Love your story chubs, I had the best times of my life in Angeles last year. Totally eye-opening and life-changing, hard to describe how amazing it was. Despite all the wealth we have in the West, there are still too many downsides for us men. I will do my best with my business, so I can be completely free and location-independent for the rest of my life. I see myself living in the Philippines forever.

For a year and a half, I believe you're doing great here. I have almost 25 years here and have seen many come here, sometimes it works out, other times it does not. You have found a great place here and gone with the Expat market more than the short term tourist site. I would say keep doing what you're doing, you have a good setup here. I enjoy working with you here and doing the rental property stuff with you, and giving you some leads for other interesting videos. One thing maybe you are viewing wrong is the motorbikes, yes that work and get you around, but really not safe. The risks of accidents is too high, robbery is much easier on motorbikes vs cars. I did several years on them, but really now 100% with the cars.

Get lots of massage. It’s CUMULATIVE. I had osteosarcoma osteoblastic and many complications from radiation (6800rad aka 110,000+ xRays), and high dose chemo cocktails of level 10. Extremely high dose. I was given a year to live and zero hope survival after “treatment”. I moved to Thailand and lived at many spas. I sucked up 1,000hrs of massage and about 250hrs of saunas and did lots of fasting mixed with 80% raw fruit and veggies and small amounts of fish/beef mixed with herbs. Results? 22 years doing well past death ☠️ prescription. Massage is cumulative. You suck in 40 hours of massage in a month and your whole damn being is different. Positivity, breathing, immunity, vitality, desire to live, digestion, sleep depth, flexibility, and complexion. Good luck. Bro. REMEMBER TO REMAIN THE MAN. Just cus you love your chick… you NEED to be firm and mean aka say no. Say no in body and face and tone. Also you’ll need EXTRA social support. It’s protective. Don’t die from 10,000 paper cuts. Say no. Have a budget for money and for favors. Budget for time. Be demanding positive and stance. Women are women. Make yourself a priority and rule the roost…. she goes out very minimal but it’s important for her to be her peer group to socialize 👍 we cook very minimal 😬 Anne working 6 days a week and the mid-day hours only gives us breakfast together 😢

Well done, Amazing to see your comments of how life back in your home area were that it were so cold for more than half the year & you were essentially trapped inside because of the very cold weather outside, yet you may find the exact same phenomenon happening in Asia with its extreme heat for most of the year, where instead of being trapped inside because of the cold...you will be trapped inside because of the heat! because it is just so damn hot to do anything outside most of the time many find their main aim every day is to plan around having an Air Conditioned area to be in most of the time, some people thrive in the heat...many don't, have spent years in various countries in South East Asia & can only say the heat is debilitating & not healthy, give me a temperate zone over hot & humid anytime! good luck in your journey, though don't forget there are nice temperate zones in the world which are very economical to live in also if you get tired of the heat!

it took a while, a month or so to acclimate it can still be overwhelming in the Hot season 🥵 as long as you get out in it early rather than air con til noon and walk in to the oven 😜

Arrived in PI 4 days ago, been staying in BGC Manila. Leaving for Angeles tomorrow using P2P bus. Staying at La Grande for 5 nights, then off to Boracay 4 nights, then El Nido 4 nights. Then we have another week to plan. Love it here so far. Jet lag sucks.

I was stationed in Subic 86 to 91. Been to Angeles city about a dozen times during that period. I was in my 20's back then. Know the bar scene very well, partied all the time. 33 years has past, how has it changed since then, especially without the bases?

I am on a self journey to be honest... Im 32 years old, turning 33 this June. I am combat wounded from Afghanistan, so im retired out of the marine corps with va benefits as well. It may seem like im privileged but i have had a rough life mentally lately. I now have the opportunity to travel at such a young age. The Philippines caught my eye because of the peace. And by peace i mean the hospitality of the people. I was stationed in hawaii for 5 years so i do miss the island life. I plan on heading to Palawan, specifically Puerto princesa. Every nation has their issues. I'll see what the 30 day trial gives me but i am hopeful to see good things.

