The factory floor mats, when we replaced ours with weathertec, went in the back on top of the spare tire.
Because kneeling on a carpet floor mat is way more comofrtable than kneeling on the chipseal shoulder when changing a tire, no matter what the weather.
That graphics card! I’d love to come across that in the trash!

Glad to know us people in new england are not the only ones that seem to get rain way too often this summer. I pour concrete so it creates real problems with getting loaded concrete trucks around the job sites with so much mud.

Mike, while I have always shared your enthusiasm for scrapping I no longer have, at 75, your endless energy. You are one energizer guy. Remember most schools can put to good use a box of pens and pencils.
I'm only 42 and it's not as easy for me to climb in as it was 10 years ago. I wonder if he has ever done like me and slipped when going to hop in and rake both shins down the edge of a dumpster. I stood there leaning against it for what felt like an hour swearing I was done lol. Actually I was back out the next day.
you put so much energy into what you do....great to watch...and as for quiet, I dont think you could be quiet ,but as you are only dumpster diving it doesnt matter too much...LOL...be safe

Hey Mike- there is no mercury in florescent bulbs, they are filled with Argon gas. Only antique neon light's were filled with Mercury!
On average, CFLs contain about four milligrams of mercury sealed within the glass tubing. ... No mercury is released when the bulbs are intact (i.e., not broken) or in use, but mercury vapor and very small beads of mercury can be released when a CFL is broken.

Gene -There IS mercury in all fluorescent light bulbs and tubes, but won't harm you if not broken. They should be turned in for proper disposal so the mercury doesn't wind up in landfills, as they will get broken and release the mercury into the environment.
@@georgiadavison4394 there is no mercury in modern florescent bulbs- they havn't used mercury in florescent lights since the 70's my dear! I worked in the industry for several years- modern flourescent lights contain Argon gas which is not toxic nor harmful to the invironment! We use ARGON to shield welds in welding, it removes the oxygen from the atmosphere around the welds to prevent carbon buildup in the welds-.. Look it up if you don't believe me- mercury was removed from the process in the 70's at the same time we removed lead from paint! Due to it's toxicity to human's and the environment! What you are thinking of is NEON lighting which uses different elements to change colors in the light's- in that case red is mercury!

That gtx 970 is a graphics card for a computer
The Multi media card reader plugs into the USB pins on the motherboard and let's you read all types of camera cards
The netgear USB is a wireless adapter so you can get wifi on a computer
Was a GTX 770 Founders Edition inside the box.
I found a similar card reader too and soldered a USB cable to it so I can use this as a regular external reader.
Graphics card is worthless btw.
Mike you can part the trays and basket etc. off that dishwasher for good money.

Hey Mike, great finds! I just wanted to mention that whenever you find a fan you should break off the fan blades and leave them behind. They just take up extra space and aren't worth anything. Keep on scavenging!

Hey Mike, the easiest way to get the tubes out of those light fixtures is to lay it flat and step on one end. The end will bend outward and the light tubes all come free at once.
Mike. Carry a cordless drill for the TV’s. Take out the 6 screw on back of the TV and pull the copper wires out of the inside of the TV then dump the rest back in the dumpster. Easy money!

Same here in Oregon. Plus they don’t recycle everything like we do so all the metal and fun stuff goes away before we can get to them. You have to find roadside stuff or look on Craigslist and sites like that. I like mikes way better!

That graphics card will go for $100+ with the shortage of GPU's recently. Dont go too cheap with it. Even spare or repairs ones are doing good money.

10:00 Yeah, you might ave found yourself a nice GPU here, graphics processing unit, in other words graphics card. 770 can still play good games. I got a 1080ti. the first two letters 10 means the series, in other words the years it is made, there is no 8 series, and then you got 50, 60, 70, and 80, that is the model, where 60 starts as a little over middleclass graphics card so the 70 was a good one, 80 is fastest of these, ti means something extra, more powerful than no ti.
A 760 could play Watchdogs 2 in 1080P unless you did drive around town over extreme distances and fast, then it crashed, but that is not normal gameplay. Watchdogs 2 is known as a CPU hard game,one did got to havea good CPU too to run that. A 770 should play that game good regarding GPU power.

12:24 Looks like a Windows somewhat, perhaps 8, register code. It could be upgraded to Windows 10 for free, But it must be a Windows that is not bound to a computer sold in the store to use it. But if it is the right version you got a universal Windows that can be used in any pc you want it in, the newest one 11 has not yet come on the market.

You work in a restaurant. Purchase a box of food gloves that way you can put them over your gloves to help keep them dry. When finished leave them in the dumpster. Cheap. And healthier for you. I use them all the time when I have to handle nasty stuff.
