@@Bimbo_MN However, that’s not to say the next 3D Mario can’t have its own original idea. I mean Super Mario Sunshine was quite unique as it’s worlds weren’t something I’ve seen in Mario games before and really not much since either. And Super Mario Bros Wonder was like stuff I’ve never seen in any past Mario game including Odyssey. It’s like the comparison of apples, oranges, bananas, and cantaloupes. By the way, I will admit I think the most similar prior game to Super Mario Odyssey that isn’t said title is Super Mario Sunshine. Just because they both take place in places that look like one I’d want to visit plus the distribution of NPCs in casual reasonable areas and secret linear levels hidden in main levels sometimes which you have to complete without the buddy being either FLUDD or Cappy.
In terms of games, we could be getting another Mario Party this year since its been 3 years since Superstars, and a Luigi's Mansion next year(It may not be a "Mario" game, but its still a part of that franchise). As for the 40th anniversary, I don't know If they'll do anything big, but if I were to take a guess, I'd say probably the next Mario Kart, A Wario World game, A Yoshi game, and maybe another 99 game based on World.
If the next Nintendo system launches at the end of this year, they will definitely have a Mario kart for it by the end of 2025. I doubt they would launch the Mario kart at the same time as the new system because I just wouldn't be very many systems out in the wild for them to sell a lot of copies of it. I don't even think they're going to have a 3D Mario game that launches with it. I think it'll be Metroid prime 4 And it will be a co launch on both the switch and whatever the next things called.
Yeah that’s why I said the mario kart game would come out in the 2nd holiday for the switch 2, so 2025. As for the launch title, Metroid isn’t as big as Mario or Zelda. And Zelda already got a sequel in 2023, and we haven’t had a new 3D Mario in 7 years, unless counting Bowser’s Fury then it’s 4 years
@@Bimbo_MN yeah, I'm agreeing with you on the Mario kart. It's definitely possible to have a 3D Mario game launch with the new system, but when is the last time we ever had that? Odyssey didn't even launch with the switch. The Wii u didn't get anything cool except that stupid "new" super Mario game. Gamecube launched would like Luigi Mansion I think. I don't know. I would be surprised if they have a new 3D Mario game only for the next system exclusively. Now if it does launch on it I feel like it should also launch on the regular switch as well. I mean there is like 130 million of them in the wild. Why would you not want to put it on that system and make a ton of money. But that means there's got to be some exclusive feature. That makes the new one cool. More than just slightly better frame rate and graphics.
@@Bimbo_MN N64 had Mario day one so it's not out of the question. I think it's a good possibility at launch day but on both systems I can't see them giving up 130m+ potential customers. Maybe the new system does something unique in the game to entice you to get the new system. On another note. You think Metroid 4 will still come to the Switch? Cause they promised it would haha. So if it would be weird to get that on both systems after launch day. I know Metroid doesn't sell nearly as well as Mario but the only 2 times a huge game came to both systems was Twilight Princess and Breath of the Wild and those were launch titles.
@@Ben-eh1qt I doubt they would put their next big title on the previous system. The point of a launch title is to not only showcase the system itself, but to convince people to buy it. Prime 4 I can maybe see, but not a 3D Mario.
im not sure if many people care for super mario party but i have a feeling people care about mario party superstars so i feel mario party superstars 2 is kinda better for me
If that’s the case, I’d like to see boards from GameCube and Wii entries as I feel like N64 Mario party boards had its run in Superstars. And maybe it can have more boards than ever. And maybe the biggest collection of prior mini games ever.
I want the Nintendo Switch 2 to play GameCube DS Wii 3DS & Wii U games online
Please bring back Mario Super Sluggers
Regarding what you said at 3:00, I thought Odyssey were the kind of things I wouldn’t find in the Mario universe.
Honestly me too. Watching it back idk what I was saying lol
