Wow I used to work that duck pond back in the mid 90’s (Mike Vick era) and they feed at dusk every evening on spinner baits in the shallow water,, such fun memories!
Instead of driving to Salem's duck ponds, you should have hit Pandapa's Pond just past Blacksburg on 460. All 3 ponds are a hard fish because they're all so pressured. Pandapa's is the largest followed by VT and Salem's being the smallest.
12 and under? Whoops, won't be doing that again. There was a group of middle aged men fishing it at the same time as us. They must have not known either. Are there any signs?

You guys try Pandapas Pond yet? Seen some big ones swimming around also watch out for chain pickerel
Hunter has fished there, but I have not had an opportunity to get up there yet

@@JaredTuck there should be. Unless they have changed the law there in the past couple weeks. They stock it for the kids fishing rodeo every year.
