Thoughts on battlemaps - an Unreal Engine experiment

- Here is a video I made after thinking a lot about how small the maps in the Dungeons and Dragons game really are. I had to try to recreate the environment to see how far apart my imagination and the "reality" of the battlemap are.
Sorry for the poor audio on the microphone, it was the only one I could find when I recorded sound. If the voiceover on my videos is a success, I will get a better voiceover microphone for next time.
this is great! it really is a small space on the map - and in all of D&D battlemaps you barely ever see spaces more than 50' across which is a small area considering spells and arrows are flying. I would say if you remake the map, just make the chasm stretch further north and south, and make the bridges far wider to cross it... but have the crevasse drop off deep deep into the underdark or just very deep into the ground and have some kind of deadly predator down there to discourage the players from going to explore
Thanks! Great idea for a map remake, if I’ll ever dm LMoP again I might do something like that. Except from some locations in Storm Kings Thunder I always find the official maps to so small.
