My mistake y'all. I said they sold tickets but the show was free apparently. Even so, they still illegally put on a production of a show they had no License to do. Just because tickets were free, does not mean it was within Fair Use.

the cast wasn't even bad. eliza (as much as i hate to admit it) is a REALLY good singer. but oh my GOD the chorus. the CHORUS. god "who lives who dies who tells your story" sweet jesus christ on a pogo stick i actually wept literal physical tears at how bad it was. every time they sang i died a little inside
I remember the 5th graders of a local elementary school putting on Hamilton for their friends and family. They didn't charge admission, they wanted to do it because they were into Hamilton. They filtered out a couple of swears+some songs because its a hella long show for like 20 5th graders, but they didn't try to make it into religious propaganda or something like that.(sorry if "propaganda" sounds harsh i cant think of a better word at the time of writing this) Is that illegal? Does anyone know? Idk i'd just heard of this and remembered that show.

As a Christian and a Hamilton fan myself I cant help but feel disrespected by their actions. Using someone else's HARDWORK and even change it. I do hope they'll be accountable with their actions :((

The best part of them shoehorning their homophobic agenda into this is the irony of them keeping the “Laurens, I like you a lot” line in My Shot which was a direct reference to Hamilton’s “alleged” (though we all know he totally was) bisexuality and the “alleged” affair that he and Laurens had.

What I hate most is the change from " It's planting seeds in a garden you never get to see" to some Jesus shit, the original is both creative/poetic and a literal reference to the life of Hamilton.
