I’d really like to know who wrote that entire eulogy, it’s just so insanely real with it’s rambling and tangents that they somehow made engaging. Will Arnett deserved an Emmy for that 25 minutes of nonstop talking.

My dad just passed away a few days ago. A lot of the times with him I felt like Bojack in that first scene. And I’ve always vibed with this episode even before he passed. I can’t stop wishing I would’ve tried more, be the bigger person, forgive the faults of a father that didn’t have the proper tools to be emotionally available. But now it’s too late. He died alone in Mexico. Probably went a day before his sister found him. I wish we all could’ve been better. That we all just let go of shit. But now it’s too late. I didn’t even get a free churro.
“And now everything is worse” not talking about his actual state of being. While his mother was alive, even though he knew it could never happen, there was always some part of him that wished he could have the loving mother he always needed. With her death that dream is completely gone. Theres no point in wishing or dreaming anymore and even though they were just dreams, they still brought a modicum of happiness. Without those dreams, everything is worse, if only slightly.
This episode was a mastepiece. I appreciate you sharing with us how you relate to Bojack' eulogy suriving your parents and thinking on your father's last words. The 16th anniversary of my father's death was a few days ago but i never imagined there would be something important in his last words.
He was abusive, bi polar and an alcoholic. I'm sorry to hear about your own abuse going on growing up. Neglect in a situation like that can be hurtful.

I just binged the entirety of this show, and looking back, this season was amazing. It's full of very experimental, brilliantly executed episodes.
