Just recently saw something similar to this sequence from my coach. From a similar overlook position he grabbed the nearside arm in a similar way to break them down, but from there he took a deeper overhook and grabbed the tricep of the near side with that overhook hand. Great position to control through the finish from and makes for an easy transition to darce

This is great I always switch between whizzer, 3/4 Nelson, darce, 1/4 Nelson…
But I never thought to grab the undertook using the other arm and pommeling around my own “spacer”, so cool
I srsly love how simple the buzzsaw is with underhooks so really looking forward to no underhooks lol

Its funny how you say no one knows how to play no gi correctly, because I LOVE the situp guard in no gi. In both really. Situp guard is one of the most nuanced positions imo, would love more instructionals on that.

Andrew need too watch Neil Melanson he uses this a lot. Very effective and leads to a ot of different submissions. I would like to see if you could take some of his catch wrestling moves and evolve it for some nasty newer techniques.

I do this but more as a reflex Ive never really gave it thought but I usually quarter nelson it then replace my palm with my head and ill drive all my weight under their chin and try to choke them while pulling hard on the underhook and pull their bottom arm from under them, it that fails I just go for a oil check.
That grip switch speed though...
I hope our instructor is also using all these "sweet words" when doing demonstrations, lol

Catch wrestling coach down here showed is a similar sequence. That figure 4 on their head is powerful though. Leads to a brabo choke if you can pass
so my brain sees the move this way. 1.Opponent has thight Underhook = Create space by pushing the face (similar between wrestlers. Overhook Wrestler pushes on the face to place his forehead on the jaw of Opp. and escapes the Underhook. 2. Use reverse Underhook to create space to pummel in for ur normal Underhook

You are aiming at the wrong target here. Seriously. My girlfriend has zero problems with how we joke around in the videos. Maybe the context matters here. I'm talking to someone who I know for a fact is comfortable with it. If you're on the internet and that makes you uncomfortable, it says something about you. Don't take something out of context and apply it to a broad subject like all women or women equality. I'll keep standing up for women in BJJ and in general.
