New player tip... build your camp on the roads! Put your buildings along the road like its Main Street, and place your Travel Posts right next to your storage! That way you can transfer things FAST. Also dont get stuck in one area, the first tent area should be near the town, but you can re-locate buildings and build bigger settlements in other areas.
Hi. I agree with taking your time with Bellwright. It would seem that the game is meant to be played at a measured and considered pace, and not to be rushed. With respect to feeding the fyrd (Anglo-Saxon word for village army/militia), I typically will break them into units such as archers, sword and shield men, followed by Huscarls (those who wield large two handed axes). This gives me the ability to soften up attacking forces with arrows, before the enemy hits my shield wall (these troops are set to stay in place, not charge), I can then send in the Huscarls to attack from rear or side for maximum damage. The benefit of splitting my troops into groups is that it makes it very easy to feed them, as there is less chance of any individual fyrdsman not getting his snout into the trough. You can also get the fyrdsmen to deposit any loot that they may have collected from the battle field, into the stockpile etc. Yes, you can actually get the troops to loot the battle field if you so desire. Currently, I am greatly enjoying Bellwright and am curious to see where the Devs take the game. Be well.
I do this occasionally, but I find it difficult when you get ganked by a group of bandits or even when setting up remembering to send one group from "holding" to "charging", I have gotten beaten to death while my squad just sat there and watched before lol
Bro, you have not only the same exact field for my first settlement, but also the exact same bushes and stockpiles set up in a circle around them haha, I moved south I love it a lot more and I learned how important having storage all in one spot is to save a ton of time in walking and searching for crap! Good video man!!
Extra tip: you can liberate any village, they don't have a specific order. When you get into more advanced buildings and equipment, you will need specialized villagers to research better gear and buildings. Seek out villages that unlock weapons and armor first.
Each building itself also has a priority setting, I’m not sure if this prioritizes the building further than just having workers set to high priority the tasks associated with the building type
I think it's like a double priority system. You can set the worker priority, but also emphasize specific building priorities as well! You have probably also noticed some items being crafted have a priority level of like one item is more important to craft than another, etc.
If the + isn't there, there is a good chance your skill level is above or isn't where it should be to use those books. You'll need to seek the next higher tier of book to get that + back, hope this helps
So actually for this video, I used Adobe Premiere Pro! But typically I have always used HitFilm Express. Except when i was trying to edit 1440p video footage in HFE, it was lagging so bad so I tried APP and it worked with no issues
@@manoclocknews unfortunately it was software based lagging and anything but minor, it was like trying to edit video that you couldn't see, that's the extent of the lagging
I think they just use whatever bait is available to them, or if you leave a specific bait type in the Trapper's building they'll probably use that! In regards to a trap breaking, honestly, I just build more traps - I don't know if they repair them or not!
you can still dismantle the traps and they appear in your inventory if they break... didnt fix that yet. Freshly laid traps work better.. I just pick up and move a string of 6 traps, by morning they are all full.
Really? Double check. Usually at the bottom of that same Attributes page, there will now be a little circular clock ticket for X, Y, Z (whatever they are reading)
@OfficialDlonem yeah normally it will show food buffs and what ever going on but the books don't seem to work for me like when you read a book for your own character

Awesome tips! I saw the edit with the food, it's still a good tip more or less eating is essential

I live, laugh, love this - thanks for sharing!

I am excited to see formations added eventually!! Thank you for taking the time to comment. Rushing does not seem to be beneficial!

Love the " Mine, mine, mine " you added in, very clever and funny :D
Thank YOU - that just means I'm your sense of humor, so I'll be seeing you again around the channel ;-)

I appreciate all of this! That's so funny we share the exact same spot, especially with the stockpiles. Thanks for watching

This is true - it didn't occur to me others may not know there's no sequential order!
Thank you very much for sharing the group feeding tip, this helps me a lot! :)
Beyond happy to have shared that tip!
I would love a tutorial on how to stage the troops in battle. How to set the archers at the back and group my shield guys please 😊
Hey! Check out one of my latest videos, it's the closest thing we have to formations where you can control archers and sword troops separately
Super helpful stuff - subscribed and staying that way. Keep it up!
Thanks, will do!
how to travel fast with companions ?? is there a away that i can travel fast with them?
OMG that + is a life save. Hated having to chase them all down to get them to read a book!
lol the “mine mine mine” part got me giggling
I hired all the beggers and made them priority 1 delivery only. Easy to get stuff flowing that way.

#3 doesn't work any more. The food slot now moves to the 3rd slot when you eat now.
True! However, its still a good practice to use your best food last when dealing with certain situations :-)

Rimworld priorities are the same as in here with 1 being first and 4 being last in rimworld unmodded. But good tip either way.
Am I miss remembering Rimworld? No way LOL
Did they change the ui for books cause mine doesn’t have the plus mine has a book icon I click then have to click read
If the + isn't there, there is a good chance your skill level is above or isn't where it should be to use those books. You'll need to seek the next higher tier of book to get that + back, hope this helps
Nice these are some good tips
Thank you! Unfortuantely the one tip is a little moot now, however, its always a good tip to begin engagements when you have full food going
how did u have it back ward ? rimworld is the same 1 = urgent and 9 = bearly do it ...
Dude I have no idea LOL I'm absolutely not alone however
question. what program do you use for editing your vids?
So actually for this video, I used Adobe Premiere Pro! But typically I have always used HitFilm Express. Except when i was trying to edit 1440p video footage in HFE, it was lagging so bad so I tried APP and it worked with no issues
@@OfficialDlonem oh man. i use hitfilm. but i guess i only know basic options. definitely not how to solve some minor lagging.
@@manoclocknews unfortunately it was software based lagging and anything but minor, it was like trying to edit video that you couldn't see, that's the extent of the lagging
am I doing something wrong or the food buff trick does not work anymore?
Unfortunately the food buff trick does not work anymore, however, making sure you use the best foods is still a very important thing to do
How can your villagers change bait in a traps or change a trap then it will broke?
thx)

awesome video
Glad you enjoyed it! Hope to see you around the channel again
I thiught the food exploit was patched out?
Not to my knowledge? The only way it would have been patched is if it uses the time on the next food after the first one goes up
I believe it was, now if we consume it'll put near the end. At the very least, it's a good reminder to eat lol
i'm 16 hours into the game and i noticed prio building does not work for me UNTIL NOW :D this video showed me 9 is the lowest prio LOL xD
RIGHT? We were just like "Yes, the higher number holds more value = highest priority"
Interesting, coming off of playing Stranded: Alien Dawn I had it in my head the opposite way (1 being highest)
I find when i make them read a book it disapers and there is nothing showing they are reading fhe book

I could Swear i would top up something and still would go below it and it would say, you have reached max on that stuff lol T.T
I swear that would happen for me occasionally too. Ample storage may work..
thank. s!

I left the road stamina tip on the official discord and on a wombat gaming video and I have screenshots I would appreciate it if I could get credit
I've never been on the official discord, nor have I seen a wombat gaming video and I knew this...
Lol
I am not 100% sure the username I saw, but I put an @ in the description for you since that sounds likely :-)
