Absolutely a game changer! I would tell my husband I don't understand the Bible. I need it in chronological order and then I need it explained. The Bible Recap is an answer to my prayer that I really didn't even pray! God knows my heart and He knows what I need and He met me where I was!! Thank you Tara Leigh God is truly working through you to help so many people like me!! I still have several days left and it's taken me well over a year to go through the entire Bible but don't be discouraged if you fall behind. Tara-Leigh will even tell you it's OK. At age 53, grew up in church. Gave my heart to Him at age 2, at a youth camp, where my dad was the coordinator. I’m reading the Bible through for the first time in my life. I just completed day 140. ❤
I found Tara Lee three years ago when I was stuck in the hospital with no visitors due to COVID. Please try reading the Bible in a year. This is an awesome experience. I got my mom into it.
There was a guy in the church that I used to attend and whenever he would be brought to tears of joy or lift his hands in praise, I would think, “man I wish I had what he had!” It took me longer than I care to admit that I do have what he has…the Holy Spirit in my heart and a saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
This is what I am teaching at the moment. I meet so many Christian’s who read books about the bible yet never read the bible. When I ask them how they know the books are correct they say , ‘well the books mention Jesus and God’, to which I reply, ‘but how do you really know they are correct’, and this is when they can’t answer. The old devil will do everything to stop us read ‘God’s word’ because it is what it is - God’s word! It’s how He speaks to us. Thanks for this Kirk - from Scotland 🏴
Fantastic!!! HUGE Follower of Tara Leigh!!! LOVE The Bible Recap!!! I enjoy reading the Bible every day thanks to her!!! May our LORD bless you both! ❤
Boy did this hit home for me. I’ve been struggling lately (not the first time) with my salvation. Her sorry rang so true. Grown up in church. They looking for self instead of God had me avoid scriptures bc I was afraid. This is a totally new view. Thank you for being honest and sharing.
Changed my life when 6 yrs ago I began a Bible plan to read the WHOLE Bible. Two Testaments/One God!!✝️💟 If you don’t know The Word, you don’t know The Lord.
My Life story! God burns BOTH ends of the candle😘. How better to walk in the midst - good OR bad, actors, play your role! Unconditional TRUTH. Love You!💝💯♾️😍
Wow! This was from the Holy Spirit! This is exactly what my husband and I were discussing this week...we need to stay in God's word but also need to commune with Him. We need a relationship with Him. My relationship with the Lord has truly strengthened my faith and seen me through hills and valleys. He is truly my source of everything. Thank you Kirk and Tara for this. God bless. ❤🙏🏼
The example Tara-Leigh uses is gold... one would only really want to read the book on someone that they are already interested in. No one needs to hear that the Bible is the answer if they haven't had any good interactions with people who truly know God.
“Instead of burdened by a to-do list, buoyed by looking at God’s character” - I love that!! I think Christians today are too quick to jump to application, without understanding what they’re actually reading. I love her desire to turn the focus from self to the Lord! 💛
She's right on point. For the last few weeks I've been going through the Gospel of Matthew basically a verse at a time. I'm finishing up chapter 7 at the moment, but that's not what I want to talk about. Kirk you have someone in your life that your praying for. I think that's great, but healing isn't always the point. I recently hurt my back and my neighbor upstairs had recently asked her to pray that the payment for 3 different credit card accounts would make it on time. She overnighted them in plenty of time, but they just didn't seem to be getting there. We prayed and she found out they arrived. Little by little I've been sharing with her, and now that I hurt my back she's more open to talk to me about Jesus. I know some people who would say, "God should heal you." Why? I'm just a clump of dirt that He loved enough to die for, and if He went through all that pain so I could know Him, I can go through this pain so my neighbor can also know Him.
What a real encouragement. Thank you Kirk, and your team, for bringing Tara on and allowing her to walk through the Scriptures in a way many of us miss, myself included. I don't know how many times I have heard or uttered the words "it's about relationship with God", know that that is true, yet still read the Scriptures like a to do list. God has been working on me over this last year while I have been in the deepest valley in my life. He is so gracious in giving me a deeper understanding of Him and the world I live in. Today's message is another gift from Him through Tara and Kirk, as an important reminder that God is calling us to come along side Him, in order to gain an accurate and Godly perspective that we lack on our own.
I am in the process of reading The Bible Recap, and Oh my gosh! I am enjoying everyday of it and look forward to sitting and wondering what I am going to learn that day. Thank you to Tara-Leigh and her staff for putting this together for those of us (me) that want to get in God's word and just don't know where to start. I've accepted Christ when I was 33 years old and I am now 56 and reading the whole bible for the first time. I am so grateful! God is SO good! and He is where my joy is!
When I listened to the Bible from my app on my phone and did not put into perspective who HE is, I too found that I was not happy with the Bible. Thankfully God reminded me of who he is. Kirk, love your content and channel.
