I know that this video is old but For me it said fingerprint not recognized, if this continues restart your phone. so I restarted my phone and tried the fingerprint and nothing happened so I went into settings , onto lock screen settings and the option to add a fingerprint wasn't there. and i also looked up in settings fingerprints and security which I usually do to get onto fingerprint settings but it said no results found, any suggestions on what to do?
Soft reset by holding both volume keys down and power, then boot it up holding both volume keys and power. If it doesn't work there is a Google app that will back up your phone, then hard reset
I'm worried about messing things up....to compound those issues, I have the V35, a very weird niche stepchild of the V series that is SO niche it doesn't even have any actual repair videos, only stuff about the V30 pops up on google lol. But, people said it's apparently the guts of a G7 inside a V30 body? With additional ram I suppose and who knows what else... So do I need to follow a G7 video or a V30 video....and do I need a G7 fingerprint sensor or V30 one lol...urgh....it's served me well for over 2 years now (and was already a year old when I got it summer 2019 in great condition used) but the fingerprint sensor not working, literally all the used V35 being image burned, and new ones being the same cost as an open box G8X or for a little more I can get a new in box V50 all has me wanting a new phone...(hell, for a little more than that I can have a V60). ifixit doesn't even have v35 info....
Mine stopped after adding new battery. The battery must have been a mm thinner than the original. I just had to add some spacers on top of the battery. Now it has started acting up again, but a reboot fixes it. So, i think a software issue rather than a physical hardware issue.

My finger print doesn't work at all. It doesn't even come up in the settings to remove or add. I have tried reseting, rebooting, safe mode, and nothing. If i buy the replacement part for the scanner would it come back in the settings or whats your advise??????
Did you check the fingerprint sensor connector? The 9 metal connectors on motherboard that connect the scanner. If there's one missing or distorted, it will affect the fingerprint sensor.
@@EricWitrigs i tried a lot of stuff. Unfortunately only solution i found was a factory reset. The option for fingerpint sensor was back after factory reset
I just used a cleaning achohal on the scanner, and it worked

my fingerprint sensor stopped working. Can I reset it? the smart doctor app says sensor not responding reset the component.
Did you drop the phone before? Try to put some forces on the fingerprint sensor while use it, it could be the connection problem.
@@EricWitrigs Many Thanks you just saved me some money ! Pressing at back cover solved issue for me.
What was the liquid adhesive used to hold the sensor components to the cover?
It's B-7000 glue.

Is it still ip68 water proof after the fix?
No, the phone will not be waterproof after repaired.
It's not really waterproof anyway. Water still gets in via the USB port regardless of whether you have opened the back cover or not.
Does this not seem extremely difficult?
