    So I'm confused. If I don't sign up for the study.com $199 plan, how do I get college credit? The plans say $39, $59, and $199 plan but only the $199 plan say "earn college credit" . if i do the $39 plan how do I earn credit? Thanks!

      c red Only the $199 plan will allow you to take the final tests through study.com for credit. The other two levels of plans are just for studying. You can make it a lot cheaper on yourself by using the less expensive plans to study all the modules, and then only do the $199 plan when you're ready to test for credit. That is what I've done so far.

      are they all requiring proctored exams in order to get the ACE credit?

      Do you flip back and fourth between plans to do the final testing? How does that work?

    Erm study.com said Jane Eyre by Austin lol that is someone who is even charging to educate! What a farce.

    Is modern state study material enough for humanity CLEP?

  • @twangel46

    An educational facility should not be saying the most famous novel ever was written by Austin instead of Bronte. What offends me is - popular enough I think Austins books are rubbish whereas the Bronte’s were very gifted.

    Wow, 100 questions...is that the standard for the courses for credit?

    Hey man, where were you going to write the EXAMS for the study.com course since you only registered for the $40 per month plan, vs. the $200 plan. Because the $200 plan allows you to write 2x exams per month, which is kind of economical or $80 per exam. Usually proctor fees are $60-80 anyway, right!! And you have to drive, pay parking! Why did you go to the $40 plan vs. the $200 plan?
    Btw: Love the Videos, Nathan. Keep up the great work!

      Michael Lumley Are we saying the same thing when you say "write an exam" and I say "take an exam"? If so, I use the $40 month plan to do all of my studying, and then I upgrade to the $200 plan when I'm ready to take an exam. I've taken a few study.com exams now and that has probably saved me some money, since with my job it's taking me a lot longer to study.
      Thanks so much for the encouragement man! Glad you're liking them! I need to post some newer updates, I've had some stuff happen! Just changed positions in my company so I should have some time to dig back into this!

      Nathan Young
      There is a third party way to "take exams" other than using study.com, and of course there would be a pay as you go, proctor fee.
      I mean, for DSST's and CLEPS, you use a Third party proctor exam service, right? Apparently you can do the same for study.com courses, though I might have misunderstood that those courses are TECEP study.com courses, which is obviously directly with TESU.
      Anyway, I'm looking for a Third party that administers Study.com courses on a pay as you go basis. So I guess you haven't heard of anything, eh?

      Michael Lumley I would recommend using the middle plan and taking the CLEPS or DSST’s like I am the exams are about $100 each depending on how much of a few the college near you charges. I am using study.com to study for CLEP’s

      Please disregard my question above. You answered it here. Where do you take the tests when you upgrade? I'm in the beginning of my journey to finish my degree. This is wonderful to read. I'm looking forward to watching all of your videos

    I'm thinking of signing up. I have a bachelor's degree and want to get a master's in teaching from Western Governor's University. I need about 4 prerequisite classes to begin. Do you think the $200 plan is worth it? You said something about going with the cheaper plan and switching, should I just get the expensive plan and study really hard? It only lets you take 2 exams per month anyway...

    Will the proctored exam let me know which answers I got wrong/right when the results come back?

    • @NathanYoungLibrary
      @NathanYoungLibrary  3 роки тому

      Nope! They break the scoring for CLEPs down here, and the DSSTs are basically the same: clep.collegeboard.org/earn-college-credit/your-score
      Practice exams DO tell you, but official proctored exams, all you get is the score.

      Hey Ghiselle! Study.com offers SOME courses that are certified by ACE (American Counsel on Education) which are transferable to colleges for credit. Some of those colleges may be accredited. If you're on study.com you can see which courses they provide that are ACE certified, because they have a Blue Circle Ribbon next to the course name. (Here is a page where they list all of their "eligible for transfer" courses: study.com/academy/goal/transferable-credit/online-college-credit.html

      I think they took DM's away from UA-cam - hit me up via form on my website and I'll try to get back to you! Obvious warning - I'm SUPER busy with my company/family/etc now, but I still try to support people on this journey as much as I can!

    Wait, So if you do the class this way you don't have to submit the stupid speeches...you just do the theory?

    • @NathanYoungLibrary
      @NathanYoungLibrary  6 років тому +2

      karieltheone Turns out I was wrong. You DO have to submit the speeches. I posted my speaking test submissions on my channel so you can see what worked. I passed the test with those 3 submissions.