Wow - she was me! I grew up in a Christian family, liked God less after reading the Bible (but still a follower). Came away from Bible reading feeling like a failure, which made me hesitant to keep up with it. Felt like a daily scolding. I just started the recap a few days ago. I like this new frame of mind - what does this passage tell me about God? It makes sense. If it were all about rule-following, he could’ve given us the 10 commandments and been done with it. Plus, he knows we are “but dust”, badly in need of mercy and grace. Change is hard, and this all sounds too good to be true (like grace!) but I’m giving it a go. 👍😄
Having gone through The Bible Recap last year and going through it this year, I love this interview. Kirk does a great job of restating and putting another perspective on what TLC is constantly sharing: Go find God, not yourself. But, the beautiful paradox of doing so is that you find your true self in God. He is where the joy is! :)
Great reminder: HE is where the joy is! And each of us will have our own ah-ha monent where the truth moves from our head to our heart; real relationship; knowing him and his love beyond "facts" or "truths". One help in this for me was keeping a thankfulness journal. Another was attending a spiritual retreat where the activities and people were to represent God's love to me so that I could actually "feel" it!
I've been using Ms. Cobble's Bible Recap since 1/1/2023 & I have learned so much more about who God is that I had not learned in my previous 35 years of reading the Bible.
Thank you so much Bible Recap and everyone involved in it. You have changed my life in the way I study the Bible. God bless you more and never stop what you're doing because you are changing a lot of people's life🙏
I’ve come to love reading the Scriptures after listening to Skip Heitzig (Calvary Church NM) The Bible From 30,000 Ft. He moves through the Bible quickly highlighting major points, explaining the language translations, describing the culture past and present, and tying in the Old Testament to the New Testament. Now, the scriptures flow easily and don’t seem so random.
I am using The Bible Recap this year to guide me through the Bible during my devotional time. Reading the Bible chronologically has helped me to understand its content more fully than I have ever experienced before. I have tried reading the M’Cheyne devotional reading plan, where you’re reading four different books of the Bible each day. While I was still enriched through that experience, reading it chronologically, helps me to understand how God is working through one storyline at a time. I feel I’m able to delve deeper into God‘s word this way. The podcast that you provide, that gives an overview of that days reading, has been extremely helpful. Thank you so much Tara-Leigh Cobble for devising this daily devotional opportunity.
I have been doing reading this read with her! I am 60 and said some of the same things before I started. But I have to say I am seeing God’s word in a whole new way, eyes opened!!!! After reading and then going to UA-cam for her Bible recap and then God shot I am wow!!! I see things in day to day living so differently, I see more God shots in my daily life more then ever before. Truly amazing I pray I continue this every year. Because He truly is where the joy is and you find Him in His word! Whew I love it! I am so thankful that a friend brought me to her at the end of December so I could do this with her. I feel so very blessed. I usually get a word for the year and this year was commitment and discipline and after my friend invited me to do this I thought hmmm yep definitely will take discipline and commitment to do this! God is so good!
Tara Leigh has been a blessing to me! Going through the Bible Recap and it's helping me so much. God has put her in my path for sure. Looking for God in the scriptures has really been eye opening.
I love Tara-Leigh Cobble and The Bible Recap! The "YouVersion" Bible App has the reading plan. The Bible Recap podcast, with Tara-Leigh Cobble, is on UA-cam and Spotify. I have read through the Bible in a year, 2022, with Tara-Leigh, Year 4, The Bible Recap, and I'm doing it again in 2023, Year 5, The Bible Recap. Today was Day 114. I'm So happy that the plan, was introduced through my church here in South Carolina, NewSpring Church!!!💚✝️🙏🏼📖
I love TLC! This is my 2 time through the entire Bible with BibleRecap plus 1 through just NT. I love this process. It's the best I've done. This conversation with Kirk & Tara Leigh is a great synopsis of why & how of the process works. I encourage everyone to do this. It will change your life!
Both of these believers are reaching more people by sharing their faith! I’m in Deuteronomy for the second time. Tara-Lee has helped me understand The Bible and God more than ever. My hubby and I look forward to our time at night reading the Bible.
I’m so happy I seen this. I enjoyed seeing her personality and to learn more about her. Waiting on The Bible Recap to show up on my door step and I am so excited to receive it. ❤️
I'm so glad my Bible study group introduced me to the Bible recap. It is life changing. Well said, Kirk. The trials right now will all work out for good in a later chapter of my life.
Does your group do the weekly discussion guide for the Bible Recap? I’m considering that one for a group but want to look into some reviews before committing. We are currently doing the Bible Study Together-Chronological Cross Reference Bible reading plan, and really like it. But I think the group discussion questions would be nice!
I always ask the Holy Spirit to help me understand what I am reading the Bible, I need His help to show me how to know Him better & apply it to my life.
