My very best song and yes Jesus is my very best friend will never never never ever betray you as a friend never ......matter fact he died for me and you and all people walks of life no Special race of life absolutely everyone
Thank you for your nice comment. Yes, it is also one of my favourite songs which encourages us to stay on speaking terms with our best Friend the Lord Jesus Christ. He's made such a sacrifice for us that we can be free. All the very best regards, Marcus
+Bruce Snow Thank you Bruce, your kind comment is much appreciated! I'm glad that you liked it. This song is also one of my favourites. God bless you too. Marcus
Gospel Steel 28 thank you for playing this song (What A Friend We Have In Jesus) beautiful sound I just love steel guitar music soo smooth and relaxing I just love the music of steel guitar. God bless you.
You are most welcome, thank you for watching, and for your kind comment. I apologise for being so late at replying to you and all the other folks. Truly blessed that you have enjoyed it, all the Glory goes to our dear Lord Jesus. God bless you, thank you again for watching.
I really like the way you do the song. I have a universal 12 Sierra and I've been working on that song lately trying to add new licks to it rather than just going up and down the fretboard.
Thank you Brian for your nice comment, I'm glad that you liked it. It is a wonderful song to play, and lends itself well to the steel guitar. It's always interesting to experiment, I'm sure you would get some nice sounds with your 12 string!
Wish the camera were at an angle to show you working the pedals too, but it was good to see some knee lever action. That's one thing missing from most pedal steel videos. I have a hard enough time with a regular guitar so I suspect it would be folly for me to take up pedal steel myself, though.
Hello, I apologise about that camera angle, I really didn't have the best set up to show everything at the time. You should 100 percent got for it with the pedal steel guitar, you would enjoy it. It is challenging, but well worth it. Thank you for watching the videos. Best regards Marcus.
I just figured out your right knee going left might instead be the seventh string raise from f# to g which is my vertical lever. It sounds really neat though.
Hi Brian, thank you for your nice comment, and your interest. I just had a look at my steel, and my right lever going left lowers string 6 from Ab to F# and raises string 1 to G, I think. I'm glad that you like it!
Thank you very much. These sound tracks are from John Hughey Gospel sound track cds I had borrowed from a friend. They might be available online from time to time, I can't remember what their title was now, but know that there were two cds that were Gospel backing tracks by John. Hope this was in some way helpful to you.
I noticed your lowering a string with your right knee lever going left, it sounds really neat what string does that lower? On my universal 12 that lever lowers the fifth string B, but on your guitar it sounds like a lower string.
GospelSteel28 I think they call that the Franklin pedal or lever in your case. I don't have that change on my guitar but it sure does sound good. I was trying to figure out how you played the song and that explains why I couldn't figure it out. Your version of the song is my favorite one I've heard yet. Thank You
Jesus is the best friend we will ever have. Thank you.
Absolutely Beautiful! Praise the lord for your music! Thank you for sharing!

You play well, Marcus. How long have you been playing now? I hope to get me one soon..
Thank you very much for your kind comment, I started playing in 2009. I'm glad that you are looking at getting a steel soon, it's a great instrument.
