nor would it allow to install the Home edition on a 16Gb drive. Insufficient space error . Kinda crap, trying to force you to buy the pro edition. I would not recommend.