I recently heard someone (either John Bevere or Bobby Connors) say, “We’ve become way too familiar with the God we barely know.” Thank you for this timely video. 🙏🏼❤️🔥
26 And now, my beloved brethren, I would that ye should COME UNTO CHRIST, who is the Holy One of Israel, and PARTAKE OF HIS SALVATION, and the power of his redemption. Yea, come unto him, and offer your whole souls as an offering unto him, and continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; AND AS THE LORD LIVETH YE WILL BE SAVED.♥♥♥
I’m reading The Bible with Tara Leigh and using her Bible recap with each day’s reading. Tara Leigh’s recap makes the scripture that I read each day understandable and she helps to connect all the dots. For the first time in my life I hunger for God’s word. I highly recommend this tool to help anyone who seeks to know God, because He is where the joy is.
Thank you Kirk and TLC for bringing such clarity to God’s Word! The Bible Recap has really brought about a huge paradigm shift to my perspective on reading the Bible! God wants to reveal Himself and His Word says that if we seek Him with all our hearts we will find Him✝️ You guys are such an inspiration❤️ Blessings~
I have been reading through the Bible every year for the last six years. I have to admit it was a task. I started the Recap at the beginning of this year with TLC. I still wasn't getting it. The God Shot was confusing to me. I didn't get it. After watching this interview, the muddy water is clear. I will look for the God Shot in every word I read from today forward. Thank you for clarifying. God bless you for helping me see.
AWSOME! Because He is AWSOME! Thanks for inspiring my walk with God. Look forward to recap each day and growing in love, wisdom and knowledge of God! Yahoo! PTL! Thank you, thank you ❣️👏☝️👍🤩💫🥰
Amen I thank God for guiding me to slowly read the Bible. He’s truly merciful and so gracious upon each and everyone of us. Having a real relationship with him and he will answer your questions we just have to pay attention to his answers through his words 🙌🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽✝️❤️
Thanks to Bible Recap my 78 year old husband, who pastored for 40 years, is reading the entire Word for the first time - an answer to my prayers!!!
Is Bible Recap the name of a website?
A pastor who never read the whole Bible?😮
What? A pastor for 40 years and NEVER read the entire bible. WOW! I wonder how many more are like him? How can a pastor be able to refute those who contradict scripture if they themselves have never read it all? The problem we have in many churches in this nation, is that many are not qualified to hold that position of sheperd-teacher. The bible does give the qualifications, and if someone does not have them, they should never be put in a leadership position over God's beloved sheep. I am glad he is finally doing it, but does he understand that he should have never been a pastor to begin with? God's people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. I hope he realizes that he was in disobedience to God all those years, and he truly repents. He could still speak to current pastors who are doing the same thing and rebuke them.

I grew up around Seattle, with ZERO church background. I got saved in 1980 at age 24. I had been raised on books (but no Bible), so I had always been an avid reader....but when I began reading the Bible, it was like nothing I had ever experienced....it is quite literally the Sword of the Spirit.

This is a spirit filled moment for me. Called to do this.
I felt the same way TLC, I’m rereading now and starting to see “the joy”. 🎉
Love Bible Recap and TLC! ❤️
Bless you Kirk. I am currently following Tara Leig with the bible recap. 😊 I am really enjoying reading my bible now. ❤
Excellent!! Thank you for having her on. !!
My first year doing the bible recap so grateful. 🧡
Yes,let’s be lights in our communities with God’s Word as our foundation!
Thank you Tara-Leigh for The Bible Recap. I love it!!
John 14:26 & 16:13
Thank you Kirk and TLC for bringing such clarity to God’s Word!
The Bible Recap has really brought about a huge paradigm shift to my perspective on reading the Bible!
God wants to reveal Himself and His Word says that if we seek Him with all our hearts we will find Him✝️
You guys are such an inspiration❤️

Same here I’m looking for God daily

What a great interview. Thanks Kirk. I love the Bible Recap.
I am so grateful for TLC and the Bible Recap. This is my first year doing this, and I finally am seeing who God is and feeling closer to Him.
A timely word!! God bless you guys!
This was an excellent message!! Thank you! God bless! ❤🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️
I love TLC! I am currently reading through her plan, and her help through it all is such a blessing. As always, Thank you Kirk!
Yahoo! PTL! Thank you, thank you ❣️👏☝️👍🤩💫🥰
Great interview and awesome points.
Amen!
Thank you for your humility to accept your faults.”Thy Word is a Lamp unto my feet and aLight unto my path”Psalms 119:105
A better way of reading the work to be able to strengthen my relationship with God - Love This!!!!
I love this episode , God bless everyone
Amen I thank God for guiding me to slowly read the Bible. He’s truly merciful and so gracious upon each and everyone of us. Having a real relationship with him and he will answer your questions we just have to pay attention to his answers through his words 🙌🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽✝️❤️
