j_lil Thank you for your nice comment, I'm so glad that it was a blessing to you, and for how it brought back those memories of your Grandpa singing it. All the best, and thanks for watching! Marcus
Music to the soul, this is! Thanks for sharing it. One can just sit and listen and listen. It has been a long time since music spoke to my heart like this. Very nice playing too! God has been very gracious to you by giving you so many talents. God bless you in abundance!
Great song from out of the era of influenza deaths, suffering and war as many lost loved ones. Pray we are not headed that way again as human kind seems to prefer denying & repeating history instead of learning from it.
Joe Alan Thank you for your nice comment, I'm so glad that it was a blessing to you, and that you have fond memories of your Dad singing it. Thank you again! Marcus
Very nice my friend! God bless you brother! It does my soul good to see someone else who loves to play gospel music on the steel as much as I do! Keep on picking and grinning!

Hi Marcus - Another beautiful one, my friend. I love it - Just beautiful on the steel guitar. I love the song. I started a special playlist of yours and added it to it. Thanks so much for sharing. Take care. Gwen
Hi Floyd, I appreciate your comments, and glad that you liked my video. Yes Gwen has been very supportive of my playing, great to see that you are friends, and play in that same group. I did enjoy watching y'all playing. I will continue playing the Gospel songs!! All the best, Marcus.
This is one of my favorites. Was played at my Daddy's Funeral. Is a beautiful song. You did an awesome job as far as I am concerned. Hear a harmonica in the back ground as well. Just add to the beautiful heart feltness in the playing of the steel. There is nothing like it. Keep it up, and don't change
Thank you so much for your kind comment, and I do sincerely apologize for my late reply to your message, somehow I had missed seeing it. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the song and certainly appreciate your words of encouragement.
Hey Marcus, I really enjoyed this. I see you know my friend Gwen, I live just across the river from her and I play harmonica with the Outback Pickers when I get a chance. Keep playing that good old Gospel!!! - Floyd Amason
Thank you so much for your kind thoughts and words. I am so glad that it was a blessing to you, that is what makes it worthwhile, when it is a blessing to others. God bless you too!
steelinatune Thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement Dale! I am glad that you enjoyed it. I must apologize for the late reply to your message!
GospelSteel28 You’re welcome and most deserving... Loved how you did that song, ANOTHER old favorite... lol... I’ve done a couple of Country things lately “Nameless Shuffle” (written by Buddy Emmons) and Borrowed Angel and old Mel Street song... they were both a lot of fun to do... I’ve had some mental blocks with how I wanted to do Old Rugged Cross, so needed to just get away from it for awhile... I’m working on it again now and just about have it where it’s acceptable... lol.
steelinatune Thank you, I enjoy playing this one a lot, all these songs lend themselves nicely to the pedal steel don't they? It sounds like you have been busy with some more videos. I'm really looking forward to your version of "Old Rugged Cross" I know how you feel, it can be easy to get a block when working on a song. It's going to come out great I'm sure of that.
GospelSteel28 ... Marcus, I actually posted Old Rugged Cross today... It’s on my UA-cam now... BTW, my niece is in New Zealand right now visiting family... I’d love to visit there someday, it looks beautiful there...
Thanks Dale, that is great! I just listened to it now, and loved it, you did a very nice rendition of it! I hope your niece has an enjoyable stay during her time here in NZ, it is a lovely country, I'm sure that you would like it.
Hi there, Thank you for the kind words, I am so glad that you enjoyed it! It looks like you have a nice Keyboard all the same, even without the steel sounds! Marcus
friend ... greetings from Argentina ... I ask, what is the tuning of your instrument, taking a register from the thinnest string to the thickest of the 10 that the steel guitar carries ??? I would appreciate your help so that I can have a correct tuning bone on my instrument.