Like your blog. It's refreshing as far as blogs about Angeles go. Been living and working here with my family for year and half and as much as it's been enjoyable in many ways, it's also been incredibly frustrating in some ways. Going to a bank for example is like time travel. As soon as you step up to the bank teller, you've travelled back to the early 1990s. Anything to do with licencing, visas, or anything with Govt. or local Authorities in person is a half day exercise (at best). Driving can be frustrating and it's true that many on the roads here either don't actually have a licence or have paid someone to get a licence. Anyway, my time is up working here so we're heading to another country soon for my new job and I will miss some things here but I'm also looking forward to getting back to the 21st century in many ways too. Keep up the good work.

I thought about Cebu bk in the day but chose the younger more vibrant night life scene of Angeles City 👍 you could do Cebu and simply travel to AC for a week or weekend rather cheaply

Well done, Amazing to see your comments of how life back in your home area were that it were so cold for more than half the year & you were essentially trapped inside because of the very cold weather outside, yet you may find the exact same phenomenon happening in Asia with its extreme heat for most of the year, where instead of being trapped inside because of the cold...you will be trapped inside because of the heat! because it is just so damn hot to do anything outside most of the time many find their main aim every day is to plan around having an Air Conditioned area to be in most of the time, some people thrive in the heat...many don't, have spent years in various countries in South East Asia & can only say the heat is debilitating & not healthy, give me a temperate zone over hot & humid anytime! good luck in your journey, though don't forget there are nice temperate zones in the world which are very economical to live in also if you get tired of the heat!

You're living correctly. How did you adapt to the heat/humidity, especially coming the North?
it took a while, a month or so to acclimate
it can still be overwhelming in the Hot season 🥵 as long as you get out in it early rather than air con til noon and walk in to the oven 😜
Suanas are renouned for overall body health but living in one. Wow! That's a fantastic testament to the Phillipines that non filipinos thrive there. I now understand why they have such lithe/compact bodies. They're adapted to life there and we are not@@chubsDubC

Arrived in PI 4 days ago, been staying in BGC Manila. Leaving for Angeles tomorrow using P2P bus. Staying at La Grande for 5 nights, then off to Boracay 4 nights, then El Nido 4 nights. Then we have another week to plan. Love it here so far. Jet lag sucks.

I was stationed in Subic 86 to 91. Been to Angeles city about a dozen times during that period. I was in my 20's back then. Know the bar scene very well, partied all the time. 33 years has past, how has it changed since then, especially without the bases?
too many bars but the party scene continues 👍 prices are up but people pay especially tourist vacationers
@@chubsDubC I know Subic shut down the bar scene years ago, sounds like Angeles City kept it going. I'm assuming its mostly tourist from Europe and Australia.

I am on a self journey to be honest... Im 32 years old, turning 33 this June. I am combat wounded from Afghanistan, so im retired out of the marine corps with va benefits as well. It may seem like im privileged but i have had a rough life mentally lately. I now have the opportunity to travel at such a young age. The Philippines caught my eye because of the peace. And by peace i mean the hospitality of the people. I was stationed in hawaii for 5 years so i do miss the island life. I plan on heading to Palawan, specifically Puerto princesa. Every nation has their issues. I'll see what the 30 day trial gives me but i am hopeful to see good things.

Like your blog. It's refreshing as far as blogs about Angeles go.
Been living and working here with my family for year and half and as much as it's been enjoyable in many ways, it's also been incredibly frustrating in some ways.
Going to a bank for example is like time travel. As soon as you step up to the bank teller, you've travelled back to the early 1990s.
Anything to do with licencing, visas, or anything with Govt. or local Authorities in person is a half day exercise (at best).
Driving can be frustrating and it's true that many on the roads here either don't actually have a licence or have paid someone to get a licence.
Anyway, my time is up working here so we're heading to another country soon for my new job and I will miss some things here but I'm also looking forward to getting back to the 21st century in many ways too.

I thought about Cebu bk in the day but chose the younger more vibrant night life scene of Angeles City 👍 you could do Cebu and simply travel to AC for a week or weekend rather cheaply
