I'm in Sheffield and this video is great, even though the graphics on this game don't really resemble Yorkshire at all. So interesting hearing your observations of driving/public transportation in US vs UK.
When you back up in a 18 wheeler it always goes the opposite direction. If you turn the steering wheel right, your tail will go left and vice versa. Remember you have a long tail. Take your turns wide! Hope it helps 😉

I *love* driving in games. I used to drive around in DayZ offline mode for fun and to learn the map. I also used to ride the bike everywhere in the Barnyard game way back on the PS2 and I purchased Euro Truck simulator on a Steam sale recently and am having a blast playing it! 😎👍
I remeber the ats video you did you said you had the possibility to use a hotas flight controller. You should try it i drive trucks on ats and ets2 with a thrustmaster t flight hotas one my stick is set as steering with buttons for horns and lights and the throttle is the gas and brake with center being idle. You can get really precise gas and brake inputs with your hand. Honestly it feels like you're driving a tesla semi in drone mode with one lol. I set up buttons on the throttle for shift up and down on the back blinkers hazards lights and igniton on the others.
I hope Miss Vindicat behaves better than some of her fellow club members. But anyway, on the map the countries in light grey are in DLC's, the countries in black aren't available at all. And I think Hamburg is big because you can select it as a start location for jobs. I noticed this recently as well. I have most of the DLC's and both Sofia and St. Petersburg were bigger and I could choose them as start locations for jobs even though I hadn't visited them yet. And apparently the eco driving upgrades are generally considered the worst by the community. Which might be true because money really isn't an issue in the game, especially because for a large part of the early game you'll be doing quick jobs anyway so it's not you who's paying for it anyway.
Eco Driving basically extends your truck's range. I never add points to it because it reduces the amount of times I stop at gas stations and stuff, which is a big part of the experience to me. Long Distance is the best, in my opinion.
@@thearousedeunuch I made the mistake to max Eco out before investing in much else. So now I'm slowly investing in other things. At least I have all different job types unlocked. And I think 3 points invested in distance.
@@generaldreagonlps6889 In that case, keep on investing in Long Distance and you should be set. I recommend getting workers when you can. They will lose money at first, but they eventually get their stuff together. Also, World of Trucks jobs are more profitable.
@@thearousedeunuch I have five drivers now with that cheapeset Iveco truck. And personally I'm just doing quick jobs and discovering all cities. But personally my current upgrade plan is to upgrade the valuable/expensive cargo jobs to lvl3 and the urgent jobs as well. After that I was planning to fully upgrade long distance, or maybe upgrade it one point earlier before than maxing it out.
I am a huge fan of trucks in real life, so I bought ETS2 for trying it on my PC. It's a bit hard to drive for the first time but you get used to it. Also you can reconfigure your keyboard in the settings menu to make it easy for you. Thank you soooo much for all your awesome and relaxing ASMR videos 🥰. (My favorites are the soft spoken or lo-fi) Best regards.

ATS is a better, more beautiful game IMO. Much more diverse landscapes, biomes, and sky boxes. Euro Truck 2, though still good, is mostly just alot of grass and trees.
So weird in New Jersey we can’t get our licenses until 17. I remember I got my permit at 16 and could only drive with parents and then 17 I was allowed to drive provisionally and 18 it was legit full license lol

Literally ETS 2 is older so of course it will be kinda bad. The original map is not that good but with the DLCs its so much better.
