I just did the install. The top pole is still very wobbly. The base is secure. Any tips to fix that? I was thinking a plumbers coupling or something. Open to any and all suggestions

Ours is wobbly also. I was debating if they did that by design because when installed plumb it leans slightly forward to the street nicely and the wobble could help with accidental bumps to stay plumb. Just a theory. It seems to be caused by the screws joining the two pipes even though I tightened them hard. I think they don't penetrate the inner post. I agree that it seems like it should be less wobbly. You could try drilling the inside post where the screws go to join the post segments then screw them together and self tapping screws may hold the two posts together then. A sleeve or coupling of the right diameter should help. You could weld a few spots to join the two posts, probably just tack weld the back together. If you prefer drilling you could insert a long stainless steel bolt through both posts. For us it works as is for now and we don't even notice it anymore. The neighbor's cow likes to walk behind our mailbox when she gets loose so maybe it's good to have some play in the post when she nudges it:)

Other than looks, they appear to be close in volumetric space, just with different proportions. They require different posts it seems also. I prefer metal where possible to avoid the plastic world we live in. They both appear to be good boxes.
