little tip for you - let some of the air out of your tires. also measure your height with your deflated tires and mark it down.

Hi Ron, yeah that's always an option & I have had to do it in the past, definitely last case scenario given the crazy city scene, everydays a school day 🙏😄

I had this happen to me on an underpass in Paris. Mad stressful. I feel your pain. All you want to do is escape the spaghetti.

Cheers 🙏, yeah a tad lower would be better but there’s still loads under 3.4m & you've really gotta have your wit's about you, but eh...all part of the adventure 👍😀

Holy moly! We felt your pain at that low bridge, that’s our worst nightmare! We’ve got Istanbul to tackle in the coming weeks, thankfully we only need to go to the Asian side and not to far in to the craziness either! Another great Vlog guys 👍🏻

Hi guys, yeah t'was a tad tense at the time 😀 Istanbul’s full of low bridges but otherwise the rest of the country’s been great. Usually 4.5+

😮 talk about stress. Incredible city though.👍 I thought Mexico city had big markets 😮
Would you say The rubbish issue is as bad as southern Italy? Is it more regional? 🤔
Love the ending cool little cooking show 😋 😊👍🥗🍽🍷🍲

😀😀 Thank you, yeah it maybe wasn't the best combo - Istanbul/truck and Friday rush hour 😫
The rubbish in Turkey is bad but I don't think it's quite as bad as Southern Italy/Sicily but there's not much in it. Appreciate the feedback 🙏😀

Another very enjoyable vlog. I could feel the tension in the truck as you approached the 3.8m bridge. Amused by the policeman saying you couldn't park there and you then stayed 20 minutes! The traffic looked horrendous. I guess you just have to grit your teeth and soldier on but I agree with Phil, give me open spaces / open roads any day rather than cities.

Hi Peter, always good to hear from you. 😃😃 yeah it was a "Oh Shit" moment and yes you've no choice but to work it out, but in fairness the Police were really helpful & got the situation. We certainly won't be back there in the truck any time soon. Give me the mountains & desert every time. 🙏😀

The Fabricator is M&M Body Builders just outside Blofield, east of Norwich, they're a small family run business.
The 10mm clear frosted perspex bathroom door was ordered to size with polished edges from "Trent Plastics" - ordered online & note you must stipulate polished edges otherwise it comes with a rough sawn finish. I bought the fittings separately & drilled/fitted myself.

Don't you have a truck navigation system where you can set the vehicle height in advance, or was the map just wrong?

We do & it’s great particularly in Europe, accurate 99.5% of the time. We’d pre planned the route with the truck sat nav but were re-routed due to a road closure, that funnelled us into a series of duel carriages & before we knew it there were height restrictions in all three options, I quickly choose the highest at 3.8m and got lucky… best laid plans😊

According to the new regulation in Turkiye the population in Istanbul will be sent to Anatolia and other regions, but I do not know how useful it will be and the population will be reduced, but I do not know if the government can achieve this.

    • @TheGapDecaders
      @TheGapDecaders  Рік тому

      Hi, interesting,
That's a big challenge and even if they could achieve it, it'll probably take a decade.
I don't think you can really appreciate the size of Istanbul unless you've been there.
Thank you for taking the time to comment 🙏😀
