Same. Sounds kinda weird but it's real nice to see people so passionate about something like a cartoon show that they really care and worry for the characters. I really like seeing that about as much as seeing the show myself
Same. Though scary, it was artistically great, and it shows on how invested the audiences are. That investment is a measure on how great a narrative is.
If this isn't enough to get people invested, I don't know what will.

This reminded me of an alternate story that I once made up:
It was that then opening the Calamity Box nothing happened butt from the gems came 3 ghost silhouettes shaped like a frog,a toad and a salamander that bit the girls.
At the beggining it would be something like Spiderman that begins to be able to do things like jump very high and become stronger and more agile even being able to climb and swim fast,(later we would see them in P.E. class achieving feats imposible for girls her age)
But slowly they would begin to mutate,making Anne’s tongue lengthen and her skin would become slimy,Sasha would start to appear warts and swell her throat and Marcy would literally start to grown a tail
The rest of the story would deal with them trying to find a way to heal but time passes and they continue to deshumanize until the end they become anthropomorphic amphibian creatures but without consciusness.
Now the 3 beasts would fight each other or instincs.Later during the fight the 3 of them grabbed the box with their legs and that made the box go backwards causing the silhouettes ghoats to leave thier bodies and return to the gems and he trio of girls becoming human again but with the clothes destroyed and their traumatized minds.
Among other things we would see the girls in their rooms but sweating hard while we saw “something” of the color of gems that began to expand and permeate their cells even Anne say “!Ribbit! ¡Ribbit!” in her dreams like a frog,Sasha saying “Criac Croac” like a toad and Marcy saying “Wruah wruah” or whatever the salamanders do
Another thing is that Marcy would be crying and saying “Im sorry” as we watched her eyes stop being human,turning into salamander eyes…

I've rewatched this scene multiple times now, and now when I hear Marcy's screams of agony I feel nothing

I definitely know how Marcy felt with that helmet lowered on her head. There once was a very scary attraction at Disney, it was Stitch’s Great Escape. They had those very uncomfortable shoulder restraints that hurt sooo bad. I felt sooo uncomfortable with the restraints lowering on us…I had that same uncomfortableness Marcy had. The moment the helmet lowered, I got Stitch’s Great Escape flashbacks when the restraints lowered, I got so scared.
And before THAT was ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter, which is deliberately scary
This scene ranks as the nastiest one I've ever seen in an animated show. Period.

Im calling it now. Considering that neither andrias, the core, or marcy resemble the frog from the s1/2 intros. Im calling that andrias had all the most brilliant minds collected to store up enough knowledge and get someone smart enough to beat it. He needs anne because the calamity powers are most likely an integral part of the greater whole. Somone smart with calamity powers vs the greater evil would be awesome :)

Yeah I try to do videos on the best or most shocking parts of these shows
PLOT TWIST. the core doesnt look like that giant frog from the opening background soo the core isn't the night the night is something even worse and by the end of the show Andrias and the core turn out to be the good guys trying to stop the night and helping the girls.
