Say what you will about MTV, but all of these Unplugged concerts in this era are just so amazing. Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and Nirvana... all so good.
The LL Cool J one was crazy good too tbf. I remember being kinda knocked sideways by it. This PJ one might be my fav live performance ever though. Queen Live Aid & QOTSA Glastonbury with Grohl & Lanegan would duke it out depending on mood.
It's nice to hear someone who has done songwriting talk about the lyrics. Lots of analysis of vocal styles etc. It's nice to hear talk about the song and lyrics too, not just the performance.
Ive seen them in concert/ live 3 times, every time they were near perfect, They definitely have raised the bar,and kept it very high, for a band's ability to perform live
You mentioned the band all working together…yeah for real. That’s my favorite thing about them. They’re at their best when they’re all in it together banging it out together. Individually, great musicians, but together they’re a juggernaut. Check out the live versions of “Release” and “Rearview Mirror”. Stick with them, you won’t be disappointed.
A personal favorite Pearl Jam song is called, "Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town". It's a beautiful song and one of the most touching songs Pearl Jam ever recorded. This isn't a request, just listen to it for your own personal pleasure. It's right up your alley. :) Beginning Lyrics >>> I seem to recognize your face Haunting, familiar yet, I can't seem to place it Cannot find the candle of thought to light your name Lifetimes are catching up with me All these changes taking place I wish I'd seen the place But no one's ever taken me Hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away Hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away...
This is the second reaction I've seen from you. Both were fun to watch so I dropped a sub. I hope your channel continues to grow and I look forward to seeing more from you in the future!
Thanks for watching and subscribing! There are currently 3 reactors on this channel, Rob (me), Myles, and Pri Abrol. You seem to really enjoy Pri's reactions. Her reactions come out every Monday at 12pm Pacific Time. She currently has 9 videos up with 6 more waiting to be released. I'll be recording more of her videos later this month. In the meantime, I hope you continue to enjoy our channel!
Many in my generation consider Kurt Cobain the voice of our generation but I was always in the Eddie Vedder camp. Ten was an amazing album. Be sure to check out Hunger Strike from Mother Love Bone- the iconic Chris Cornell (RIP) and Eddie Vedder both sing an incredible song together.
I've learned from these reactor people the importance of suddenly stopping the music on and off throughout the song to talk. I do this now at parties and other social gatherings when a song is playing. Everyone really enjoys it. One person related it to being interrupted constantly during sex by a drunk roommate.

And then there's the Oasis unplugged lol. Liam fucked that one up
Growing up in the 80s/90s, so many Unpulgged performances were stellar but this one tops them all. Great reaction.
Eddie had a cold that day and still gave a great performance and I saw them live at DAR Constitution Hall with L7 in DC.

Layne blows both of them out if the water
@@erikoconnor9324 Love them all vocally, but yep. Layne was just ridiculous all the way around.
You would like oceans also
I love live music flaws and all. Not to say this is flawed at all. The emotion makes it so much better than the studio version for me 😊

LOL. Thanks for watching!
It's a reaction video, at points in a song a reaction is warranted, so they react. Want to listen un-interupted? Listen to your own damn playlist
@@stevehatcher7700 Lol! settle down scooter
He didn't want to do that song but they made him he was really huring
You should really check out Alice In Chains unplugged concert also, maybe start with ‘Down in a Hole’ I believe you’ll love it…:)
